I had a very disappointing experience with an employee named Cecilia. I ordered my burger with no onions, and when I realized there were onions on it, I brought it to her attention. She initially told me she could not take the burger back, but then proceeded to take it back anyway and simply remove the onions. Unfortunately, once onions have been on a burger, the taste is still there, and I personally cannot stand the taste. I politely asked if the burger could please be replaced so I could actually enjoy the food I paid for. Instead of handling my request professionally, Cecilia walked away laughing. That was what upset me the most. I wasn't trying to be difficult--I simply wanted my order made correctly, and being laughed at made the interaction feel extremely rude and disrespectful. I also found it concerning that she said she could not take food back, yet took my burger back and handled it to remove the onions anyway. Thankfully, the manager stepped in and handled the situation in a kind and professional manner, which I truly appreciated. However, Cecilia's attitude and the way she handled the situation left a very negative impression on me. Customer service makes a huge difference, especially when a mistake with an order can easily be corrected. I absolutely love In-N-Out. It's my favorite burger, and I genuinely love what the company stands for. That's why this review isn't coming from hate... I just want this Sylmar location to be better. I ordered three Double-Doubles Animal Style with whole grilled onions through the drive-thru. I told the first employee, then reminded the second employee when he repeated my order without the onions. He even relayed the request to the team. After waiting through the long drive-thru line, I picked up our food and brought it home to my family. We opened the burgers... zero onions. Not only were the whole grilled onions missing, but they forgot the onions entirely on all three burgers. Mistakes happen, and I normally wouldn't make a big deal out of it. But after specifically mentioning the onions multiple times to 2-3 employees, it was pretty frustrating to end up with none. I still love In-N-Out, but this Sylmar location has a consistently slow drive-thru, and this experience definitely didn't help. Stopped by this newer In-N-Out location for lunch on a Friday and had a great experience. There's plenty of parking and a drive-thru, and I really liked the early exit lane in the drive-thru in case the line gets too long and you decide to walk inside instead. It's standard In-N-Out in the best way, with all the usual menu options you expect. The staff was incredibly friendly, personable, and helpful. Despite the lunchtime rush and a visible crowd, service was fast and there was plenty of seating. One thing that really stood out was the freshness of the burgers. Any In-N-Out regular knows that some long-established locations can slip on quality--sloppier builds and soggy buns happen. That was not the case here. The burgers were cleanly made, fresh, and high quality, and they even held up perfectly during a 20-minute drive home. I had a very disappointing experience with Julissa's customer service at In-N-Out. She consistently comes across as having an attitude and seems unhappy to be at work. I have personally observed her handling customers' food in an unnecessarily aggressive manner, including throwing food onto the counter when customers ask for simple things like peppers or extra sauce. Customers should not feel like they are inconveniencing an employee by making a reasonable request. Working in customer service requires patience, professionalism, and respect. I understand everyone has bad days, but this seemed to be an ongoing attitude. I really hope management takes this feedback seriously. In-N-Out should have employees who are willing to provide a positive customer experience and understand that interacting respectfully with customers is part of the job. read more

Surprised by the ratings This is my favorite fast food place period. The staff is pretty nice (and my order is kinda complicated/long), the food is always good, and it's never like too busy. I kinda come here for my work lunch like way too often ;-; They're fast, super consistent, tasty, generally really good. Sometimes if its busy or i get unlucky my order will miss a beat like normal vs extra crispy or something, but its like 9/10 or 19/20 perfect hits The only thing i can criticize is the parking, I don't get it. Love that they opened a new location just around the corner from me, compared to the Laurel cyn location this one is never too packed which makes it better. Take about 15 min in the drive through. This has got to be the worlds slowest drive through. Wow! So we drive in. The line wasn't even out to the street or anything. So we drove straight in to the line inside. We were in line for 1 hr and 9 minutes to be exact. We usually go to the Santa Clarita in and out. And that one, the line is always very long. I man long. But we're never in line at the drive through for more than 15 min. Ever. The workers REALLY need to pick up the speed and work on customer service. Never coming here again because I value my time. I'd rather drive 20 min to Santa Clarita. This is a huge lack of respect to customers. Also, the staff aren't very friendly nor polite at all. Every in and out I've been to everyone is always so nice and happy. Not this one. Huge regrets wasting my time and money here. When I went ambiance was like whatever. Just loud people. So we called customer service and let them know what happened. 4 days later there was a gift card in the mailbox. 2 days later Viviana called from customer service to make sure we received the card and were able to use it. The service was horrible. When I walked into order the cashier didn't even bother to look at my direction when I was ordering. Didn't welcome me or thank me . 25 minutes to get my order when there was only four people in front of me when I got there. When I was waiting for my order I could people just walking around not working. That said, the girl taking payment and girl handing out food acted like they just had a colonoscopy. Got a late night animal fries and I realize it was close to closing but the cheese was barely melted on the sides. 11/14/2025 This In-n-Out has been open for 2 weeks. After waiting an one hour in the drive-through line i ordered two (2) double-double hamburgers with grilled unions for both. I also ordered two (2) french-fries both well-done. This TAKE OUT order was verbally repeated three (3) times at the order microphone and once (1) at the cashier window. When we got home and opened the Take OUT Bag, I received NO Grilled Unions and NO Well-done fries. VERY DISAPPOINTING read more
