Tony is a quiet but friendly guy, I presume of Italian descent by his accent. He did a fine job of bringing in my shirt in about a weeks time. It cost me $15. My wife says that's about average (in cost) but for me to be able to continue wearing the shirt it was worth it. It's like new (only smaller.) So you know, the stores facade is nothing to speak of. The interior is the same way, it's old and looks like it hasn't been 'tended to' in decades. It didn't matter to me, in a way it's just character. I'm bringing back more shirts...

She texted me and told me "After…read morecareful consideration, I do not think we are a right fit for your request and should proceed forward. Please consider looking for another tailor that you will feel more confident in and will be able to provide you with exactly what you are looking for. The jacket being new I understand it is of a great deal to have it fixed without being rarely noticeable. Stitching it with sewing machine or by hand with regular needle will not give the effect you are looking for and I do not feel confident in this case that you will be happy with results without proper tool. Thank you." *mind you she never even heard of a snag needle* So this tailor doesn't have any confidence in her work. She just pretty much told me to find someone else. Difficult communicating with her too. *DO NOT RECOMMEND*. She couldn't even fix this....

I had a wonderful experience at Elms Cleaners for my wedding dress alterations…read more *PLEASE BE AWARE* she is booking months out! I had to call in the beginning of May for my September wedding and she had to squeeze me in then. So call 5 months before your big day or sooner. She booked 4 appointments for me, and a final appointment for pick up and how to show my maid of honor how to bustle my dress. She might look a little disorganized, but that is just her way of doing things. My wedding dress came out perfect. The only problem was my dress was so heavy the bustle did come undone at my reception but this was my fault for stepping on the dress and ripping some of the button's thread.. I had emergency thread and able to fix it... most dresses would not have this problem, but if you're waking in uneven grass just make sure to lift up the dress and watch your step. Either way, I looked perfect in the dress and that's all that mattered. She has great communication, always verified next appointments and texted me if she needed any questions answered or updates on when my dress was ready. Ursula is a very sweet lady, and always trying to appease. I would definitely recommend to anyone. She's actually a master tailor, took 8 years of schooling... her perfection and attention to detail is on point. She was very helpful with veil selection and advice for bridal fashion. She also helped me find a new rhinestone appliqué piece for the bodice that was nicer than the one the dress came with! Just call really early to book!

I picked both up about a week or so after due date. One was extremely wrinkled which I wasn't expecting at that price point nor from a professional service. I hate to write negative reviews but I was very disappointed. I had a kilt with a broken buckle…read morethat needed to be resized and a leather jacket with a small tear. I chose to come here because they can work with leather. The tailor said there wasn't anything she could do about the kilt and brushed off my request for an inside pocket on the jacket. I drop off the jacket to be repaired. Two week and twenty bucks later I come back for the jacket. Instead of being patched, the tear is messily stitched. There's so much stitching I can feel it through the sleeve. She said she didn't have any material, not even a square inch of black leather that would have done the job. I ended up taking the kilt to another tailor who did a great job in half the time and for less than the quoted price. I'm thinking of taking her the jacket, getting the amateurish stitching ripped out and redone properly. I don't want to speak ill of the hardworking people who run this place. But I'm afraid I would be back do to poor customer service and craftsmanship.
