The menu above the counter

Surprisingly good. I hadn't been here since they added grill foods to their menu, 20+ years ago. Back then, I wasn't impressed, but I also wasn't writing. Great fries. Very good onion rings. Very good burgers and a, "...think this is the best Philly Cheese Steak I've had, and I've been to Moe's in Philadelphia", said another in our small group. Perhaps we will return for another try. Philly cheese steak??? More vege then anything hardly any meat.

I had a Philly cheese steak with everything on it yes it looked amazing but once eating found out it's more vegetables than anything. Felt like a vege sandwich. With a very light taste of meat. I got Cajon fries that were nice and soft but it was lacking the flavor. Also had an 8oz redbull and Gatorade for a total price of $33.63 Definitely not worth the money. That get a couple stars cause of the friendly service.

Very classic deli with an old school rustic country feel up in Valley Center. Tasty fresh vegetables, meat, and bread from friendly people.

Accessibility: pretty accessible place! They have disabled parking, the parking lot is paved and flat ground, and all flat ground to enter the building. The door to enter is a single pull door. There is seating inside but it is all high tables (not made for wheelchairs). There are a few tables outside, under a covered patio, with moveable chairs and wheelchair accessible tables. Experience: the food here is pretty good! I really enjoy the turkey sandwich and grilled cheese sandwiches. The kids like the hot chocolate! Masks: masks are currently mandated in California, and all the employees were wearing masks, but none of the customers coming in and eating inside had masks.

Yummy! This is a great spot. Delicious burgers, fries, and super tasty shakes. Really nice owner and service staff. Food takes a little long to prepare, but that's just because they are short staffed due to COVID. Order at the counter and they will bring the food to you. Dog friendly outside on large patio. I'm a regular here and love it!

Plexiglass still?

I've always liked this place. Admittedly for breakfast, coffee or the occasional pastrami sandwich. But today's visit has left me reconsidering my eatery options. The attendant behind the counter was barely interested in helping me. And when I expressed have trouble hearing him, it seemed he deliberately spoke softer. Then after I tried to sign the bill with a dead pen he spent 60 or more seconds taking it apart instead of offering me my drink so I could wait for my food. At least this elicited an apology as he realized he forgot I was standing there. This place is not managed, it's scooted along because of few other choices. That will hopefully change with all the new homes being built. Pity.

We attend events in Valley Center several times a year. This deli has really good food and convenient location.

Okay breakfast. I had to wait for coffee, all 5 of the carafes were empty and they hadn't even started brewing any fresh coffee.

Service is extremely slow and the kitchen is chaotic. Food is just okay, prices are steep! I would not visit again.

Great rural deli, fresh from farm produce, with nice selection of hot and cold sandwiches and breakfast. Super-friendly service. My VC fave.

I did struggle on this visit because I felt that the food festival could have been better. I stress that I love this place and enjoyed the music. I often buy nuts, candy or fudge there. They have a section in back where they sell cool stuff. I especially love going near Christmas. If you haven't been, give it a try. Good for kids too. Don't forget about the pumpkin patch in October

It is located in Valley Center, so be prepared for your trek. I always go with plenty of snacks, food and water. Having celiac means the food tents will not have options for any food restrictions, but maybe if you're lucky you can get a lemonade for $13 or something. Be prepared to shell out exorbitant amounts for any purchases. The pumpkin patch is a great place to get fall pictures, but the prices are wild. The rides are about $5 each for a minute or two. The bounce obstacle course was $5 for three times running through. It was unreasonable. The gift shop sold the cheapest temu crappy toys for $20!! Buy you're own toys at Walmart and bring them with you to keep the kids happy. I can buy junk on my own. The nuts and candy and dried fruits are probably the only thing I am ok with buying. It's about the price of Sprouts or Whole Foods. I'll usually buy my kiddo a treat and steer him away from the insanity of the price tags of the crappy toys and we're good to go. I buy my pumpkins at target though.
