What a waste of time and money…read more First took my car to Toyota who couldn't fix it, but "highly" recommended Aamco to me to have a "second look" because they will have more equipment (as mine was not a Toyota so they could only test so much). Trusting both parties, I drove to Aamco two days later after speaking to a friendly manager Doug. Met him at the shop and he asked me to describe the problem to him. I told him the engire is misfiring. This is when the engine starts shaking back and forth like a race horse, and occasionally causes you to stall or slow down abruptly which will be very dangerous on a highway with cars following you at 100km/h. I know for a fact it's misfiring because this is not the first time. The mystery is the cause. In some cases, it's the spark plug, but sometimes, it can be other parts connected to the engine (or so I'm told). Doug assured me that he was use his equipment to test my issue properly. Hours later he called and said he could not pinpoint the problem. I asked him how he tested it and he said they drove the car around. He suggested that I bring it back when it gets worse. Worse? It's already worse! That's why I was there. I'm not going to allow the car to break down in the middle of a a highway to confirm that it's "worse". I am disappointed that they were not more honest up front and just tell me they can't fix it. They charged me for half an hour time to tell me what I know already!

I had the vehicle towed at night, called in the morning and the manager apologized saying he is really busy and they are booking for a week. Not rude, just stating the facts. When I mentioned that he did the work 2 years ago, there was a pause and he actually sounded disappointed that the repair only lasted only 2 years. Even though the invoice stated one year warranty, he said he would get back to me later in the day on the status and schedule. 4:30 I received a call, fixed and he only charged me labour. He was good humoured, honest and with a major repair shop down the street that just closed he may become our regular guy.

The after market dash cameras had problems with draining the battery despite the vehicle being off. This particular Lexus OEM would be wired into the car and would not drain the battery while the vehicle was parked The reception guy had quick attention to detail as he noticed the recent purchase, mileage, etc. the installation took almost half a day and the technician at the end, walked me through the download of the app and how to view the dash camera videos. The transaction was seamless. They offered me a ride to a local shopping center due to the long wait.

It was an early crisp fall Sunday morning when my rear tire started making a grinding noise out of…read moreno where. I had a huge list of things that needed to get done on my one day off this week, but the sounds coming out of that one tire were saying there's now way I could keep driving around without getting it fixed -- I needed some help and fast! I call up Fowler, who I've never used before by the way, after checking auto shops via yelp that are open on a Sunday (not many are). I also called my dealer but of course they don't even answer phones. The guys at Fowler pickup the phone, I explain the issue, and they say "sure come on in today and we'll look at it..." 4 minutes of tire-grind-ouch-driving later and I'm at the shop. They do a quick inspection, move a few cars out of the way for me, and I drive it into the bay. 10mins later they have it all fixed and no more terrible grinding noise. I really appreciate the fact they got me in, were friendly the whole time, and took care of the car and issue. The mechanic says head into the office and we settle up for a very reasonable price. THE GUYS at Fowler saved my day! THANK YOU! PS: this is also the shop where they do all the yellow taxis, which tells me that they know a thing or to about keeping cars on the road...

Have not used Pawlik directly but bought a car from a dealer that used them for an oil change. The…read morePawlik sticker was in the window and was current (Dec11,2023). I recently changes the oil in the car myself and was very disappointed to find that the oil drain bolt was missing its sealing washer and to compensate the drain bolt was over tightened to compensate for the missing washer. Even over tightened the drain plug still leaked. Very poor work, not sure I would trust them with my car when they can't even get an oil drain bolt put back in correctly.
