Where do I begin, Joe has a special gift of communicating with dogs. He has helped us out so much with our. We went from having a reactive Aussie to being able to walk him and his sister together with no reactions. Joe is someone I can trust to board my dogs with. I know they will be in a great hands and his family are just as kind and wonderful. If you need your dog trained, look no further than Dogfit LA!

Joe is the best there is! He treats your pet as if they were his own. One of the main reasons I picked his Board & Train program over the thousand others in Los Angeles. I've now sent both of my dogs to him at two different times. He would send me almost daily updates on my pups and would always be available when I reached out for questions. Both dogs, very different breeds and different training needs came back to us after the B&T so much different. They are less reactive to dogs on walks and is more respective of boundaries in our home. On top of that, the doggy day care and boarding is so convenient, I wouldn't trust anyone else with my pups & I know they will be well exercised and maintained even just at daycare. I will continue to take any future dog I may adopt to Dog Fit La & will always recommend to other dog parents!

The 5 stars is well deserved! Joe at dog fit LA is great. We have two dogs a shiba and a Jindo rescue. We were having problems with in home aggression between our two dogs and Joe taught us how to help both of our dogs feel safe! We had the unfortunate time of going through two other trainers before Joe that would scare our rescue into a corner instead of actually helping her feel like she was safe enough not to lash out. We continue to use the daycare and we are now working on off leash freedom with my Shiba! Our dogs are always excited to see and stay with Joe and his pack! Couldn't ask for a better trainer.

I can't think of enough good things to say about Dog Fit LA. I'm extremely picky with who I leave my girl with (she's a rescue with a history of trauma) but I feel so lucky to be able to leave my dog with someone who will love and care for her as much as I do (and if I'm being honest, I'm pretty sure she has a lot more fun there then she does with me...). From the moment my dog, Doja, met Joe she loved him (she's typically fearful around strangers). I knew then this was the right person. Joe will take care of your K9 children like his own--that's truly the best feeling as a dog mom and allows me to travel worry-free. Under Joe's care, Doja not only gets the best care and attention, but also appropriate socialization and training. Doja comes back to me more relaxed and at ease, she's more open to meeting dogs and humans after, too! Joe also makes himself available to discuss your dog's behavior and training tips. It really shows me that he cares and I see that in the way he goes above and beyond. I've attached some pictures of her at Dog Fit LA (she's the white pit mix with the silly grin on her face).

Joe (and his family) are the best! I feel so safe having my little dog stay with him regardless of the size of the rest of the squad. He is communicative and so so good with all of the dogs. Can't recommend him enough!

Our one year old Golden Retriever/Bernese Mountain Dog mix has been going to DogFitLA since he was three months old! Joe is patient, positive, and practical with his training tips! He gears his training to each individual dog taking into consideration their breed, personality, and needs. Whether your pup is in day care, board and care, or having in home training sessions with Joe, they are absolutely getting the socialization, training, and love we all want for our fur babies.

Lately, I've seen so many heartbreaking stories about doggy daycares: dogs getting hurt, neglected, escaping, or simply not being treated with the love they deserve. Every time I read one, my first thought is the same: thank God Nova has Ally and Travis. Nova has been coming here since he was just 6 months old. He's now about to turn 5, which means they've been part of nearly his entire life. They've watched him grow from a timid, reactive puppy into the confident, happy dog he is today. They know his quirks, his routines, what makes him nervous, what makes him excited, and they have loved every version of him along the way. As dog owners, we all know there are very few people we'd trust with our entire heart. That's what our dogs are. They're not just pets, they're family. And somehow Ally and Travis have earned a level of trust that I didn't even know was possible. I've left Nova with them for the longest periods I've ever left him with anyone, and I've never once laid awake wondering if he was okay. There has never been a moment where I questioned whether he was safe, loved, exercised, or cared for. That kind of peace is priceless, and if you're a dog parent, you know exactly what I mean. What means the most to me is that Nova makes the choice himself every single time. The second he realizes where we're going, he's beside himself with excitement. If he doesn't get to see Ally or Travis, he cries. When he does, he runs to them without looking back. As someone whose dog was once fearful of people, seeing him love someone that deeply tells me everything I need to know. Dogs don't fake trust. They don't pretend to feel safe. They either do, or they don't. Nova has never questioned whether Ally and Travis are his people. Over the years, they've been there through my work schedule, my vacations, family emergencies, and every moment in between. They have given me something I can never truly repay: the ability to go through life knowing that the biggest piece of my heart is safe. That feeling is something every dog parent hopes to find, and so few actually do. Even if life takes me somewhere else one day, if I'm ever back in town and need someone to watch Nova, there is no question where he's going. I would drive hours just to leave him with Ally and Travis because trust like this isn't replaceable. They're not just our daycare: they're part of Nova's family. If you're scrolling through reviews wondering whether this is the right place for your dog, I hope this helps. Five years later, after hundreds of drop-offs and pickups, I can say with complete confidence that choosing Ally and Travis was one of the best decisions I've ever made for Nova. They have loved him like he was their own, and I will spend the rest of his life being grateful for that.

Here is my recent terrible experience with a Kitty Sitty boarder. The Kitty Sitty dispatcher, Faith, put me in touch with a couple who boards cats - Lori and Mark. Faith told me that Lori and Mark were reliable and professional. But when I arrived at their house, I was taken aback. The living room was devoid of furniture and occupied by several yapping, growling little dogs. Another room was dedicated to cats. It did contain cat accessories including a cat tree and scratching post, but it smelled bad as if the space was never cleaned. Mark had me sign an agreement indemnifying him, but he did not ask me for vet records. No matter, he assured me, my cats would be the only ones in the cat room for my four-day trip. I left my two cats there with some trepidation, and I'm sorry I did. Four days later when I picked them up, I found a horrible scene. In the living room there were now five yapping, growling dogs. In the so-called dedicated cat room, contrary to what Mark had assured me, there were now other cats, all using the same two small litter boxes and food bowls, mine. My cats could have contracted toxoplasmosis from those communal boxes. The food bowls that I had provided for my cats were lying around the floor half full of stale-looking food available for all the cats to eat. The food itself was not just my cats' food but meat scraps and other food that I don't feed them. Wet cat food was also clumped on the floor, and there were lumps of food in one of my cat carriers. The entire room smelled rancid and sour. One of my bowls was missing until Lori left the room and came back with it. When I told Lori that I was not happy other cats being in the room with mine, she became aggressive and began to video me aggressively, screaming , "You stop right there! I'm getting this! Stop! Stop!" Not wanting to engage, I paid her the $280 for four days and left with my cats. At home, I threw away my canvas cat carriers because the bad smell had soaked into them. I was able to wipe down my cat food holder with a mild bleach solution. I want to add that Lori and Mark had several hours advance text notice that I was coming to pick up my cats. They could have at least collected and cleaned my bowls and cat carriers, but they didn't. They are utterly unqualified to take care of other people's pets. A day later, my cats came down with kennel cough. The space was clearly not sanitary. As for The Kitty Sitty, it could not have vetted them. It is not professional service.
