My wife and I came to this Shakey to celebrate one of her cousin birthday since this is his favorite place. We arrived early because we were going to be a big party and I saw parking is limited here. When we came, we were lucky to find a spot right in the front and they were not busy yet. My wife ordered the ultimate PCM which is 2 15in one topping large pizza, 8 piece golden fried chicken and mojo potatoes. She also did the large PCM option too which is 1 large 15in one topping pizza, 8 piece golden fried chicken and mojo potatoes. For the pizza toppings she chose one with pepperoni and mushrooms, the other pizza as Hawaiian and the last pizza with just pepperoni. They made all of our order quick and I just went to pick it up when the pager started buzzing. I'm not a big fan of Shakey but my wife cousin enjoyed it. They have self serve soda machine, I wanted to get cherry coke but it wasn't working properly so I just got a coke. The staff here are great, they came around from time to time to clean up the floor or tables around us. The environment is a hit and miss. read more

Let's be real.. this isn't gourmet pizza. It's Shakey's. Came here for the nostalgia and it delivered. Feels exactly like the 90s.. same vibe, same food, same everything. Not high quality, but honestly... that's part of the charm. Food-wise: exactly what you expect. The pizza has that classic "cardboard-ish" texture we all grew up with, and the pasta isn't anything special but if you set your expectations right, it hits the spot. The buffet $16.99 a person, solid deal, especially with teens. Everyone found something they liked and went back multiple times. Service was friendly, and the potato wedges are still the best thing on the menu. Bottom line: come for the memories and happy kids, not fancy food. read more

I always love coming here. The bunch of lunch is such a perfect lunch, for the price and amount of food it's such a deal. They recently added horchata and Jamaica to their drinks. Not only was the lunch amazing the service we received from Joseph made this visit a 10/10. read more

I called in an order for pickup on a Tuesday evening around 6:30pm. When I arrived, I was surprised by how many people were dining inside for a Tuesday. There was no line at the register and the cashier greeted me right away and asked for the name on the order. My food was ready by the time I arrived and he kindly offered plates, ketchup, and cheese packets. I took advantage of their online deal which included one large pizza and a full order of mojos. The pizza was good and the mojos always hit the spot! read more

This Shakey's Pizza Parlor has been around for as long as I can remember. It definitely has been through a few remodeling but it's still delivers the service. The prices are reasonable. The pizza is nice and thin and not too greasy. The mojos and chicken are fried just right. I love that they have sports going on in the TV and we were able to watch the dodger game so the vibe was awesome. You need to stop by. read more

Food was good. But if you're ADA ( handicapped). You won't be able to use restroom. Especially if you use a walker or wheelchair. Totally not ADA compliant. I had to hold it til I got home. Not convenient what so ever. No wheelchair or walker will fit through this space. But it you want to just wash your hands. There is plenty of room for that. read more

My sister was craving shakeys tonight so decided to treat the fam here. We usually go to our spot in Glendale where we never had a bad experience but we were closest to this one at the time. I wish I had read the reviews before coming to this location or I wouldn't have taken my family here. First of all, the bad reviews are 100% on point. The workers in the register were not friendly at all. It took me 2 mins to tell this woman taking my order that we're getting the Large family deal. As we were also still thinking of adding more stuff, this woman couldnt wait to ask "anything else?", with a dead look in her face. As if we were taking so long to order & we were bothering her?. And yes, I added 18% tip which i regretted right away. WE WONT BE BACK, EVER read more

Everything was great except for the men's bathroom. There is no door, so there is no privacy. My 12-year-old son did not feel comfortable using it because other adults were entering while the bathroom was completely open. It is very uncomfortable to use a bathroom without any privacy. I hope this can be addressed soon. read more

Ambiance!! The manager wouldn't turn up the audio on the TV for the Mexico game today. Instead he played oldies. Nothing against the music but come on everyone there was there to watch the game we want to be able to hear the audio. We left. Weighing out a large order of mojo's that could very well not even fill a box of a small order is diabolical. This is absolutely insane. Fill the dang box . 9 dollars is a scam. read more

My 2 orders of chicken was very over cooked. Unhappy I took back one of the boxes. The manager replaced one box, the other could not be replaced because it had already been eaten. I guess I was supposed to take the pieces out of my guests mouth and take it back to them to confirm that the chicken was over cooked. I can't believe the workers would give customers chicken that way. By the way, the smell of burnt food could be smelled in the parking lot. Not good customer services. read more

