The food is surprisingly good. I've had a couple of croissant sandwiches. The breakfast one seems lack luster as they pull it premade from the refrigerator. But once it is toasted it is not bad at all! The chocolate croissant is really good and worth the detour to terminal A. The service has been average. The Emilie's seem unexcited to be there. Horrible customer service at 430 pm today. Asked the counter person -did she have fresh drip coffee? Asked was it made in the last hour at least. Lack of service today, we were flying to NC today and stopped by this establishment and asked for DECAF coffee and there response was we do not have any. So from that answer I assumed they do not have it at anytime during the day. Very very poor customer service to say the least. If your selling coffee you need to cover the spectrum of regular and decaf. We will never try this again it was at 0900 in the morning so not late at night when that could be a possible answer. Chocolate Croissant My wife and I have a quarter century tradition of celebrating January in Palm Beach the Golden State, or Hawaii, and this tradition is with Delta. Today we are flying Delta to connect in Hartsfield to our Marriott Ocean Pointe Vacation Villa on the Atlantic Ocean. Today, we are dining at P.F. Chang's at Hartsfield. As we proceed to the second level restaurant, my wife takes notice of Brioche Doree. Frequent Flyers know exactly where Brioche Doree is located, and my wife has visited Brioche Doree many times. She did not recall that Brioche Doree is one level below P.F. Chang's. At any rate, we take time to view the bookstore prior to my wife's selection of a Chocolate Croissant. My wife insists that the Chocolate Croissant is excellent, and I have not known her to not like anything chocolate. Counter service in a combo bookstore bakery. We recommend. read more

Service was quick. I had low expectations, since it's airport food. I got the turkey provolone sandwich, toasted. It came out not super hot, so I was a little sad about that, but got over it pretty quickly bc the sandwich itself was surprisingly tasty! Tomatoes were sweet and there was some kind of yummy spread (not sure what it was lol). Nice spot to relax a bit at the Atlanta terminal A. This is a shared coffee shop area with a Simply bookstore of which the cafeteria side is slightly hidden from the hectic stream of travellers. It's actually an excellent corner to rest, without noise (except the one from the kitchen equipment). Limited number of small tables is just good enough to accomodate here. Fresh, brewed coffee menu is simple: either light or dark roast - the dark one I took today is quite tasty. Also decent looking basic sandwiches and croissants. read more

Great food. Better than average overpriced airport food. the problem was the service sooo horrible. I wanted to write a review for the owner to read. The girl working tonight was in a rush to be anywhere other than where she was. I got a tomato pesto mozzarella sandwich. I had it heated up, because she was in such a rush it was partially heated. I'm sure she knows the correct amount of time but chose to heat it 30 seconds less. The weirdest thing about my visit was; I watched her turn away at least 20 people at 7:15. It closes at 8:00pm. Seating is at a premium at the airport and the lines are long everywhere else. I suspect the lines would have been long here if she didn't turn everyone away. turning the people away made me uncomfortable, half heated sandwich, not sticking to hours the place is open. i can't imagine what else she does half/ way. read more

Man, I really need to do a better job of eating breakfast before I get on planes because otherwise I end up racing through airports and grabbing whatever's nearby. Today, at the top of the escalator near the "A" food court, it was Brioche Doree. Hoping for something already prepared, I was pleased to see a decent selection of pastries and sandwiches ready to go. The smoked salmon baguette caught my eye and so that was my takeaway to nibble as I waited for my plane to board. Salmon, cucumber, cream cheese, yum. Tasty and filling and probably a decent enough choice as far as airport eating goes. Looks like a decent enough place to hang out and eat if I ever have another layover in ATL. As you likely know, Atlanta is a very busy airport. There are often long lines for food and beverage, particularly for popular restaurants. Apparently, Brioche Doree is not terribly popular, yet there is a line to get food and drink. Though it was not a long line, it took far too long for service. Brioche Doree has both signs advertising espresso drinks and an espresso machine. After waiting in a line with only five people in front of me for well over ten minutes, I ordered an espresso beverage. While standing next to the espresso machine, the clerk/cashier told me, "We only have coffee." There was no sign indicating a change from the posted menu, or an apology for my waiting in line for an advertised beverage. As a frequent business traveler, I need to collect receipts for all travel expenses. The clerk was unable to provide a receipt, claiming her machine was broken, she did not have a paper roll for the machine, she did not know how to replace it, or she just did not care - she could not explain why...She just said, "Next in line." The clerk had difficulty providing anything but the barest of service; she moved at the speed of molasses. She had little or no empathy for exasperated travelers in a hurry to get some food before their next flight. If she is overworked, she needs help; if not she needs to be fired. An airport should have a restaurant chain's best employees. If this is the best they have, I highly recommend seeking a more popular restaurant which can service your needs in a timely manner - avoid Brioche Doree, at the airport or elsewhere! read more

