I visited this place after seeing their delicious food on Instagram (@Centralpizza__). This place is a hidden gem located inside a liquor store. I ordered Papa Nachos, and it did not disappoint. You order your food at the window, then pay at the liquor store's front counter. The amount of food I received was worth $14. While you wait for your food to be made, you can shop at the liquor store and pay for your items and food simultaneously. I will be coming back and tasting their delicious pupusas. read more

I have seen many photos and videos on Instagram from this place, so I was excited to try them for lunch. It is located inside of a market. There are 3 2 person tables, if you want to eat there. We decided to take ours to go. The food was ready pretty quickly (we were the only customers at that time) 3/5: Mexican Pizza - Interesting idea. Refried beans instead of tomato sauce. Topped with asada, cheese, tocino, jamon, jalapenos and cilantro. The crust was good. 2/5: Pupusas - We got 2 kinds (chicharron & cheese, beans & cheese). We couldn't tell the difference, which is kinda sad. The Instagram videos that they post show the cheese oozing out of the pupusas... Reality was a big let down. read more

What a disappointing experience... I finally decided to try this place out after seeing numerous videos on Instagram about their $1 tacos for taco Tuesdays. I drove all the way here after work, (about 30 min away), and arrived around 4:30pm, just to be told their $1 tacos was not an all day promo. It's only up to 4pm. Why is that information not noted on any of the social media posts being posted on their page? It felt like it was pretty deceptive to not have that info on any of their social media pages. That's something pretty important to know. Not to mention, pretty bad customer service to not honor that price as a courtesy knowing people were coming there specifically for the $1 taco Tuesday they posted all over their Instagram page. read more

Mannnnn....this is definitely a great hidden spot. When in San Fernando Valley and want some bomb ass Mexican Pizza...this place doesn't disappoint! The Mexican Pizza and carne asada pupusas are amazing. My only gripe with this place is the prices. All of the specialty pizzas are near $40 a pie. An XL two topping pizza is about $25'ish, but also gets made with very little toppings, and the cook told me they couldn't add beans to it despite the menu having the option under the listed toppings to choose from. The size of pizzas are okay. The XL is smaller than a Costco pie, and again, the prices are killer. Really good food, but I would go way more often if the pies were $10 cheaper at least. read more

Got a large Mexican and large carnitas, both were tasty but I preferred the carnitas. The carne asada on the Mexican was a little dry, but the carnitas was very tender and had some good fatty pieces. It is a little pricey so just keep that in mind. Other than that, nothing too crazy special for me. read more

We got a BUUUNCH of pizzas and some pupusas. - Birria Pizza = will get again, ask for extra consomme though - Chille Relleno Pizza = will get again but will ask for extra chili otherwise there's very little flavor - Al Pastor Pizza = the best of the lot - Loroco Pizza = will skip next time; loroco cooked this way tasted like brocollini - Ranch Pizza = will skip, little to no ranch flavor We also got pupusas--why is it not 5 stars? This mom & pop pizza shop is popping. It's a hidden gem in the SF valley. Third time ordering pizza & so far I've tried the Al Pastor pizza, Cheese pizza & Birria pizza, all are good, real home made flavors & taste, not like the big chain pizza spots with basic toppings. The Birria pizza comes topped with lots of carne, onion, cilantro, on a bed of homemade crust and layered with beans, and served with a side of the consumé caldo. YUMM. The Al pastor pizza is good too, i cant decide which one i like best. Haven't tried the Carne Asada one yet, but the reviews are good for that one too. This spot is located inside the liquor store, just walk in and turn left. Even though its a small spot they are always busy, and they keep it clean, their cashiers are always nice and willing to answer any questions. Give um a try, you won't regret it! read more
