Avocado Bacon Chicken with added tomatoes, onions, and cheese. I love how thick the slices of tomato and onion were.

Had lunch today at Shake Shack Westgate. This was after fasting for 12 hours for lab tests, so I was pretty hungry. I got there at noon on a Sunday and it wasn't too crowded. Plenty of parking available close by in the large lot. I ordered at the kiosk and then grabbed a table outside so I could eat in the sun. After waiting 20 minutes for my food I was getting pretty hangry. Finally, a young man brought it out. He apologized for the long wait and went and got me napkins quickly since there were none on my tray. He was sweet. I had the Avocado Bacon Chicken sandwich with added onions, cheese, and tomatoes, plus a chocolate shake. The sandwich was really good once I removed the slice of American cheese that I wished I hadn't added. Something in the sandwich had a sweetness that I enjoyed. The crispy chicken had a wonderful flavor and was cooked just right. The chocolate shake was excellent as well. I was glad I could order it with no whip cream and liked that it tasted very chocolatey and not very milky. All in all it was a yummy lunch and I'm sure I will be back.

Great food, even better service! The young lady who helped us, was super sweet and attentive. We didn't catch her name, but I do remember she had a nose ring. She did everything to make sure we had enough sauces and even checked to see if we needed refills on our drinks. Great customer service means a lot to me! The negative, it's pretty pricey and individual priced for their food. I wish Shake Shack had combo meals, to help with the wallets of blue collar folks, like myself who are eating out on a budget.

Veggie burger was perfection! Soft bun, patty was a good texture, sauce, cheese and fried onions all meshed very well. Fries are good. Onion rings were a bit watery, ranch is not great. The wait for my order was 20 minutes, too long for my taste. I will return someday for that veggie burger but will order ahead.

A shake shack meal is great for "girl dinner" or maybe a snack for someone with a heartier appetite. For me, I love that the single burger isn't overwhelming, and the smashed patty style is my fav. That being said, I think for most it'd take 2-3 of those to fill up. The fries, on the other hand, are a VERY generous portion. I love these, but I wound up only finishing around half. This trip I also ordered the strawberry lemonade which was a major letdown. While it was tasty, I received mostly ice and therefore only had about 1.5 gulps before it was gone. Otherwise, the service was fast and efficient and the seating area super clean. I may go back but if I do I'll only order the burger.

Yummy burger, fries, rings and shake! The burger was very tasty! Reminded me of a hybrid between 5 guys/Smash. Crispness and buttery of a Smash but juicy and chewiness of a 5 guys. The veggies were crispy and fresh! The bacon was flavorful too! Very good burger! The fries were crinkle cut. Crispy outside fluffy inside. Very delicious! The rings were the standard breaded ones but still nice to have. The milk shake was yummy! Super thick had to wait a while before I could get any out of the straw, but tasty. The service was frenetic was efficient! The girl who was working was definitely earning her wages! She was able to keep the HANGRY crowd under control and still manage to smile. The ambiance is nice, chairs are wooden which is nice to look at but not so nice to sit on. But still a very nice comfortable place to be. I'll be back again, great place!

I had lunch here today with a good friend, after a few hours of shopping. We both got a hamburger and cheese fries and a drink. You place your order at one of the kiosks or at the front register. You take a number to place on your table and then your food is delivered to you. There are seating options outside and inside. Since it was raining we picked a table inside. Our food came out fast. The hamburgers and fries were delicious. The staff here are amazing. The young lady that brought our food, Aynaz, was so sweet. We chatted for a bit, because I wanted to know if they had the new onion rings. Apparently you have to order them exclusively on the App until September 12. After that they will be available to order in the restaurant. Andrew, the manager, stopped by our table to offer us refills on our drinks, which was so nice. This location is really nice and I will definitely be returning to try the onion rings.

