Pooch Buddies is the BEST! We've used other dog walking services in the valley, but none have been as great as Pooch Buddies! Janet really goes out of her way to make sure your dog is geting the personal attention needed. She has not only helped us with walking services, but also my dog was having a bladder problem for a while, and she talked us through what could be going on behaviorally (while of course also recommending we take her to the vet to make sure it wasn't a bladder infection)... I couldn't believe how much she genuinely cared! Our past walkers wouldn't have had much more of a conversation beyond "if she goes in the house, we'll clean it up." I just had an awesome experience here at Pooch Buddies! At first I was a little skeptical... I mean I'm dropping my 11 month old pup at someone's house for the first time! But I read the 5 star reviews so I decided to check it out. I called Janet and she was really sweet and offered to take Loofah (my pup) in for the day! They are right next to my school, so I thought it would be really convenient. The house was amazing! Lots of play space for dogs but just enough to watch all of them. Janet sent me a picture and an update on how Loofah was doing and who she played with. It was adorable! It is a little pricy but she only takes in a few dogs at a time and she gave my pup individualized care. I told her about the medication my pup was on and she completely understood that she needed some special attention. When I got there, she was in the doggy area with 2 small dogs. Janet told me about Loofah's day and it seemed like Loofah had a great time! Of course it is a bit pricy... $50 for 8 hrs... But I love the attention she gets! We probably won't be coming EVERY single day, but I think we will come again! 5 stars! read more

I. Love. Pooch Buddies. There I said it. and I MEANT it. We needed to arrange for someone to come in and walk our girl twice over 2 days. Our regular walker was MIA, and we were frustrated. I work at an apartment community where a few of our residents rely on Pooch Buddies, so I figured it was worth a shot if these folks were comfortable using them on a regular basis. I mean, if you have a pet, you know how important it is to find a trustworthy, affordable sitter or walker. This is important stuff! Your pet's like your kid, y'know? (with the difference being that you don't have to send your dog to college, of course.) Janet was quick to respond to my rather last-minute request and she set us up with Kelli. We arranged to leave a key for her and sent directions to our place. This is notable because it is next to impossible to find your way to our door due to some weird geography. They hung in there with my homemade map and page-long instructions and found us. Kelli texted me upon arrival and then again later to let me know that our dog had been walked and that they were now getting some all-too-important play and cuddle time. This really set my mind at ease. It was so great to know my fuzzy baby was being treated well. The 2nd day wasn't such a cakewalk due to a broken elevator and some dead cell phones. When we woke we found our phones dead and were not able to plug them in until mid-morning. When we did, we found texts, emails and messages from Janet stating that Kelli had arrived to find that our elevator was down, so she would need to use the stairs. She was unable to get onto our floor as we had only left her our apartment door key and not the main stairwell access key. I wrote her back and apologized for the inconvenience and confusion, and told her that our girl would be okay until we got home later in the day. Well, Janet wasn't havin' it. As Kelli was booked out for the rest of the day, Janet took it upon herself to head to our place after I received word from building management that our elevator was back up and running. I mean, talk about great customer service. I so appreciated that a business owner would take it upon herself to go the extra mile to take care of us. Visited for the first time today-checking things out for possible boarding. Awesome. My little doxy mix and fluffy white wild child had a ball roaming around, running, sniffing and just having fun. Their tails wagging and up and they seemed perfectly happy and comfortable. That's really important and a good indicator of how they'll do when they're in boarding. The facilities are comfortable, clean, and fun for pups and there's a pool for those who like to swim (and life jackets). The pups sleep in a large living room area with dog beds, sofas, chairs. We have a play date coming up so we'll see how they do without Mama there. I worry about our wild child because she's an escape artist but safety and supervision are excellent. We are so thankful to have found Janet and Pooch Buddies for our wedding weekend. We are obsessive dog parents and have never boarded our 5lb dog. Needless to say we were very nervous about putting our dog in someone else's hands. What sold me on Pooch Buddies was that Janet helped me to explore other options besides boarding knowing that we weren't comfortable with the idea. She wanted what was best for our dog and what made us feel the most at ease. When I arrived to drop off my dog, Janet gave me a tour of her home and where my dog would be in relation to the other dogs. She made sure my dog would be secluded, but not caged, and that if she showed interest in other dogs and outside areas she would let our dog just be a dog. Our dog was of course very happy to have us come back and pick her up, but if we ever needed to board our dog while in LA, Pooch Buddies is our go to. We also loved the text updates and pictures. We recently had an absolutely fantastic experience with this business. Even though it was high season for dog boarding and they were pretty well booked up for the weekend, Janet took our dog at the last minute. She had us bring her the day before so she could meet her and make sure it was going to work out with the other dogs there as well as make sure our dog responded to her. After meeting Janet and looking around the place we felt completely comfortable leaving our dog with her. There's a lot of space for roaming around in the back yard, and the dogs are welcome to swim in the pool if they want to. She can also partition the dogs from each other if need be. I was concerned about my dog pestering the other dogs, as she has a lot of energy, but Janet had a solution for that. She said she'd put her with her other high-energy dog and let them run it out early in the day, then they both would probably be pooped for the rest of the day. My dog was so excited to be there, and I thought she responded very well to Janet. She obviously really loves dogs. My favorite part and a nice surprise was that we got daily texts from Janet, with photos, letting us know what our dog had been up to that day. She looked very happy. The prices were very reasonable, and it's marvelous knowing I don't have to worry about what to do with her next time we go out of town. read more
