This was our first experience with Shake Shack and it was so good. The workers were super friendly. Our food was piping hot and fresh. The fries were salty and crispy and the cheese was really good. The burger was juicy and packed with flavor. A super solid burger. Next time I'll get a double. I just wish they had some seating available because it can get messy. read more

Overall the system was set up to order the food though a kiosk which would ensure accuracy. My experience was that I ordered it and waited and waited and waited. Finally my name pops up on the screen which makes it more user and deaf friendly. When I approached counter because my name appeared and then disappeared. No food was ready.. I inquired it with a manager(?) I showed him my name the food wasn't even ready yet even after 20 mins of waiting. Finally they expedited it. They gave me this breakfast sandwich that was supposed to have avocado in it what costs me 13 dollars was missing. I observed the entire team heckling and joking around and talking about other things as opposed to getting the job done correctly. I will never go to another shake shack at the airport again. They aren't worth my time and the business is not worth my money... Just think how Danny Meyer would have felt if he found out that one of his stores went to shit. Not even in the same ball park as far as standards go. Wished I could give this a negative 5. read more

Not bad. Prices are more justifiable than getting a turkey sandwich at the airport. $12.41 w tax for a single bacon avocado burger. Not bad. Bacon needs to be cook longer to make it crispy. Store front is organized and staffs are nice read more

Burger was cold and messy. Bottled water tasted like tap. Paid $20 and it was a waste of money

Shake Shack is located in Delta's Terminal A. You can place your order at two available kiosks or with an employee. I placed my order for a double cheeseburger at the kiosk. It took a while to get the food probably like 15 minutes. The burger was delicious though and worth the wait. There's no seating available so I went to the food court or you could also try eating at your gate. Condiments are behind the counter and an employee can get it for you. I'll definitely come back in the future if I'm in the area. read more

I got a veggie burger and fries for less than $12. It absolutely hit the spot! It took a few extra minutes to get my food, and they gave me the wrong order when I did get my food, but after they chased me down and I was able to return another gentleman's food to him, I was able to enjoy a scrumptious burger and fries! read more

Fries are dry as hell and skimpy as F for $6 per serving. Burgers not stacked well, always ends up with soggy buns after a few bites. For $20+ meal in an airport setting, yes, your expectation should be deep low but for a franchise banking for their so-called premium fast food experience they need to do better. read more

March 4 2026 Burgers were placed in a sleeve and thrown into the bag on top of the cold fries because they Set about 25 at a time with no heat lamp. Just purchased a meal and almost finished the burger only to discover the bun had mold in it. Walked back to the counter where they issued a refund. No apology, they weren't surprised were not concerned. Avoid this establishment. read more

3.5 rounded to 4. The wait took forever and a day. Prices are ridiculously high, but that's expected for the airport. For two people ordering burgers and fries + 1 beverage, it was $49. I will say though, that the quality of food was up there and the meal was fresh. I'm sure this was one of the better options in this terminal. read more

I've ordered 3 different shakes 3 separate times. They are never mixed all the way! The black and white had a swirl of chocolate in the vanilla. I had to mix it myself with the straw two separate times! The strawberry was the same, a swirl of strawberry sauce in the vanilla! read more