This is my 3rd review here, I come here thinking it's going to change. The receptionist in the front, the heaviest set girl with the glasses. Has the worst attitude with her customers. She made me feel uncomfortable, even asking for the little cup for sauce. The place is still dirty everyone that works there is being lazy !! There is other things that I don't want to mention, this is one of the reasons they got shutdown. I took pictures. The business bureau will be hearing about this soon!! read more

Something about this last trip here was just off. The pizza was not hitting like it usually does. The Papas Mojo's were not hot and crispy like they usually are. It makes me so sad to think about the fact that Shakey's was established in Sacramento and flourished in the valley and Bay Area alike from the 50's or 60's into the 80's, and now you have to travel quite a distance to enjoy bunch of lunch and those most delicious mojo potatoes! In any case, stopping at Shakey's for lunch on a long road trip made for a great day! The pizza, mojos, spaghetti, fried chicken, and salad bar are like I remember from 50 years ago. The fried chicken was moist and juicy and was absolutely great! What's different from my childhood is they offer mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, and macaroni and cheese. My five year old was super happy with these new options. The staff was friendly and helpful, not to mention hard working. They kept the tables cleared and cleaned and did a good job of keeping up. The dining room is similar to what I remember with family style wooden tables lined up throughout. It was definitely a great experience, very nostalgic to say the least! When I'm in the area I'll definitely be back! read more

Called Shakey's to order Jeremiah answered and asked if I can pls hold after 15 min picked up and hung up. I called back and he answered by saying Hi sorry were no longer taking orders I told him ok well I called and was placed on hold for 15 min and your just now telling me you ain't taking my order and he said yeah sorry Sooooo Rude he could have at least taken my order after having me on hold and hung up on after waiting 15min read more

I usually go to the Shakey's in East Los, and today I can really say I noticed the difference in the people working there. The women at the front counter -- the ones handling the charges -- are especially rude and dismissive. Instead of greeting customers or showing basic courtesy, they come across as unfriendly and unprofessional, which makes the whole experience less enjoyable. It's disappointing because the food is fine, but when the first impression at the register is so negative, it overshadows everything else. I hope management addresses this, because just a little kindness and respect at the front would make a huge difference! read more

The worst shakey's I've been too , they gave us 3 chickens and fries were soggy but we still ate them bc we were hungry , one of the girl employee did not want to give my son one small toy that was worth 550 but he had 79 points that's all my son wanted but the worst and never coming back , horrible they also started putting chairs by 9:40 while we were still eating .. read more

My family loves Shakey's! We haven't dined in for a few years but we do order for pick up. I called in an order this weekend and hubby picked it up, no issues and they got order correct. This was my first time ordering their garlic cheese bread and it was sooooo good. I might just pick some up next time I make a pasta dinner, lol. Shakey's definitely hit the spot for movie night! There's also always a good amount of parking available. read more

Customer Service is amazing. The staff is so nice. Everything was so smooth and efficient.

What a great place to grab a quick buffet lunch at a very reasonable price. They have a very good spread to pick from, even for people who do not eat pork like myself they have vegetarian and beef options. Can't say enough about the mojo potatoes. I think those are everybody's favorite. The line moves pretty quickly for people pain to get in, then your hand to the plate, and you find your own way. The restaurant is a little crowded, but they can have multiple parties at one time which I understand. It reminds me of eating at a sports bar with all the TVs that are on the walls. The lighting is really well and the place is very vibrant. Quick lunch 12 bucks all you can eat let's go. read more

Customer Service by Joseph was absolutely phenomenal. I know I came off strong, wondering why someone would sale me a pizza, knowing they didn't have all the ingredients in the establishment. But Joseph immediately defused the situation and asked how he could move forward with providing me an alternative solution in which I remain a happy custom. He went above and beyond to accommodate me, and for that I'm thankful, and will also be reaching out to corporate to let them know, this man is who they need in their facility. They required you were a mask when LA county lifted the mandate with vaccinated folks. I was okay to wear one as long as they provided me with one. They did not. I asked if I can order it to go! They said no. I asked to call it in and they bring it to my car they said no. Mean while there are people at the buffet with no mask on. No logic used here. Well too bad, I won't be coming here ever again: plenty of other places, better then these. Try Vincenzo's pizza in NOHO. Way better pizza and the customer service is outstanding.
