IMHO First time trying a Shaka Pop! We found them set up at the Maui Swap Meet and my hubby tried the Maui Mocha pop. It was excellent in flavor and refreshment! It's perfect for a quick treat on a hot day! Only $5 and well worth it. There are many tropical flavors to choose from! read more

We were driving back up the Road to Hana and we saw this lady waving to everyone from the side of the road selling ice pops so we figured, lets see what she's got. Just as we suspected she was super nice and friendly and convinced us we needed to try these ice pops (it wasn't hard to convince us). I got the Passion Orange Guava and my girlfriend got the Coconut Lime. She took both cash and Venmo so that helped make it a little easy for us. The pops were very flavorful, wasn't overly sugary or anything. Definitely could tell they used real fruits, especially with the Coconut Lime since it even had a little lime rind in it. Come by, especially if its a hot day! Trust me, it's worth it. read more

Shaka Pops - a person holding a piece of cheese - Desserts Near Me

We had Shaka Pops during our little shopping day at the Maui Swap Meet. In the sweltering sunny heat, these pops were a life saver! I really loved the Lava Flow flavor and the POG! Such a cute family owned business! My husband and I could definitely use some Shaka pops in the hot summer heat of California, but I guess we'll have to make another trip to Maui to satisfy our Shaka Pop craving. read more

Came on a Saturday to the Maui Swap Meet and found this oasis of gourmet pops to eat while we shopped! We ended up getting 6 popsicles there was a deal for 3 for $12. Flavors: Lava Flow (piña colada with strawberry), POG (passion orange guava), Watermelon Honey (seasonal option), Strawberry Banana Since we each had one, can't say for certain how the flavors compare but quite honestly you can't go wrong with any of them!! read more

I ordered this at the market at the University of Hawaii-Maui. This was the best popsicle I ever had. I ordered the cocoa banana which was no sugar added. It tasted like a smoothie! The chocolate was so creamy and the banana slices incorporated into it were such a nice touch! If you're on the island, definitely check them out! read more

Who knew that popsicles could be elevated or even kind of "gourmet." I love how they use all fresh and local island ingredients in the "pops," because you can really taste the quality of the ingredients in each popsicle, and man, every bite is an explosion of flavor, and refreshing goodness! Shaka Pops reminds me of, and is very similar to another gourmet popsicle place in Seattle called, "Seattle Pops." However, I feel like Shaka Pops has the edge on them just by a bit because of how fresh and rich the fruits taste in the popsicles. I had a chance to try some Shaka Pops at the Maui swap meet, and I got the papaya passion. It was such a hot day, and having Shaka Pops there with their cute little cart was such a savior! Just from that very first bite of the popsicle, I was already blown away. First you have the luscious icy and smooth texture and consistency of the popsicle, but it tasted as if I were a king eating the ripest and most luxurious passion fruit and papayas that were picked fresh straight from the source. That first bite and every other bite after that were so fresh and refreshing. You could really taste every component in the popsicle, like the tanginess from the papaya, and the slight tartness from the passion fruit. Another thing I loved about the pop was the sweetness level. It was so spot on perfect! The papaya passion actually doesn't have any added sugar, and doesn't even need any added sugar because it gets its amazing sweetness from the natural sugars of the fruits. Man, I really wish I had a chance to try more of their flavors, and have more of their pops. I guess that's for another vacation. But man, these were some of the best fruity pops I have ever had in my life! read more

We had Shaka Pops today (3/12) on Maui and they were awesome! I love the flavors and as someone who is lactose intolerant, the fact they were coconut milk, is even better. today we had lava flow (pina colada and strawberry) and açaí berry. please support local businesses! This Is one worth supporting! read more

"My wife made me fly from California and drive all the way to Hana for this!" That's what my husband told the nice lady with the Shaka Pops Trike outside of Hana Ranch General Store. Guilty as charged. *shrug* Sometimes the yelp find is not about the find itself, but about the journey. I think that's what they say.. Or maybe that's what they say about the Road to Hana..? Either way, it's true to both. After a long and winding (read: nauseating) drive to Hana, the bright green popsicle stand was a welcomed site! These Pops are so refreshing and literally brought me back to life! Love the unique Hawaiian flavor combos, and extra heart eyes for the fact that all Pops are made locally using locally sourced ingredients. Mango Mojito, Pineapple Ginger, Lava Flow-- these are not your average grocery store popsicles. These are gourmet, and definitely justify the hefty $4.75 price tag per Pop. I had the Lava Flow, Shaka Pop's fan fave. The Popsicle was a smooth mix of Coconut and Pineapple, with a fun Strawberry drizzle. My husband had the Raspberry Lemonade which was quite tart and right up his alley, lover of all sour candies. I also sampled a friend's Pineapple Ginger which had the tiniest bite from the ginger, so refreshing on a hot day. Shaka Pops are easily available at other spots on Maui, but I appreciated the experience just that much more after having traveled the whole Road to Hana. It was such a treat at the end! And those that comment that these Pops are too icy-- shut up. It's a POPSICLE. Don't be stupid. :) read more

Maui gets very hot and humid sometimes; I'd buy two of these frozen treats. One for my mouth and one to sit on. ...don't have to thank me. read more

We tried watermelon mojito and pineapple ginger, both were great!! The ginger one even settled my husband's stomach issues. Nice owners, smart flavors with dairy, non-dairy, sugar-free, and sweetened options, so there's something for anyone's dietary needs. We got ours at the Maui Swap Meet this past Saturday, where their stand was on the back left diagonally from the entrance. read more

Grabbed a couple on the way back home from Hana and WOW! We ended up eating a few over our stay in Maui, I don't remember all of the flavors but it doesn't matter because all of them where delicious! Delicious! The only thing I have to frown upon is the price, they are VERY expensive and so I have to knock a star off because of the price. :EDIT: Thank you very much for responding to my review! We thought it over and realize how valid all of your points are and considering the limited options for food on the road to Hana and the high standard of quality, you guys most definitely deserve all FIVE stars! Mahalo! read more

So icy :(. Got the lava flow. Flavor was fine but not the biggest fan of the texture. Would not repurchase. read more

Accidentally dropped popsicle and was given another one. Super good flavors and aloha.

I tried the passion fruit pop, the texture was not so good, melted almost as soon as I opened it, would not get again.

I found these at the Times market and I fell in love (because of the great ingredients-I'm a compulsive label reader)!!! I had the watermelon mojito and it was fantastic! Can't wait to try all the rest! I love that it's a Maui company- I'm always looking for those! LOVE! read more

Soooo good! Homemade, fresh ingredients and creative recipes. Still in Maui and hoping to try a few more flavors before we leave!:)

In October 2012, we ran into Shaka Pops twice at the Maui swap meet and craft fair. Even found them in a freezer at the high country grocery store. I didn't have a yelp account but knew that I needed to tell all about how great the frozen fruit bars tasted. I have eaten many in my day trying to eat healthy snacks, these were the best. You can taste the difference. The mojito was my favorite but the coconut with lava was good too. The flavor was great. I sure wish they were available here in Denver. So if you are on vacation or lucky enough to live in Maui try a Shaka pop frozen fruit bar. read more

I had the raspberry lemonade and it was very good. My sisters had strawberry limeade and POG and we figured out the popsicles actually have fruit in them! The owner is so friendly and very well priced. read more