I give this Shake Shack 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. It *is* nice there is an airport location. We had an early afternoon flight out of Concourse A at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, so I decided to show up early to grab lunch for us at this Shake Shack located near Gate A28. I've been to several Shake Shack locations over the years and I'm a fan of this chain. While I don't think the food at this Shake Shack is as good as the non-airport locations I've been to, it's close enough and worth a visit if you're in the mood for a yummy burger. Unsurprisingly, the menu here is more limited than a non-airport location. For example, there are less burgers, chicken sandwiches, and fries to choose from. Specifically, during my visit, this location did not have items like the Hot Ones Burger, Grilled Cheese (sandwich), Avocado Bacon Chicken (sandwich), and Bacon Cheese Fries on the menu. There's still enough to choose from, though. My wife got a ShackBurger ($7.35), I got a ShackStack ($13.10), and we split an order of fries ($3.75). We also got two cups of water (free). After tax, this worked out to $26.14. The ShackBurger is an Angus beef cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and ShackSauce on a toasted potato bun. The Shack Stack is like a combination of the ShackBurger and 'Shroom Burger. In other words, it's a ShackBurger where the beef patty and cheese is topped with a deep-fried portobello mushroom filled with melted Muenster and cheddar cheeses inside. The burgers were well-made, hot, fresh, rich, and tasty. Good-quality ingredients all around. The beef patties were thick and juicy. The melted cheeses made the burgers quite heavy and filling, especially the Shack Stack. The fries were standard, satisfactory crinkle-cut fries. This Shake Shack doesn't have any dedicated seating. It's just a counter. I took our order to the food court common area tables in the center of the concourse and we sat and ate there. The staff boxed, bagged, and packed everything up nicely so there was no mess. Our clear cups of water, with snap-shut lids and straws, were placed in an unfoldable cup holder with a handle. We also got plenty of packets of Heinz ketchup and mustard. In general, I thought the service was good. The two employees I interacted with were polite and efficient. The server name printed on my receipt was Taitu N. The burgers were made-to-order. At the register, the cashier warned me ahead of time and said there would be an approximate 10-minute wait (if I recall correctly). The line/wait wasn't bad for me. I'm pretty sure I received my order in less than 10 minutes. This Shake Shack opened on September 25, 2018. It was the third Shake Shack to open in metro Atlanta. The first location opened in Buckhead on September 30, 2014: https://www.yelp.com/biz/shake-shack-atlanta. There are now eight Shake Shack locations in metro Atlanta at the time of writing this review in 2023. This is the only Shake Shack location inside the Atlanta airport. read more

Return again? YES Recommend it? No reason not too, especially when trapped in an airport! Taste: 5/5 for airport food Quality: 5/5 great Angus beef patty Service: 3/5 ok, just average staff and ran out of bacon for the Double cherry pepper burger, WTH?! Value: 5/5 $10-12 for a double patty burger at an airport is a steal X-factor: 2/5 NOT advertised or made known to most travelers. We just stumbled upon it by walking around different parts of the Terminal A. Excellent burger by airport standards for sure. AND, beats an In-N-Out burger by fast food standards in the real world too. I am from Cali and I still prefer the Shake Shack spicy cherry pepper burger (with ir without bacon) over a Double Double any time! No food pics this time. Airport chaos and hunger made us devour that delicious burger within minutes! read more

I got a double burger with fries, and ordering was easy since there wasn't much of a line. The burger was very good, and the fries were crunchy and hot! It's at gate A28, and I had some time before my flight and figured why not, haven't had shake shack in a very long time. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 star is it was a lengthy wait to getting the food, and there weren't many people waiting. All in all it was a good experience today. read more

Open but they claim they ran out of food. Meanwhile trays of fry's sitting there and they won't sell them to anyone.. what's wrong with this place? They have food but say they have none and won't sell it. Dumb read more

Fantastic burger. Very flavorful. You can tell the meat is fresh. Everything is put well together and the staff is friendly.

It's what I want for lunch, but can I get it in my hands before the plane takes off? My plane arrived and I had 15 minutes before my transfer flight was boarding in the next terminal over I had been up since 6 a.m. and hadn't eaten all day and it was already 3:30 p.m. so I risked it and ordered Shake Shack. There was a line of people waiting to receive their food and it took about 10 minutes for my order to come out. Then I ran to the underground tram, then I ran to my gate and made it there about 5 minutes after boarding had already started. Yes, made it! Shack Stack (Cheeseburger topped with a 'Shroom Burger with lettuce, tomato, ShackSauce) + Bacon - Yup, I went for the ultimate here, because I had never tried there burger + portabello mushroom patty. The burger is thick as thick (you like that?) and was prepared correctly without any missing items. The Shack Stack is good, but I can't say that I love it better ShackBurger or SmokeShack. The breaded and deep fried portabello patty didn't have any special flavor and turned out kind of gooey inside, which must be from the cheese they stuff inside. The bacon is thin cut but crisp. Would I recommend it? Yes. Would I recommend it over the other burgers they offer? No. Just pick the burger that sounds best to you. Crinkle Cut Fries - Shake Shack's Crinkle Cut Fries are different from other places because their ridges are cut thinner and sharper than the average one you see at other places. I love them. I didn't get to check my order until I was seated on the plane, but they did good because everything I ordered was there. Nothing was missing and it tasted great. I do think the airport location could use a couple of more staff. It would speed things up a bit and the help out the existing staff which looked overworked. If you're craving a burger while you're rushing around or waiting at the airport, don't be afraid to hit them up! read more

