Ok, the taste of the condensed milk with Ube was delicious no doubt. My problem is the lack of flavor in the middle of all of our ice. It was completely white. **AMAZING** Last night in town and our waiter at Monkeypod suggested we come here after hearing of our plans to visit another shave ice. We had the other shave ice place, rated so highly on Yelp, on our list of places we must try but our waiter really convinced us this place is superior. We didn't have the traditional Hawaiian shave ice but opted for their Bao Bing shave ice version. We live in SoCal, the Mecca of Asian food and desserts and this place was by far THE BEST shave ice dessert our family has ever had!! My partner actually found this place because we love Taiwanese shaved ice spots like Meet Fresh and Sul Bing on the mainland, and we wanted to see what Maui's version was like. We were absolutely not disappointed. Their take has a really tropical twist. We got an ube base and a strawberry one, and both flavors were super intense in a good way -- rich, creamy, and refreshing. This is located inside the South Maui Gardens right behind the blue Aloha Prime Eatery truck. It's a little hard to find but I was able to find it through previous pictures posed on here. There wasn't anyone in line so I didn't have to wait long for my order. There are also bench seats next to the small building that this is located in. I ordered the Keiki with Ube condensed milk, mochi, mango and li hing mui powder. It was good. The ice isn't as soft as I would have liked. And what I didn't like was that the ube condensed milk didn't go into the center of the ice so a lot of it have no flavor.