My wilted lettuce :( still good though

Came in a little after 9pm, they close at 10. Went straight to the kiosk to order. Doesn't look like they have any combo meals, just order burgers and sides separately. Their burgers range from $8 (single patties) to $14 (double patties) varieties. They also have chicken burgers, but I didn't to try that. I really liked the French onion soup burger though, very well seasoned. Now, the fries - worth it. You could also get frozen crinkle fries from the store and bake it crispy though haha. But the fries were addicting. Onion rings weren't bad either. The burgers also tasted good, but they seem so small for the price T-T. I would have also preferred they used a crisper lettuce. The patty was a good size, well made, but at least get a bigger bun to trick me that the burger is bigger or something, haha. Inside was spacious, plenty of seating. You can walk up to multiple kiosks to order and then take a number. They deliver your order to you. Service was sweet, but the tables or the floor in there had a real musty old water smell. Like dirty water smell, yeesh. I'm not sure if I'd get it again, but it was nice to try.

Westward Shake Shack is really a nice and clean establishment. Open, airy considering you are met with ordering kiosk only. Order was easy as any kiosk is. On to the food: We ordered the fried chicken sandos and onion rings. Food was delivered to our table from wait staff and looked delicious. The buns are impressive as they are soft, chewy looking and have some heft. The buns did not disappoint. Super tasty and we loved the chew. The fried chicken was tasty although very salty. The crunch on the chicken went well with the bun. The herb mayo was not my favorite and there was just too much of it on my chicken. The pickles added just what the chicken needed, together it works! Just wish the chicken was less salty. The onions rings were good, but the way they are stacked in a box makes you feel like, 5 and no more than 5 onion rings. Hope the French fries aren't counted and stacked in a box. A little bit too regimented. I would come back for another visit just to see what this place has to offer with other items.

LOVE crinkly cut fries and these were great

It seems sacrilegious for a born and raised West Coast person to love Shake Shack over In N Out but I LOVE shake shack. We lived in San Jose about 8 years ago and came back for a party near Westgate Center, it was nostalgic to drive by some old areas we used to go to and while getting some snacks at the nearby Target we noticed this Shake Shack. There are ordering kiosks that let you order super quickly and then the order is brought to your table or your to-go bag given to you. There is a lot of seating inside and outside but we came around 12:45 and it was pretty crowded inside, we were barely able to get a table. I wanted my kids to try this place for the first time and they pointed out some of the things I like that make this my favorite fast food burger chain. -Very "beefy" taste. I had to look this up, I've noticed it before and interesting it's the first thing the kids called out. The patties taste like concentrated beef in a very good way. Shake Shack's beef blend is a closely guarded secret, but it's known to be a mix of 100% Angus beef from Pat LaFrieda. -Giant patty to bun ratio: They cook using a smashburger technique that gives each patty delicious crispy bits as well as lock in moisture. The best part is each patty overhangs the buns by a large amount and burger look so much more appealing like this. -Crinkle cut fries: we LOVE crinkle cut fries and our favorites are the del taco ones. These are at the same level with much much surface area to get crunchy bits compared ot normal fries.

My thoughts: This is a traditional burger restaurant that is been around the west gate area through out the up and down of the economy. And any restaurant can survive the harsh business world is A OK in my book. Plus they do serve good burger food and maintain a reasonable price. Here is my scoring card for this restaurant: 1) Location: ( 5 Point ) - Great location for customer to see and find. Great parking for street parking and back side with parking lot parking. 2) Decoration : (2 Point) - They still have the original decoration. Clean but not up to date. 3) Price: ( 4 point)- The price is competitive but still a little bit pricey compare to other same stars and type food they serve 4) Quality and Taste : ( 3 point)- The quality is ok, food taste is good and portions are below average . 5) Type of cuisine standard : ( 4 point) - The style of American food they serve is pretty close to the way it was prepare in U.S . Not bad! But some dishes did have slightly modify to cater the customer's need Overall it's not bad and I thinks it's great to give it a try and let me know what you think. Go foodies Total max is 25 Score 18 Stars = 72% round up to 3 stars

The Big Shack and lettuce wrapped Chicken Shack with Fries!
    Lloyd T.

Solid Shake Shack experience! Tried the Big Shack, which seems like the Shake Shack's version of the Big Mac. It was yummy but the bun was too small for the patties and fixings. My wife had the Chicken Shack in a lettuce wrap, and we both had fries. Great location here by the Westgate Mall. Another plus for this spot is ample outdoor seating for those of us with pups!

I love shake shack! Expensive and portions are kinda small but tastes really good. Service was great too.

