Small hole in wall open late with delicious small bites or full entrees. I only tried the vegetable samosa but it was nicely spiced still crispy and had a good ratio of other vegetables besides potato as a filling. It was only 1.50 for this. The workers were very nice and double checked when I only wanted to order one thing but it was late! I think they are used to people ordering more. Will def come back o try more but beware there's no seating unless you sit outside.

I ordered a Medium Steak but got Well-done instead. Its a shame Desi people don't understand how meat can be cooked w/o being well-done. The steak was pretty tough, I almost choked a few times. On top of that, they don't even have Steak Knives. How do you have Outdoor Dining but no Steak Knives? The Mashed Potatoes are amazing as usual. I love the beans as well. The rice is ok. Definitely never getting Steak from here ever again! The Shahi Gyro is good. It's better then the Bihari Kabab which was kinda dry. I like the Shawarmas (not pictured), although they're not as good as Duzan's. I got Chicken & Beef Shawarmas. I prefer the Chicken Shawarma.

Wanted some fresh Middle Eastern food, not all the microwave and overpriced crap that's in the area. The counter guy was nice and understood English. It's standing room only inside with some outdoor seating in the street next to the garbage. I also got a chicken roll as an appetizer which was good, but a bit spicy. Everything seems to be made fresh, so expect a wait. I will definitely be back to try other dishes especially with their red and green sauces.

I came here on a Wednesday night because of the good reviews I found on Yelp. I had to choose between this and Sammy's, boy do I regret my decision. The gyro meat is extremely greasy... You might say, halal is greasy but this is a new level of great. Every bite I take out of the meat it's like a sponge, grease comes out of it. I would walk across the street and any of the halal food trucks instead.

This is my second time in this place. My friend and I loved it! Very delicious food and good service. Def 5 stars!

Chicken simosa was thrown in complimentary and it was a pleasant surprise it's really spicy and I love that! The gyros were somewhat soggy wish they put less sauce but over all pretty good flavor. Ordered on door dash wasn't really hot and had to refry the samosas in my air fryer.

Taste: 4.5/5 I ordered the lamb chops and they were really good. I like how they ask how you want it done and I said medium and it came out good. The beans, mashed potatoes and rice were flavorful as well. Mango lassi was okay, nothing too special. Value: 3/5 the lamb chops come out to a little over $14 with tax. Wish there was more meat in the lamb chops as 2 of mine were kind of small and 1 was regular sized but I got full off the sides as they fill you up quick. The mango lassi is a good value $3.

Hubs and I got the munchies at 2am and we went driving around Jackson heights and saw it open. We tried the Chicken Samosa, chicken Pattie and chicken Katti roll. All the food was good hit the spot. We tried their mango lassi and strawberry lassi it wasn't thick or sweet enough for us. All in all good food would go again. Customer service was great too.

I ordered the lamb chops on DoorDash ... to say they were delicious is an understatement. Juicy and smoky, it was everything one would want for a late night craving and more. The lamb chops came with a side of beans and mashed potatoes. I didn't care for the mashed potatoes, I felt like they needed more salt and the beens were a bit too sweet, but if you're craving affordable lamb chops, definitely order from this establishment!! I personally will be ordering again and again.

We kicked things off with the lamb spring rolls, which aren't something you see on every Indian menu. They came out crisp, well-seasoned, and paired with a cool cucumber raita that balanced the spice nicely. Not life-changing, but definitely a fun and solid opener. For my main, I leaned into a random lamb craving and ordered the lamb vindaloo--and this is where Seva really delivered. Deep, rich flavor with a satisfying level of heat that doesn't hold back but also doesn't overwhelm. The lamb itself was tender and clearly given the time it deserved. This dish alone would bring me back. Service was attentive without hovering, and the pacing of the meal felt just right--no awkward gaps, no rushing.

Taking over for another desi-owned spot (#1) several years ago, they've done a much better job of capturing an audience by focusing on a niche of Goan inspired foods, along with a slew of classic Indian dishes that span from north to south. The interior is modest and quaint, and a one bright / memorable outdoor setup during the pandemic. The restaurant is not big, but they've managed to cram in a good number of tables to make it place for 30 folks. Takeout and delivery are also very popular, and I've been fortunate to have had all of the above. Some immediate standouts: goan fish curry, xacuti curry, and the caldeen curry are quite excellent and all come from the Indo-Portuguese side of the menu, which are all loaded with flavor. Additionally, the tandoori selection (especially the chicken malai, seekh kebab, and methi salmon) and variety of curries (rogan josh, korma, jalfrezi, makhani, etc.) are also very flavorful. As with many other Indian places, especially ones that cater to the southern palate, there is an excellent vegetarian selection. The saag chana is one of my go-tos, but the peeli dal, bhindi masala, gobi manchurian over their lemon or tomato rice all merit a big thumbs up. Ownership has likely changed since their initial start, which explains why the staff and "family owned" management has all gotten different looks before and after the pandemic. The other major issue has been pricing, which definitely feels premium at $21-23, for portions that sometimes feels like the size of a hockey puck. The product is still good and the pickins in Sunnyside (#2) are slim, so I realize that for some people, this is the only (Indian) game in town. ___________ (#1) Biriyani House: https://www.yelp.com/biz/biriyani-house-sunnyside (#2) Unless of course, we're counting all the Nepalese spots that also serve Indian cuisine.

The place has undergone quite a few changes, as well as physically moving, over the past three decades. It now sits in a more modern, smaller space. We met friends there for dinner. We started with the samosas, which were thick and filled with potatoes and peas and so satisfying, especially with a dabble of tamarind sauce. For our main meal we had the Goad Kadai, which was excellent, along with the Chicken Lajawab, the Chicken Korma, the Chicken Biryani, and the Paneer Kadai, all of which were proclaimed "very good." Service here is always excellent. From the minute you sit down, when we were given Indian crackers and dips, throughout the meal. You don't even have to ask for containers for the leftovers. They are brought to you as soon as the servers notice you are done eating and there is food leftover. Dinner for four with five entrees, a beer, an appetizer, tax, and tip was around $152.
