The Oreos were well incorporated and it wasn't too chunky. During covid19 you order at a makeshift window where the front door is but there are tables and chairs on their back patio. I had a standard burger, fries, and oreo milkshake. They've altered their store so that you order from the front door and they deliver it to the back door near their garden seating. It would have been nice if there were water out by the garden because it was very sunny and hot when I visited. The shake came out first. Surprisingly, the flavor of the ice cream was good, but I would have liked more/bigger pieces of Oreo. It was almost like it has been pureed. The burger was unremarkable. Loved this place! Delicious food at great prices in an adorable setting. There's a perfect balance of old-time diner with modern decor (see attached pic #1). The "eat" sign is a great spot for pictures. You order at the counter first before you sit down. I got the seasonal dirt pie milkshake which was so yummy and creamy. It was definitely more filling than I expected, and I got the smaller size. For my meal, I got the Mushroom Swiss burger with fries. It was flavorful and savory. I loved every bite. I ordered the smaller size in the fries as well and the portions were huge! Very reasonable prices especially given how much food you get. Its very popular around the area, but its nothing to rave about. The food is mediocre, it tastes okay but u can get it better for cheaper somewhere else. The soda also tasted mildew-y, as if something like mold is somewhere in the machine so it left an awful aftertaste. It's overrated but it's nothing awful. read more

Contrary to what some others have reported, I experienced wonderful and friendly service here! I was originally served the wrong burger and they were super apologetic and quick to correct the mistake. -1 star because they no longer serve boozy milkshakes, which was the primary reason for our visit. This has been a great spot to grab some food, but things have gone downhill here. No ice available and the soda machine was out (saw a previous review that mentioned both of those items from a month ago), so the only drink choices were water or a bottle of Mexican coke. Well we just got done with parenting class and I have been dying to come back here ! Who doesn't love a 50-60s diner?! With bomb food, milkshakes, music and great vibes. W whist got back from japan and were so happy to be back and eating here. Got a large fries with truffle aioli, got my mushroom burger and my husband got the Stadium Burger which I highly recommend it looked delish ! Mine was also tastey as always. My wife ordered a burger with extra cheese, paid the extra charge and only got a slice of cheese! Brought it up to the waitress who said oh I didn't charge you for extra. I would not recommend this restaurant. My girlfriend and I went in tonight to try it it, but we're very disappointed. There were about 8 other guests in the restaurant waiting on food, so it wasn't very busy at all. They also had three staff in the kitchen and two at the milk shake bar. We got our milkshakes within 5 minutes but had to wait another 40 minutes to get our two burgers and one large fry. The large fry was very small, with an insane price of $5. To top it off, my girlfriends burger came out wrong and was very sloppily made. I paid $45 plus a $6 tip for two burgers, one fry, and two shakes that took 40 minutes and had to buss my own table. I Love the interior of this place! The owners did a great job warping the customers into a time of Happy Days & Greece. Even though I didn't grow up in the era of drive-in's and roller-skate servers I can say nostalgia is priceless. The milkshake bar makes my inner and outer fat kid happy! This is situated in the middle of the restaurant serving as one of the main focal points. They use an old fashioned milk shake maker which delivers the best consistency. Plus who doesn't like getting the tin with the extra milkshake? My strawberry shake was chunky and hit the spot. The burger was a tad bit of a disappointment. Having worked as a hamburger flipper in my younger years I know what happens when you let a patty with cheese sit on a grill for too long....the cheese melts but the bottom of the burger and cheese that hits the grill becomes extra crisp...or a little too well done. Burgers should always be juicy and this one wasn't. The menu is simple which should work towards the restaurant's advantage in maintaing a quality product. I'll come back to see if the I came on a off day or if the burgers improve. For now I'd say Frisko Freeze or Quick Pick Drive-In has a better burger of this genre. Overall this place is fun and there is nothing like it in Tacoma (All the other nostalgic burger joints are drive-in only) and will definitely become my regular shake joint :-). read more

The girl working at the register recommended me what was called the Tacoma Dog, and MAN IT WAS good. Who knew pepperoncinis, relish, onions, and mustard would be so good together?? (I normally don't like these things by themselves.) Give it a chance, you guys. It's in a lovely part of town and the old diner vibe is fun. Time has proven me wrong however, and now I feel like an old fool for not giving something new a chance. They have the most authentic old-school burgers in Tacoma, even better than Frisko Freeze - and their service puts FF to shame. If you're a fan of onion rings, like I am, this is the place for you. They make them by hand, the real way. Keep in mind that when it gets really busy, hand dipped onion rings are a pain in the ass to make. I like to go at about 4 o'clock in the afternoon for an early dinner, that's when I know everything will be carefullly produced. The burger is the burger you want. The crust on the edges of the meat is perfect. Shreds of iceberg lettuce crunch between your teeth as the fat and secret sauce comingle with the soft bun. It is a real bun, not one of those fancy artisan mouth shredders that you need a steak knife to get through. They even have beer! And outdoor seating! And cool murals and lights!!! This was my first time and 3 kids in tow. The shakes selection is awesome but we are traditionalist except for one Oreo it was choc and strawberry . Kids menu items are reasonable price and still very tasty . I had the hickory burger it was seasoned awesome . Tried the umami dipping sauce with fries .