Not. Crowded but long wait times only to receive two undercooked (nearly raw) burgers. So disappointing. This is dangerous to people health as we shouldn't be bringing or severing undercooked burgers period! Totally disappointment and a waste of my time and money!! read more

Tried to order at 8:40pm on a Sunday evening. They close at 9:00pm. I was told they've already started cleaning the grill and fryers to no burgers or chicken sandwiches were available. I ordered fries and a shake and was told they've already started cleaning the shake machine, so I ended up ordering a burger and a bottle of water. I waited eight minutes and went to the pick up counter, and politely stated that my flight was about to depart and asked if I could pick up my fries and bottle of water - there were fries sitting under the warmer visible to all of the customers. The server stated loudly " Please go to the back of the line, I will get your order when I'm ready." I left without getting any food because of my eminent flight departure. read more

Quite good. Very fresh, hot burger wait was not bad especially for a burger that was cooked just for me.

The food was pretty good. It is busy, it is the airport. The kiosk tries to get you to add stuff so then everyone takes forever to order and the orders get messed up, But..... This is the nicest restaurant crew I have ever met in the Airport here in Atlanta. read more

They let my moms burger and fries sit for over ten minutes and before they bagged it I requested fresh food since we had been waiting well over fifteen minutes and since we were already waiting we wanted fresh food. The manager angrily says we'll the grease has been cleaned so you're not getting fries and was very rude as she communicated that the cook would drop another burger but you could tell none of them wanted to do it. So they gave it to us like this. The fries were ice cold and hard. My dog would break his teeth trying to snack on that. Ew. Then everyone was back there cursing and complaining. I didn't ask you to come to work. I didn't ask you to be rude. Be more professional and be more kind. Just because you're having a bad day, doesn't give you the right to go messing up someone else's. read more

Laid over at ALT airport. Needed a little snack for the long flight. We have always wanted to try this place. We decided on the smoke shack because of the cherry peppers. Burger was cooked well. Peppers were fresh. Fries were cooked all the way through for thick fries this could be an issue sometimes, but not here. With the name of Shake Shack, you have to get a shake. It was so yummy. read more

I wasn't expecting to be so impressed with a Shake Shack in an airport, but it turned out to be delicious, piping hot, and efficient! They also packaged the meal really nicely so it was convenient to eat at the gate. I got the Shroom burger and an order of crinkle cut fries. Everything came out fresh and hot in a matter of minutes! The employees had the absolute worst attitude I have ever seen in customer service. Ok, it might sound sill that a fast food franchise changed my life...BUT IT DID :) I'm a midwestern gal who has never had Shake Shack. Clearly, time in ATL airport requires food, and a burger sounded good. The Yelp reviews said to go for the portabello burger, so I decided to give it a chance. It said it had a mix of delicious (but I forget what) cheeses, but I did not realize that THE CHEESE WAS INSIDE THE FRIED PORTABELLO. Omg, I bit into it, and gooey amazing cheese spilled out like a glorious lactose-a-riffic waterfall. I was not expecting that. Also, it kinda burned my tongue, but was so delicious I didn't care. The chocolate shake, of course, was also amazing. Apparently Shake Shake is coming to the Indianapolis Airport and I REALLY will need to go on more flights in order to get my fix. read more
