Surprised by the ratings This is my favorite fast food place period. The staff is pretty nice (and my order is kinda complicated/long), the food is always good, and it's never like too busy. I kinda come here for my work lunch like way too often ;-; They're fast, super consistent, tasty, generally really good. Sometimes if its busy or i get unlucky my order will miss a beat like normal vs extra crispy or something, but its like 9/10 or 19/20 perfect hits The only thing i can criticize is the parking, I don't get it. Slowest drive thru I've ever been to. When I finally got to pay the inconsiderate cashiers were all shuffling thru receipts and said "what did you order?". I was in disbelief as I just waited 45 minutes and have never experienced such pettiness from In N Out, ever. I have been to over dozens of In N Outs and they are ALWAYS on top of it, and friendly, but not the Sylmar store. I'll make sure Lynsi knows. read more

So glad they finally opened a location in Sylmar, it was definitely needed! When I visited on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm, there was a drive-thru line but it went by pretty quickly. Stopped by this newer In-N-Out location for lunch on a Friday and had a great experience. There's plenty of parking and a drive-thru, and I really liked the early exit lane in the drive-thru in case the line gets too long and you decide to walk inside instead. It's standard In-N-Out in the best way, with all the usual menu options you expect. The staff was incredibly friendly, personable, and helpful. Despite the lunchtime rush and a visible crowd, service was fast and there was plenty of seating. One thing that really stood out was the freshness of the burgers. Any In-N-Out regular knows that some long-established locations can slip on quality--sloppier builds and soggy buns happen. That was not the case here. The burgers were cleanly made, fresh, and high quality, and they even held up perfectly during a 20-minute drive home. In-n-Out Burger in sylmar is finally running. I got here on a Monday evening and not too busy. No line, so I walked right in and ordered. Burger and fries were made perfectly. I also got a gift card. The staff is nice and friendly the vibe is just like any other in n out a little loud. read more

Love that they opened a new location just around the corner from me, compared to the Laurel cyn location this one is never too packed which makes it better. Take about 15 min in the drive through. I always order a number 2 protein style with pickles and grilled onions and debating on how I'm feeling I'll do animal style but lately I've been more into the French fries alone. Lemon up is always a must for me. Overall great location and they've yet to mess up any of my orders. read more

Terrible and I mean with a Capital T terrible service tonight they made me wait almost an hour for animal style fries because I parked and ordered while I literally watched them make multiple while my bag of burgers sat there got cold and most definitely left me disappointed 0/10 experience. The food is always amazing at any in n out but the staff really made this location feel different. I've never seen staff coming to tables and asking if we need anything at in n out but this location is the exception. This has got to be the worlds slowest drive through. Wow! So we drive in. The line wasn't even out to the street or anything. So we drove straight in to the line inside. We were in line for 1 hr and 9 minutes to be exact. We usually go to the Santa Clarita in and out. And that one, the line is always very long. I man long. But we're never in line at the drive through for more than 15 min. Ever. The workers REALLY need to pick up the speed and work on customer service. Never coming here again because I value my time. I'd rather drive 20 min to Santa Clarita. This is a huge lack of respect to customers. Also, the staff aren't very friendly nor polite at all. Every in and out I've been to everyone is always so nice and happy. Not this one. Huge regrets wasting my time and money here. When I went ambiance was like whatever. Just loud people. But the over an hr wain in drive through and lack of customer service still really did it for me. Also, their prices are higher than other In and out locations. Well we went through the drive thru and ordered food to go. When we got home we were missing an item out of our order! So we called customer service and let them know what happened. 4 days later there was a gift card in the mailbox. 2 days later Viviana called from customer service to make sure we received the card and were able to use it. The service was horrible. When I walked into order the cashier didn't even bother to look at my direction when I was ordering. Didn't welcome me or thank me . 25 minutes to get my order when there was only four people in front of me when I got there. When I was waiting for my order I could people just walking around not working. Not even paying attention to the orders and need to be served for the customers that were waiting when I got my food hamburgers were hot the shakes were not even cold. I've been to a lot of In-N-Outs because I'm a plumber and I drive everywhere had even better service in Las Vegas which is a madhouse. Firstly must give 5 star to really nice and friendly guy who took order on evening of 2/19/2026. Give this guy a raise. He alone is why I may come back. That said, the girl taking payment and girl handing out food acted like they just had a colonoscopy. Got a late night animal fries and I realize it was close to closing but the cheese was barely melted on the sides. I literally pulled the two slices of cheese apart that were laying on top of the fries. You're better than this In and Out! read more

11/14/2025 This In-n-Out has been open for 2 weeks. After waiting an one hour in the drive-through line i ordered two (2) double-double hamburgers with grilled unions for both. I also ordered two (2) french-fries both well-done. This TAKE OUT order was verbally repeated three (3) times at the order microphone and once (1) at the cashier window. When we got home and opened the Take OUT Bag, I received NO Grilled Unions and NO Well-done fries. VERY DISAPPOINTING read more
