The Woodshed ended up being an awesome space for it and we couldn't recommend it enough. First off, Anndrea was a pleasure to work with. She toured the venue with us, answering all of our questions the day of and afterwards. She was quick to respond and very friendly throughout the entire time. Shoutout to Tiffany as well, who was able to help us out on the day of the event, and helped to bar tend. The venue itself is also such a fun space, with fun accents, such as the live plant wall and the fun tap handles. We created a Spotify playlist that we were able to play using the venue speakers, and we even used the projector screen that they had to play our Nintendo Switch games during the welcome party. Street parking was plentiful and our guests ended up loving the venue as well. We would highly recommend the Woodshed for anyone looking for a fun space to host a gathering or party!

The beautiful wood wall creates an amazing accent for the room. There is also a living plant wall. Both of these provide beautiful backdrops for photo opportunities. The room is equipped with its own bar where they serve craft beer and wine. No hard liquor. The space is very inviting and warm. It has both indoor and outdoor space for seating and entertaining. Parking is available in their small parking lot and along the street. This is located in industrial park.

The property is absolutely stunning, with well maintained grounds, ample parking, a spacious, air conditioned bridal suite with mirrored walls, clothes racks, and an ironing board. The suite even has its own bathroom. The venue has a decent sized dance floor along with enough room inside to seat close to 200 guests. The bathrooms were clean and had multiple stalls to accommodate the ladies. There is also a huge kitchen with a walk in frig that is available for use as part of your rental. We had approximately 250+ guests attend our event and there was plenty of space in the back lawn area for over flow seating. We used the outdoor patio area to set up 4 buffet lines of food. 2 lines for our catered meal, 1 line for kids meal, and 1 line for our cultural foods. The patio area also had ample room for us to place our photo booth there. The back grass and patio area looks spectacular at night with the market lights to add to the festive ambiance. The grounds were large enough to house an adult sized jumper that helped to keep our younger guests entertained. The grass area still had plenty of available space for a corn hole spot, our marquee letter signs and our taco guy we hired to end our night's festivities. Shannon is the property manager, and she is a true gem. She worked tirelessly with us to help obtain all our vendor COIs and was extremely kind to allow us to come the day before our party to drop off our drinks and many party supplies. Anything we needed, Shannon was there to help resolve. She is friendly and professional, with a sense of humor to boot. We received sooo many compliments from our family and friends about how beautiful the venue was. Of course, anyone who dealt with Shannon adored her and her down to earth vibe! We loved that we could bring our own food to the venue without being tied to a set list of food vendors. The bar area was also spacious and the bartender kept the libations flowing all night long. The Optimist Club has 3 belly tables with linens that came with rental of the venue. These worked out fabulously for our guests wanting to hang out by the bar and smoking area. We highly recommend the Vista Optimist Club for your next large family gathering. Our sincere thanks to Shannon for helping to make our party a huge success!

We had a great experience at The Mining Company in San Marcos!…read more The ambiance was perfect, the food was amazing, and the cheeseburger was one of the best I've had. Everything came out quickly, hot, and exactly as ordered. What really made our visit special was our server, Kala. She greeted us with a big smile, got our drinks right away, took our order, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. Her happy disposition, smiling face, and attention to detail made us feel genuinely welcome. Great food is important, but great service can turn a good meal into a memorable experience--and Kala did exactly that. I definitely recommend The Mining Company. And if you have the opportunity, ask for Kala. She's the best in my book! We'll definitely be back.

Service was sometimes quick and sometimes slow. Our food came out very quickly, but our sever was very slow with taking the bill. Now for the part people are most interested in, the food. My wife and I split a couple dishes. She ordered the bbq chicken salad which had lots of chicken, but I felt the chicken was a little over cooked. The garlic toast with it was tasty. We also got the prime rib, that was good. The salt and pepper on the outside was seasoned well. We also got the tri tip appetizer which I think was delish. Overall I recommend giving this place a try.

The estate is a premier 30+ acre private garden and wedding destination in Fallbrook, featuring an iconic heart-shaped lake, cascading waterfalls, and two distinct venue options- the timeless Victorian-style Beverly Mansion and the tropical Arbor Terrace. Upon arrival, we were directed to the Beverly Mansion- a classic Victorian style edifice, this grand mansion boasts a stunning parlor entry, an oversized grand staircase, and Swarovski crystal chandeliers. Absolutely breathtaking! The ceremony was held at the Compass Garden Waterfall- a Mediterranean-inspired outdoor site featuring a vibrant waterfall backdrop for intimate ceremonies. The site was surrounded by towering palm trees and lush, island-like landscaping. I will say, I wish there was more lighting on the estate grounds. At times, specifically during the cocktail hour we were using our cell phones to illuminate the paths throughout the property. Other than that, the venue itself, including the spectacular views, ambiance and food curated by the chef was absolutely amazing!

We also went over to the Veranda to have brunch after our rehearsal & the food was so amazing. My favorite was the Eggs Benedict, they used a puff pastry as the base and it added a delicious and flaky texture.

My experience with Home Wedding Sites as a venue matching service has been pretty decent…read more Communications with the owner have been very pleasant, professional, courteous, and friendly even though there were a number of delays in response. But overall they have some pretty decent properties listed. My only criticisms is that I wish their profile information for the property was a bit more specific especially detail need to know set ups for events and whatnot. Basically profiles just have a limited number of pictures and general location and general cost, and maybe some house stats (qty rooms/bathrooms etc). It would be nice if more information was provided and more pictures, things like where are cars parked, and is this a day of place, does it have overnight accommodations, maybe even layouts of the event areas that are available for use, any rules for the property, whether the owners live on site or not....is there storage, where can the caterers cook? That sort of thing. At the least if the information was provided up front those planning would be able to ascertain whether a property is right for them before going through the arduous process with the owners to set up an appointment to tour the location. In the 3 months of communicating with the office we viewed about 20 ish of their listed properties, and decided we were interested in pursuing three of them after some Google satellite image searches and look at what information was provided. It took 3 months, and we were only able to get a tour with one property which ultimately ended up being a shared property with the owners and only a day of location. Which is ok for us in a pinch but for the area and cost would not have really that worth it....the other ended up cancelling their contracts with HWS or something to that effect. But meeting with the owner of HWS was blast, she's very sweet and helpful and it is a free service for the bridegroom. I'm still maintaining contact with HWS in hopes a new property that better suits us pops up that's better than our top pick right now which is just located in an inconvenient area to overnight accommodations but the property is amazing. But as far as Home Wedding Sites goes, it worth connecting with them. They have properties of all budgets, to each his own terms, some daily, some weekly, some even monthly, some overnight, some day of, etc etc...but all the properties are nicer than your average wedding venues, more homey, better than many of the vacation rentals I've seen, some more palatial, others more convenient. There was another similar business who lists wedding venue estates that had a couple of estates, one I think was called Bali estate, another Emma estate, but that company was a nightmare to communicate with, so I'm hoping those awesome properties begin to work with HWS because its a better service in my opinion,
