First time at the Shake Shack and I left impressed, full, and wanting more. Walked in not knowing what to expect to a sparkling clean dining area with an easy to navigate ordering process. The lighting was bright (no shadowy areas to hide the typical fast food grunge) and the table layout was perfectly placed for a semi-private conversation in a very public place. We skipped the kiosks and made our way to the counter where we were greeted by a friendly young fella named Shak. More on him later. It didn't take long to browse a fairly simple menu of burgers, chicken, and fries before I decided on the Black Truffle burger. The picture alone made me salivate and within minutes of ordering, so did the sight of the actual burger. One perfectly crisp, juicy patty (the juxtaposition is astounding), melty, ooey-gooey Gruyère cheese, and crispity crunchety fried onions, and a creamy black truffle sauce all slammed together between a toasted potato bun. My first thought was "WOW"! And after my first bite? "Holy $*** that's a good burger!" I practically gulped it down before it hit the table. Flavorful to an unfathomable degree and as aromatic as it was delicious, this was hands down the best burger I've had since moving to Massachusetts. The fries were fried to perfection too; a nice golden yellow with tan highlights that crunched with every bite into a pillowy, white center bursting with potato goodness. I was impressed, and I genuinely mean that. My only complaints fall on myself. I should've ordered two. I should've ordered a double. I should've ordered a bag of burgers to bring home. Absolutely phenomenal. Also, I'd like to bring positive recognition to Shake Shack's Shak. I kid you not, that's his name; Shak. This was my 1st time visiting a Shake Shack and it was in the Woburn location. I was greeted by Anders at the register counter. He was so kind and helpful. While there observed he serves and cleans tables in addition to taking customers orders. I did not interact with other staff working but everyone was busy doing their jobs. Shackburger and Smoke Shack were excellent. Fresh ingredients, quality burger and soft bun. Chocolate shake is very good. Fries were awful. How does a burger place not know how to cook fries? First, $3.89 for this sad little food tray's worth. And it is not like quality over quantity. They tasted like they just came out of the freezer, not fried nearly enough, overall disappointing. The other annoyance is this place is self serve. You can go to the counter to order, or use a kiosk, however, before you pay there is a mandatory screen for tip. You can leave 0, but seriously, it's $30 for 2 burgers, crappy fries and a shake, which I then pick up at the counter when it's ready, so no table service whatsoever. read more

I ordered the non-dairy chocolate shake and 'shroom burger from Doordash. Pickup was a breeze with a nice outdoor window reserved for pickup orders. The shake was very good and not too sweet. As someone who is lactose intolerant, I'm really glad they offer non-dairy options. The shroom burger was tasty but hilariously small! It should be advertised it as a slider not a burger. They forgot to add in the side of shake sauce so overall pretty good but probably will only return again for the nondairy shake. read more

OMG! This Shake Shack right here, Woburn #1310 is EXCELLENT! I had made a change on my cheese selection and it was met with no extra charge for a substitution, which, other places charge an arm and a leg to get it your way. Jaime and Daniel kept checking in with me to see how things were going. They were super friendly. The buger was good and yummy. So Kudos to the cooks also. I'll give them 3 stars . Food was tasty , service , didn't notice . But we ordered on the laptop at the back, where you can select and prevent the hassle of saying what you prepare or preferences. Place is nice and new ? But there are ready wipes ,I guess for the customers to clean up the table . Came for late lunch. Ordered on the app. It was quick and straight forward. Got the Black truffle Burger with double patties. This is Gruyere cheeseburger topped with black truffle sauce (supposedly made with Regalis organic black truffle oil) and crispy shallots on a toasted potato bun. The burger came out to around $12 by itself. Burger tasted great BUT it did NOT come the way it looks in the ads. The ads show this huge burger that is generously applied with truffle sauce and crispy shallots. What I got was probably a third of what you see in the ads. The burger was already expensive by itself and the skimping of the shallots and sauce just makes it worst. You'd expect this kind of skimping from McDonalds. The burger tastes great but not worth the skimping and high cost. Inflation is real. Tough times. The Shack Stack is Cheeseburger topped with a 'Shroom Burger with lettuce, tomato, "ShackSauce". This one looks like you get close to what you see in the ads but it is still around $11 for a cheeseburger with a crispy mushroom in the middle. It tastes as you expect it to taste with the ingredients. The crisp of the mushroom is a decent crunch. But overall, for the price, you'd think they would throw in the crinkle cut fries with these burgers. Especially when their fries is basic crinkle cuts you can find in any grocery story frozen aisle. Seriously...why does that crinkle cut fries cost more than McDonalds? It is served like cafeteria fries in elementary school. But I digress. Couldn't leave without a shake because that is the whole point of Shake Shack. It is in the restaurant's name. The Chocolate Milk & Cookies is chocolate cookies hand-spun with malted chocolate frozen custard, topped with whipped cream and chocolate cookie crumble. It tastes good and not crazy sweet but the cookie crumbs were too big and they serve it with small straws so the crumbs end up getting stuck in the straws. Ruined the experience and shows that they didn't have attention to details in their foods. They should have given a spoon in addition to a straw. Overall, everything tasted great but they really inflate the prices for what you actually get. I still think Boston Burger Company still has the best burgers in Massachusetts. Sadly I do not live anywhere near a Shake Shack so I have to travel a bit to get to one. I've been to the one in Burlington MA and one or two in Boston, so I thought I'd give the one in Woburn MA a try. It's located in a very busy shopping plaza easily accessible from 93 or 95 and there's plenty of parking. My usual order is the double Shack Burger with cheese fries and whatever the seasonal lemonade or tea is. It was delicious as always! I enjoyed the Woburn location very much and it was fantastic. The lettuce was pretty limp but I think that has always been the case with every Shack Burger I've ever had in any of the Massachusetts locations. Everything else, though--great! My kids got (and loved) a couple of the holiday shakes that looked beautiful. read more

