The amount of love, patience, communication, and genuine care they give them is something really rare. You can tell they truly care about the animals they watch and pay attention to each dog individually instead of treating them like "just another dog." My dogs are always happy, comfortable, loved, and excited when they see them, which honestly says more than anything I could write. Having peace of mind knowing my babies are safe and genuinely cared for means everything to me. I'm incredibly grateful for T&F and truly could not recommend them more.

We get frequent updates, and their Instagram is always full of happy pups, which gives us even more peace of mind. We were a little worried at first because Maui isn't used to being around other dogs, but it's clear they took amazing care of her and made her feel comfortable. We can genuinely see how happy and well-loved she is after each stay. We'll definitely be using TF Daycare for all our future trips!

While I do appreciate the fact that Alaina offered to refund her fee, I was trying to be nice and thought that she had given us her time, etc. However, after some time away from the situation and after attending MUCH cheaper / MORE helpful classes at our local PetCo, I now know that we didn't get really anything out of the two partial days she spent with us. Lesson learned. First example, she contradicted herself on more than one occasion confusing us and maybe even herself. We rescued a puppy from a shelter, a puppy that had been in quarantine and had come from another high kill shelter. She told us to get over where the puppy came from because the puppy got over it already...however she sites Pavlov and how dogs learn from positive reinforcement but how can they only learn from the positive, don't they also learn from the negative?? She admitted that she misspoke and didn't mean to. She mentioned that during our meetings, she has limited time so she sometimes rushes through things. Not good. Second example, on to our first actual meeting (the consultation), she spent AT LEAST 1/2 of ours telling us about how she had clients that lived in $10 million dollar homes and other similar comments, as if this would impress us, really?? It felt a little slimly, used car salesperson anyone?? She did not give us the full two hours 'we didn't need it'. Third example, she wanted to take my dog for the day, I do not know where and was very confused because she hadn't made this clear to me. She said she didn't have enough time during our training sessions to really work with the dog. For whatever reason, this made me very uncomfortable. How are we going to work with our dog if we are not there?? I think she was probably going to take the dog to her trainer because she was more than a little perplexed by our crazy puppy. * Her walking technic would have killed the dog if we had implemented it. She wanted us to pivot the other way when she pulled. This would have never worked with our dog. * Walking should be fun, not THAT MUCH work for the dog or us! * The 'bonk' she wanted us to smack the puppy with pissed the dog off to no end, created more anxiety in all of us and the dog. * There is not a one size fits all for training any dog. * She sites 'bad dogs' for barking at her dogs while walking or standing in front of them. These 'bad dogs' are on their property, behind a gate. Why are they bad?? Aren't dogs supposed to bark at times? My dog, without her help, walks by similar barking dogs every day, looks at them and keeps walking. * We felt that she was always watching the clock, not really giving us the full hour training we expected. Live and learn. I have learned, love our local PetCo, Bridgitte gets our crazy dog and loves her.

Before he would jet after squirrels and rabbits, now he is a perfect pup. After we had such success with the training we decided to switch our dog walking service and go with Alaina. I hired the valley pet sitters to come for an extra day and came home a day later thinking my cats had at least clean glasses of water and extended my trip. I also left a handwritten note by the glasses of Water saying please do two fresh glasses each time of fridge water. When I got home, there was only two glasses used and both were full of slimy bacteria filled water because they were not cleaned or changed out for over a week. I would not have stayed an extra day if I ever thought for a second the note wouldn't have been read or the notes online that say use two fresh glasses that are in a pile of fresh clean glasses right by the fridge. even if I did not leave the note, why would anyone ever think cats would drink slimy bacteria infested water they would choose toilet water over a dirty bowl of water. You should always change the dry food bowls before we're feeling and the dishes of water rinsing is not even good enough, but everyone that knows Cats knows this. You're a bad caretaker for cats. If you give them water in any dirty dish, that's disgusting and rude.

Apart from getting the commands down, she taught us techniques to help our German Shepard puppy get over his anxiety with strangers. Kate helped us understand our dogs needs better, establish boundaries, and we are all so much happier for it. Puppy kindergarten was also a very important part of this process because you get to train in an more challenging environment while also socializing your puppies (something that was especially hard last year-2020).

I guess it's time for another update because somehow every year I become even more grateful for…read moreAlly and Travis. Lately, I've seen so many heartbreaking stories about doggy daycares: dogs getting hurt, neglected, escaping, or simply not being treated with the love they deserve. Every time I read one, my first thought is the same: thank God Nova has Ally and Travis. Nova has been coming here since he was just 6 months old. He's now about to turn 5, which means they've been part of nearly his entire life. They've watched him grow from a timid, reactive puppy into the confident, happy dog he is today. They know his quirks, his routines, what makes him nervous, what makes him excited, and they have loved every version of him along the way. As dog owners, we all know there are very few people we'd trust with our entire heart. That's what our dogs are. They're not just pets, they're family. And somehow Ally and Travis have earned a level of trust that I didn't even know was possible. I've left Nova with them for the longest periods I've ever left him with anyone, and I've never once laid awake wondering if he was okay. There has never been a moment where I questioned whether he was safe, loved, exercised, or cared for. That kind of peace is priceless, and if you're a dog parent, you know exactly what I mean. What means the most to me is that Nova makes the choice himself every single time. The second he realizes where we're going, he's beside himself with excitement. If he doesn't get to see Ally or Travis, he cries. When he does, he runs to them without looking back. As someone whose dog was once fearful of people, seeing him love someone that deeply tells me everything I need to know. Dogs don't fake trust. They don't pretend to feel safe. They either do, or they don't. Nova has never questioned whether Ally and Travis are his people. Over the years, they've been there through my work schedule, my vacations, family emergencies, and every moment in between. They have given me something I can never truly repay: the ability to go through life knowing that the biggest piece of my heart is safe. That feeling is something every dog parent hopes to find, and so few actually do. Even if life takes me somewhere else one day, if I'm ever back in town and need someone to watch Nova, there is no question where he's going. I would drive hours just to leave him with Ally and Travis because trust like this isn't replaceable. They're not just our daycare: they're part of Nova's family. If you're scrolling through reviews wondering whether this is the right place for your dog, I hope this helps. Five years later, after hundreds of drop-offs and pickups, I can say with complete confidence that choosing Ally and Travis was one of the best decisions I've ever made for Nova. They have loved him like he was their own, and I will spend the rest of his life being grateful for that.
