A BCAA technician and I carefully inspected it and found no nail or visible new damage. When I returned to your shop, I was told the leak was from a "different spot" and was asked to pay again. I refused. After inspecting the tire at home, I found that your technician had marked the exact same location as the original repair. This is blatant dishonesty. You failed to honor your warranty and attempted to charge me again for your own failed work. Such behavior is unacceptable and unethical. I will be filing a formal complaint with BCAA, as well as reporting this incident to consumer protection authorities. People deserve better than to be misled and taken advantage of. This is not about the money but the service quality and honesty.I will also be warning others not to trust this location. I am beyond surprise to see many 5-star reviews for your location. Most justifiable reason could be that they come from fake accounts to mask all your dishonest work. Be aware of this location -other potential victims.

Each time over-priced and untrustworthy in terms of customer service they were telling things like over diagnose to jack-up the price. Would not recommend to anyone, thoroughly disappointed. When I was out of town my check engine light went on and a local shop there did a quick once over…read more There wasn't anything discernible so he turned off the notification but did tell me that if it were to come on again to have it checked out. A few days later it came back on and I stopped at my dealership to see about setting up a diagnostic test to get to the bottom of it. The dealership wouldn't be able to get me in for over a week and estimated that if it was what they thought it was I would be looking at about $1500 to fix it. I definitely don't have that in savings to throw around so I asked friends and family in the area I live if they knew anyone and two people recommended Newton Auto Care. I called them the next morning and Ken was able to get me in on the Saturday which was just a couple of days later. Again, my car ran quite well and nothing discernible from the diagnostic tests but he did reaffirm what the dealership said could be the issue and that it would cost about $1000. Whew, already $500 less which was a relief. I don't have that much socked away but it's easier to meet that than 1500. Ken turned off the notification, sent me on my way and told me to come back if/when it comes on again. Well a week and a half later that lovely check engine light came on again. I stopped in on my way to the WA for work and Ken was able to squeeze me in the next day (Saturday). In the end it was even less than Ken originally quoted and they stand by their work. Funny enough, the check engine light came on again but looks like it's left over sediment from the fuel injector flush that needs to be worked out but when I called to let Ken know he told me to just come on in and they'd check it out. They know a satisfied and happy customer is likely to come back so while the rates may be lower than a dealership one is not compromising on the work ethic. I will definitely be back. It also helps that I can walk home from there if they need to work on my car for a few hours. Thanks to Ken and Geoff for all their hard work, care and trying to help me understand what's up.

The van is my 87 year old Dad's and has sat under a willow tree for a long time and was filthy. I apologized and explained that we all had been sick with covid, and we had had a death in the family. I left the van for new tires, a oil change and wipers, when I picked up Dad's van they had gone above and beyond. The dirty filthy van I left was now shinny and clean and vacuumed inside! I cannot convey how overwhelmed I was, my broken heart healed a little that day! One of the service guys walked out of the garage and opened the front door for me with a big hello. After some friendly banter, Darrin sent me on my way assuring me all would be taken care of with our vehicle in about an hour. 28 mins later I received a call to let me know all was done. After inspecting the car Paul called and told us exactly what the problem was, but said he had looked it up on the internet and discovered that the failed part was in a factory recall, and instructed us to take it to a dealership, which we did. They repaired it within a couple of hours and it was totally free! Paul, if he were dishonest, could have fixed it himself and charged virtually any amount, and we would be none the wiser, but he was honourable! I was looking for an honest and excellent mechanic since we only moved to Surrey a year ago. I'm delighted I have found him. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