With a layover in Atlanta at 5:30 AM, this was an oasis during my red eye from LA. You usually find the basic fast food places, but a French style bakery/coffee shop is a bonus in an airport. The croissants were light, buttery and flaky. I enjoyed an almond croissant which is what I crave. It was perfect and the cup of coffee was a perfect compliment. The coffee is good, dark roasted coffee. They not only served breakfast style sandwiches but they also started to stock the case with savory lunch items. I haven't met a pastry I didn't like, and I have a feeling that Brioche Doree and I would be very good friends for breakfast, lunch and more. read more

The one thing that always makes me steer clear of these breakfast sandwiches is the egg. And since this one was being warmed in a microwave, the inevitable happened when I got to the center: it was cold. Well, not cold. But not warm either. The cappuccino on the other hand was plenty hot and stayed warm until it was time to catch our plane. Would I stop here again? I don't know. Seeing that it's at the top of the escalator when you come up from the plane train, it's not hard to miss. But it's quite busy for that same reason. read more

Not impressed. Heated sandwich was stiff and friable, and the ham felt artificial. I had better sandwiches in regular Subway. Coffee was no better than from the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, which is located in the same Concourse A, but more expensive. Blubbery danish was kinda fine, but I'd prefer to have more berries in it. I can't say it is a no-go, but I'd try something else next time. read more

This is probably my favorite layover spot in the Atlanta airport if I need to get work done. It's in Concourse A attached to a bookstore. It's usually pretty quiet, but this last time the employees were blaring uncensored music and singing along loudly. I'm not a prude, but it was distracting, and I imagine it turned away more than one person (especially those with younger children). The employees were perfectly friendly, and I probably could have asked them to turn it down, but I don't feel like I should have to. I just wanted to get some work done and re-caffeinate without creating an awkward situation. Again, this was the first time I've had this experience here. Concourse A. It's always a challenge to find good food in the airport, but Brioche Doree is an exception. The sandwiches here are top notch with great ingredients and you can have them toasted. None of those triangle sandwiches sitting in ceran wrap for hours and hours like in many places in the airport. In Terminal A I normally head straight to Dunkin Donuts - you can see it right when you get off the escalators from the train, and you know exactly what you'll be getting. This morning, however, I was feeling adventurous. Why not try something new on a rainy Monday morning after half a night of sleep? The ham, egg, and cheese croissant from Brioche was delicious. If I am going to eat something with THAT many calories, it better taste like a piece of heaven....and this did not disappoint. Warm, flaky, soft, a great breakfast before a long flight. Much better than something depressing like a granola bar. I paired my eggy goodness with hot tea. They carry Harney and Sons tea here, which is a high quality brand. They were out of Earl Grey, but the Organic Breakfast was just fine. $6.83 for a decent breakfast at the airport. No complaints here! read more

They offer freshly baked pastries, such as croissants and of course the namesake, brioche. They also serve coffee and various beverages containing coffee, including mochas, cappuccinos and the like. I had a sandwich made with fresh mozzarella & tomato on a focaccia bread roll. It was very satisfying. My cafe mocha was good, though not outstanding. To be honest, I stopped here because a brioche sounded really good. They don't actually have them, however. The food was still tasty and quick, and the coffee is solid. If they have the Mushroom Brie soup, get it. It's like a cream of mushroom on steroids. In my experience, the staff was friendly and helpful--like gladly getting me water when I spilled said Mushroom Brie soup on my shirt. This is why we can't have nice things. read more
