Bam!Bun! Not sure if this is really the name of the business, but it sure sounds great!! We found them at the Monday Farmers Market at Welk Resort, and I am so glad that we did!! They sell Sliders, Bao Buns, and the Bam! Box! You can fill each item with different fillings. Wifey and I shared Bao Buns which was 2 for $10. One bun was filled with Pork Bulgogi while the other was filled with Chicken Adobo. The bao buns are steamed and are like soft fluffy pillows of goodness. Jun, the owner, packs each bao bun with cabbage, fried garlic, pickled veggies, green onions, and your choice of filling. Make sure to add his homemade spicy mayo to your bao!!The Chicken Adobo is shredded, and it tastes very good combined with all the veggies inside that delicious fluffy pillow of yummyness!! As good as the Chicken Adobo filling was, I liked the Pork Bulgogi even more!! Highly recommend!! Service was fantastic! He explained everything , and he even let us sample the Jackfruit Bbq filling. That jackfruit bbq filling was quite unique, but I prefer meat. If you come across this vendor at a Farmers Market, brewery, or some place else in North San Diego County.....do yourself a favor and give them a try!! You will not regret it.

Japanese curry and lumpia!

On my way out of SoCal Batting Center, I saw Bam! Bun! And I stopped by. Jun the owner was incredibly kind and friendly! Sampled the Japanese curry and wound up buying a mini plate and some lumpia! Great food, great people! Thank you Jun!

(I forgot to take a photo of my Bam Bun so this is from their FB page. I had the one on the right and it really was that pretty.)

First off, I just want to say that The Boiling Crab is awesome!…read more The atmosphere is amazing, and the customer service is excellent. The workers check on you at the perfect times, help you understand the menu, and even break down your order and pricing so you know exactly what you're getting. The prices are great and surprisingly affordable. I ended up leaving a $30 tip because I couldn't thank them enough. If you're on a budget, they'll even pull out a Sharpie and write different options and prices right on your table to help you stay within your budget. What other place has service like that? McDonald's? No way. Chick-fil-A? Not even close. The Boiling Crab is an incredible experience, and I would definitely come back again and again. Whether you're trying a seafood boil for the first time or coming back for another visit, this is the place to go. They have all the seafood and sides you could want, and everything tastes amazing. Would you rather spend hundreds of dollars on random stuff from Facebook Marketplace, or about $20 per person for a delicious seafood boil the whole family can enjoy? The food is filling, flavorful, and worth every penny. This place is also perfect for birthday parties. They don't take reservations, but they do have wait times, and you can always call ahead if you're planning something special. I'm actually planning to have my 50th birthday party here with a group of 20 people, and they told me they can accommodate us, which is amazing. I'll be sure to update everyone on how the party goes! Also, my husband is the one who drove me here, and I'm so thankful for him. He's currently fighting stage 4 cancer, and seeing him smile and enjoy a great meal meant the world to me. For a little while, he seemed happier and felt better, and that's something I'll never forget. So, ladies and gentlemen, if you're craving a seafood boil and you're anywhere in the San Diego area--whether you're a few minutes away or even a few hours away--you know where to go: The Boiling Crab. It's a fantastic place for families, friends, and anyone looking for a fun and delicious meal. - Beckett

We came with a bigger group (9 people) so she helped us figure out what would be good for our family size. Food came out surprisingly fast for how busy the restaurant was. The staff/server were helpful refilling our drinks making sure we were okay at all time. The portions were perfect for the amount of people we came with And just right. The Old Spaghetti Factory - Managers favorite, mizithra and meat sauce-why mess with perfection.

Many years of going to "S'getti Factory". I think this was the first time I had ordered something…read moreother than Mazithra cheese & Browned Butter spaghetti. Luckily, the thing I ordered came with a side of mazithra cheese spaghetti. I ordered Marsala Chicken...never again here. It was essentially brown mushroom gravy over a non- juicy chicken breast. The taste of Marsala wine was not present. My companion tasted it and said the same thing. Not recommended. We were immediately seated. The booth we were seated in had very little lighting & we had to ask to be re-seated. Our server Mia was wonderful! She was happy & everything was great as far as our service went. Kudos to her!

I tried liking this place. Truly tried. Ordered and went to pick up and again not ready when it…read moresaid it would be. Waited 15 mins outside even. Nada. Waited 20 inside the restaurant and 35 total and finally manager comes with it. He did apologize, even helped me to the car since it was a big order. Straight home and we tried the food and yikes, not the worse pasta, the worst made us ill. This place at least hasn't made us ill. So there's that. It was either flavorless or sour. A couple dishes had a flavorless oily gritty taste and one was sour. The bread use to be delicious but not now, it was so bad the kids didnt like it. The ice cream which has always been delicious was freezer burnt tasting. What happened? I mean the pasta has always been quite bland which is sad. But the bread and ice cream was always delicious and I'd let the kids have the pasta and I'd enjoy the bread salad and ice cream. The soup has always been bad. Even my husband doesn't like their soup. Bland bland. So sad, this place has a nice location and beautiful restaurant but horrible service apart from the manager being kind enough to help me with the bags. The hostess forgets you if you are even acknowledged in the first place. The man that can didnt even greet anyone. Just talked to her and they laughed then off they went. Ppl waiting, no acknowledgement. Such a waste of a great venue. I hope one day it gets better or closes and a better restaurant replaces it.
