I highly highly recommend Roy and team for any of your bartending needs! He is a total professional, was incredibly helpful in planning and executing the bar at my wedding ( a very very important part!) and helped set an awesome vibe. He is a great and efficient bartender but also a really cool guy, I had so many guests tell me how much they liked him. An awesome bonus was him sharing photos of pretty much every guest at the bar - who needs a photobooth! He captured the day from a fun and different angle. He worked hard for us and made our event special, I'd hire him again in a heartbeat. read more

Roy was exceptional throughout the entire service experience, from booking to the day of the event. We had the absolute pleasure of having Roy and RG Bar Services as our bar services at our wedding at the Japanese Friendship Garden. Roy was helpful throughout the whole process! From designing our 'his' and 'her' drinks, providing us the quantities that we needed to purchase to ensure a stocked bar, all the way to our day-of services where he made sure my wife and I were taken care of. Our guests loved his attitude and drinks, and we were so lucky to have his care. Definitely book Roy for any event! read more

I hired RG Bar for my 40th birthday party and from the very beginning, Roy was always very communicative and responsive. I can't even begin to count how many vendors wanted to set me up on sales calls or upsell me. Roy responded to my quote and worked with me on everything. Every suggestion he made was just that, a suggestion. I never felt pressured and truly just took it as him looking out for my event. I had a 90s theme and he worked with me on curating my signature drinks and gave me plenty of options to choose from. And when it came time to obtain everything he gave me a very handy purchase list to go off of. Roy and Misty were great at the actual event, and Roy kept seeking me out during the party to make sure I had a drink in my hand or didn't need anything. Roy also took pictures throughout the night and sent them all to me the very next day. They were both great and such a great asset to have! They kept the drinks flowing all night. Will definitely hire again in the future!!! read more

Roy was helpful from the beginning to the end of the event! I booked him for my sisters bachelorette party; We did a mixology cock/mock tails at her house. I was worried at first that it would be weird to have a male bartender for a bach, but he proved me wrong. He made everything so chill, relaxed, and FUN! Exactly what we wanted and more. I requested him to get the non-alcoholic ingredients (at an additional charge), and he went above by making us homemade blackberry juice for the event. Just everything was wonderful about Roy and his service. He was communicative, made everything tailored, arrived on time, & very knowledgable! read more

We worked with RG bar Services for a graduation party for my husband. Hooper was assigned to us and did a phenomenal job! He was punctual, friendly, and personable - good vibes all the way around. He even took pictures when he had down time, and they were shared with us the next day. Roy, the owner, was quick with his responses to my questions and concerns prior to our event, which made me feel confident that we chose the right company. We hired RG Bar Services for our Hawaiian style wedding reception at the Club Room in Coronado. Roy is absolutely F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C. From the beginning, he was very friendly, responsive and informative, providing a list of supplies to purchase and letting us know how everything works. Roy bartended the event himself, even though it was his birthday, and he arrived early and had everything set to go in no time, including a Hawaiian style bar skirt. He made sure the bride & groom always had a drink and received rave compliments from our guests. As an extra perk, he took many pictures of the event which was great because we didn't have an official photographer. We highly recommend RG Bar Services. Thank you Roy (we Virgos have to stick together). read more

Planning a welcome party at Tower Beach Club at Mission Bay for my son's wedding from Kentucky was a bit difficult, but the best decision I made was hiring Roy as our bartender. Roy was so prompt answering calls and emails that I knew I was making the right choice in hiring RG Services. Through numerous emails during the months of planning Roy was there to help me with my drink shopping list. Day of the event arrives and there is Roy and Jason on time and quickly getting everything set up. They even helped to make sure my food and snacks were not running low since that was set up on the counter behind them. He reminded me throughout to relax and have fun which I needed. Now icing on the cake were the fantastic photos he took throughout the day and posted so I could share. You can't go wrong hiring Roy and his staff. read more

I used them for an event I was running. The bartenders were nice, but kept giving out drinks without collecting drink tickets or checking IDs, even though I kept reminding them. I called to express my concern to the owner (not asking for anything but just letting him know) but he did not take the feedback well and was extremely unprofessional about it. read more

Just want to give some vendor love to Roy Givon of RG Bar Services! He helped me out big time today as a fellow industry vendor. Firstly, he's an amazing person: knowledgeable, authentic, kind, good sense of humor and a worldly air of culture about his person, who has been nothing but a consummate professional at the many weddings I've performed alongside his services over the years. I always recommend him in the rare circumstance a DJ can refer bartenders. Now for the recent reason I have to sing his praises from the rooftops: I have a destination wedding this Saturday (my second pandemic-era wedding) for which the couple had questions regarding alcohol requirements / shopping list creation for their wedding, since they had to fire their caterer/bar services just TWO WEEKS prior to their wedding! (They've thankfully found an emergency caterer/bar). I try to help beyond just being a "DJ/MC", often taking on an unofficial partial coordination role and offering whatever assistance I can for my couples. While this was out of my wheelhouse, I reached out to someone I knew could help. Enter Roy. Roy offered so much incredible advice, thorough on his expertise and preemptively answering questions I did not even think to ask. And all because he's a genuine, kind person with a great heart. Like most of us, he's unfortunately been shutdown by COVID restrictions since March, but if you need anybody as a bartender for whichever gatherings will be allowed down the road, please consider Roy! Let this serve as a beacon of hope in this insane time we're experiencing. Don't think twice--reach out to him. He takes the time to get to know you and your goals, and tailor the experience exactly to what you want. You can rest assured you will have a stellar experience for your guests. read more

Such great bar services so personable and kind! They have a great attitude and poured us well. Safe to say we are happy customers

Terrible for private bar services. They are carding you at a private event to people who are clearly over age, for example 50+??? Well below the par for services I would expect. Just terrible, and talk about zero alcohol in the drinks, why are you skimping for an event. Then I could go on about the inexperienced bartenders as well. read more

Roy recently bartended my wedding I had said there were going to be about 85 people, which had RSVPed and only about 40 showed up. :( BUT Roy was absolutely phenomenal. A high end bartending service at a great cost. Full disclosure: This was my favorite vendor of my wedding last weekend. Reasons being: Customer Service- absolutely the best around. Roy, the owner, has no more than a 24 hour turn around/response time, which is more than stellar in my experience in the wedding planning this past year. Sometimes, it was within the next few hours following! I've told Roy all these fabulous things already, but I need to share my recommendation to everybody, because I felt so good about my bar services at my wedding due to this company! RG Bar Services was referred to me through my good friend, Trish S. who is an expert event planner (for Yelp particularly:) ) as she knew what type of bartending services I needed for my venue. I had my wedding at the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park. RG Bar was very experienced in the museums and other venues in the area, as well as the MOPA itself. It was very helpful to have their level of expertise when my venue required certain documents from my bartender. Upon initially contacting RG Bar and receiving their response, I immediately felt secure and completely stress-free in this area of my wedding. This is HUGE, considering everything that a bride needs to worry about, and juggle throughout the many months of planning. Roy and his team were so amazing the night of the event as well. The friendliest people-- you feel like they're your friends, who ensure you have a good time, and that you don't worry about a thing. In addition, I was beyond impressed with their professionalism, and how easy and fun they were to work with, not just with me, but also with my day of coordinator, the venue event staff, and other vendors that night. Roy is so incredibly helpful and thorough, and I cannot thank him enough for being an expert in this industry, because it was the one thing about my wedding (a huge part of any wedding might I add) that I did not stress about. I highly recommend using RG Bar, and I cannot wait to cross paths with them again in the future. I may throw another huge party just so I can hire them. :) read more
