Their crinkle fries are also tasty especially with their house seasoning. The service is solid and the place has its own personality. It gets busy over lunch, and the place is a bit small, so I've only ever taken the food to go but have never had any issues. It's a solid, home run operation that gives you the confidence they know what they're doing when it comes to their menu. You'll see folks perched up outside at their picnic tables. It's a simple but quality place. Their milkshakes also hit if you're in the mood for one.

I am so glad I came here again. I visited a Sunday evening. It was a bit crowded, but a sign said I…read morecould sit myself anywhere. So I sat in the bar. A bartender greeted me and gave me water. For my drink, I took the chocolate old fashioned (13 dollars). It was strong enough and chocolatly to enjoy. For my main plate, I chose the chicken wings (10 for 17 dollars), half fat rabbit sauce (quite garlicky) and other half siracha. While the wings were not breaded, they were still fried. It was definitely crispy, but still meaty and tender. The sauces were flavorful, and the siracha had the right amount of heat. The ranch dressing was homemade and so good, I ended up drinking it. There could have been more celery, but it was fresh and crispy. They only had one dessert, and unfortunately it wasn't homemade, so I passed. My bartender was friendly, but busy. She had a helper, but lots of patrons to serve. Yet, she was still very nice and helpful when needed. The vibe is social and casual. I would have thought they would have more USF students, but mostly locals who are enjoying a good atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available as well, and it looks like you can bring your pooch too. When it was time to check out and pay, I noticed they forgot to charge me for my drink. When I mentioned that, they told me not to worry about it. It was a very nice gesture from them. Parking here is easy as it is located in the Publix complex. There is also a Don Julio's and Bundt Cakes nearby for dessert too. The Fat Rabbit pub provides great casual bar food in a social atmosphere. The indoor dining is large enough to feel comfortable, and outdoor seating is also there if you want to enjoy with your dog. I am glad I chose this place again as it was near my hotel. Definitely coming back for more great bar food at reasonable prices. Overall: A

The sweet potatoes fries were inconsistent as some were good and some were overcooked. I tried the philly empanada and the cheesecake empanada and I didn't like either. The oil taste overpowers whatever cheesecake flavor there could be. I also didn't taste enough of the other ingredients besides the beef for the philly.