Stopped by this Shake Shack on the way out of Boston, and had a really weird experience here. The food was actually pretty good - when I finally got it. Despite having a full staff in the kitchen (you can easily see everything immediately behind the register) if about 10 people and no other customers at the location, they were all ignoring me and took several minutes for someone to come and take my order. Then when I finally put in my order, 3 people literally were at the register trying to figure out how to get the card reader to work and couldn't. Eventually they switched to a different card payment machine and I got to put my order in, but it took what seemed like a crazy amount of time to put in a simple order when I was the only one there. My burger ended up tasting good, but it was a pretty bad customer experience there. read more

Only thing I'll say is, when you order a "vanilla & chocolate" milkshake, beware, you may get a "vanilla" and also a "chocolate" milkshake. The chicken nuggets are meh because the breading falls right off in your hand when you pick one up. Also they only have one dipping sauce and its gross. The hot dogs are split lengthwise and cooked face down on a flattop grill. They came out blackened burned on the flat sides and dry AF as a result of being split before cooking. The casing holds in the moisture. Thats the whole point of encased meat. Crinkle cut fries in general are my favorite but shakeshack's fries have a weird coating on them that I dont like. I just read that Shake Shack was newly opened and relatively close by so I took a drive over during lunch to see what the fuss was all about. It's great to have one so close by now! Ordering was a breeze - three people wanted to help me! The menu is nice with a good selection of burgers and chicken sandwiches. I thought they would have a bigger list of shakes but aside from the usual suspects they seemed to have two featured shakes so maybe that changes every month. They have a window outside for picking up and a board for which internet order is up next which I found helpful. I think we were supposed to wait inside but it was so nice we waited outside and we were given our order via the pickup window. One thing I will point out that's a negative is the excessive packaging. We had a huge bag for a shake, a 5 piece chicken bite item and a chicken avocado sandwich. No napkins included but dividers and just the roomiest bag. Just a small criticism there when we're all trying to have less waste. The food was good. The chicken bites were just okay and mostly dough. We joked they should be called chicken nibble dough bites. The chicken avocado with bacon sandwich was much better. Loved the pickles. The star of the show, as expected, was the strawberry rhubarb shake. Yummy and refreshing - perfect for a sunny April day. Prices were what you would expect - a bit more than you'd pay at a Wendy's but a bit higher quality to go food too. The wait wasn't long at all for the food and the area looks like it's being built up with all sorts of new stores where the old mall location used to be. We'll definitely be returning and trying next month's new shake! read more

I've wanted to try Shake Shack for a while and finally able to after this new location opened at what was once the Woburn Mall. I've been here twice since opening to try their burgers and chicken sandwiches. Online and in-store ordering are both very easy. Regardless of how you place your order, you'll receive your order from the window outside the store. They have a screen that lets patrons know when their order is ready and available to pick up at the window. Unfortunately it's not explained very well. Most people arriving try to order at the window and are told to go inside. The screen displaying orders ready for pickup is behind glass and is difficult to read because of glare. As for the food, everything I've had has been fresh and hot. The sandwiches were definitely on the small side and I didn't feel like I got my moneys worth. Everything is a-la-cart and a burger or chicken sandwich, fries and a drink will cost around $15 + any additions. Prices are on par with what you would pay at a nearby Five Guys and a good amount more than you'd pay at Chick Fil-A. The portions are significantly smaller than what you would receive at either restaurant. Service on both visits was very slow but it could be due to this location just opening. Both orders were ready about 15-20 minutes after their assigned pick up times. It took about 35-45 minutes from placing an order to receiving it. Faster when ordering in-store but by no means quick. read more

It's a Shake Shack. Things to generally know about Shake Shacks: They get larger than expected volume when they open in a new location, but don't really do much to stem the flow of orders. This inevitably outstrips their ability to process orders on time, but that's not on the people hustling to get your order done quickly. I've seen backlogs at other locations as long as 40 minutes, so this one did reasonably well at handling my order only 10 minutes late. (I ordered at 12:15 for a 12:30 pickup on a Friday, actually got food at 12:40) My order was also ready at the time I received the text for pickup, which is good. I've been at other locations that say orders are ready when they aren't and then make you wait for your name to be called on top. I liked that this location has an outside pickup window, since it makes picking up from a car easy, and is good from a public health perspective during a pandemic. Burger and fries were fresh, but the poor shake was a bit melted. My guess is that it was ready around the original promise time and it melted a little bit. Everything tasted good, and the fries managed to stay crisp despite a 15 minute drive home. The packaging was good. It was packed all in a bag that was sealed on the top, so that's a nice bonus if you're getting it delivered instead of picking up. All in all, could be better, but it's fine if you temper your expectations accordingly. read more

Mediocre burgers. Quick service, though. I've ordered for delivery and take-out; I've never eaten there. The burgers were just too bland, and the avocado wasn't well distributed in there. I wanted to like it more because of their fame, but it's not great. Maybe it will get better in the future if it survives. It started off being super packed.