Very new, clean and spacious location! Easy to park since it's located at Westgate Plaza. It's open late, so it's perfect when you suddenly crave a burger in the middle of the night. I had the Black Truffle Burger and the Sunset Lemonade. The lemonade was so refreshing, and I liked the rich truffle sauce that paired perfectly with the crispy onions and Angus beef patty. Service was quick and efficient. I'm pretty sure I'll be back soon!

Then about a week ago I got the crispy Thai brussels sprouts, and they were DELICIOUS! Today I got chicken tenders and the elote side dish. The chicken tenders were good and reminded me of fast food I used to get as a kid. I kinda regretted the meal afterwards because it was a lot of sodium and fried food not the healthiest choice. I am watching my weight and fried chicken probably is not the best choice for that. Starbird gave me a free $10 reward after my first purchase. I would probably go back and get either a salad or the brussels sprouts again. They do have the option of grilled chicken on a salad, so that's probably what I would get. I don't want to regain the 90 pounds I lost. Overall, Starbird is a good fried chicken restaurant with some healthy options like salads. Ambiance inside the restaurant is rushed, it's a popular restaurant and most often busy and crowded inside. You can order at a kiosk and that speeds things along. The food is usually ready quickly and you pick up at the shelves, they have a sign telling you once your order is ready.

This one will get one more chance.

My husband and I decided to walk here 7pm on a Friday and I am so glad we did!…read more The service was wonderful and the food was 10/10. You can definitely split plates here as the portions are big. We ordered the falafels, baba ganoush, chicken souvlaki plate and the gyro plate. We will be adding this one to our rotation!

1st time here. A friend invited me to join her, and said it was where many of her co-workers ate…read more The short version is: my meal was very sub-par, and way over-priced. The details: I normally don't eat a lot of meat, so I chose the Falafel Salad. It came with extremely little lettuce, plus a few olives (which I don't eat), onions (which I also eat sparingly), tomatoes, cucumbers, and the falafel balls. Oh! And there was feta cheese, but those were such miniscule pieces, and so few, that I wouldn't have remembered it was supposed to be part of the salad, if I didn't just pull up a photo online with their ordering system. What you see in the photo online is not what you get. The photo actually looks like a salad. Since it was called a salad, I expected there to be more lettuce, than the few pieces on the plate. I mainly was cutting up the cucumber & tomato pieces to go with the falafels. I don't even recall any dressing. There were also some pita slices with what I assumed was hummus. Whatever the dip was, it did not taste good to me at all. So I left all of the pita bread, as well, since it was dry without anything on it. Maybe what I assumed was hummus was a dressing. Hard to know, but it was not tasty. For the $27 I paid at a walk up counter, I would have expected much better food! I have bought frozen falafels at Lunardis (around $7) and made a salad for them at home, and enjoyed it very much, which is why I ordered it. I have purchased Spanakopita at the store many times, (about $5 for around 12 of them at the store) and made them at home, which is why I didn't order that. The falafel salad was not an enjoyable meal for me at Yiassoo's. I'd also seen some reviews from a few years back that said they paid around $10 or $11 for their meal. That is more in-line price-wise with what you get, based upon my meal. With most of the meals around $20 for lunch, I feel they were very over-priced. I also asked my friend if she'd like to split a Baklava. They had a pistachio one & chocolate one. My friend wanted to try the chocolate one, so I bought that. I didn't think I was too into baklava, but thought it might be nice to try at this highly rated Greek restaurant. The main flavor that came through was the honey & nuts. The chocolate was just a tiny, narrow drizzle on top. I didn't hate it, but I would never order it again. My friend took one bite, and said she mainly tasted the honey, and would take it home for her husband. It may be very good baklava, but it was not to our tastes. My friend ordered the Gyro salad. It had a large pile of shaved meat, and she seemed to enjoy it. She ordered it To-Go, as she knew she'd be taking some of it home. She seemed to have more lettuce under her pile of meat than my meal got. Maybe because it was in a To-Go box, which might be larger than the plate? Or maybe the person making my salad just wasn't paying attention to how to make a decent meal. I was hoping I was trying a restaurant that I could go back to for something different. Based upon my experience, I would not go back, if I had a choice. I gave it 3 stars, because maybe other dishes, or people looking to just eat meat or falafel balls and not much else would enjoy it. I only have the 1 meal to review, but it does not encourage me to try it again. Overpriced & not a fulfilling meal.
