Chicken Saagwala

This is great Indian spot with authentic dishes. Great staff and clean ambiance. Service was quick and friendly. We shared the chicken saag, gobi Manchurian and lamb vindaloo. Everything tasted fresh and prepared with care.

Ate here today for dinner after work by myself. I had ordered the Indian crackers, samosa chaat and had a drink of rose lassi that it had tasted really good and delicious. The service there was also attentive and super fast. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time.

Amazing food, beautiful restaurant, and awesome service. Can't go wrong with the classic chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. Also had the chance to eat the lamb biryani and it was delicious.

My husband and I stopped by Red Chilli for the first time last night and had a really great experience overall. We did have a reservation, and the place was pretty busy, but they have a decent number of tables occupying two rooms, so we were seated right away. The decor is interesting in the second room. There are chandeliers that feel somewhat flamboyant and old school, but the food itself was presented in a modern way. We had the gobi Manchurian, chicken saagwala, lamb vindaloo, and garlic naan. I am usually hesitant to order gobi Manchurian, because I've always found it to be too sweet, but our server recommended it and assured us it wouldn't be sweet, and he was right. It was probably the best version of the dish I've ever had. My husband loved his lamb vindaloo, and I really liked my chicken saagwala. My only minor complaint about the chicken saagwala is that I prefer when it's made with dark meat, and Red Chilli makes it with boneless, skinless chicken breast, so a few of the pieces were a little dry. Great flavor though. The garlic naan was perfectly crispy and airy. Overall we really liked it and would definitely come back. The service was great too (shout out to our server, AJ).

Chicken Manchow Soup ($7.99)

Walked in for lunch and Anirban got us seated on a cozy table. Fresh interiors, light background music, noise levels on the lower end, and a pretty welcoming host. Our order consisted of an extremely delcious Chicken Manchow Soup ($7.99), a very masaledaar Chicken Biryani ($21.99), and a rather spicy Chicken Angara Kabab ($20.99). The angara kabab was just spice forward and did not really have a unique taste to it, but the chicken was well cooked. Service was relatively quick and food arrived within 25 mins of placing the order. Overall, a very pleasant experience and a great option in the neighborhood!

Come with me to Red Chilli in NYC It has opened its doors with a promise to deliver an exceptional culinary experience that blends traditional flavors with modern twists. Delicate flavors expertly combined to bring you an authentic taste of India. Extensive menu of Northern Indian fare and beloved Indian favorites. Red Chilli offer a robust wine and has a full bar serving classic cocktails. The restaurant's interior features a large dining room with sleek, clean lines and sparkling surfaces. The tables are dressed in crisp tablecloths and decorated with fresh flowers. We tried strawberry daiquiri Mango tango Delhi special Dahi Bhalla papdi chaat Chicken 65 Red Chilli Spl Mixed grill Chicken Kali Mirch Bhuna Gosht Chicken Parda Biryani Dal Makhni Peas pulao Garlic naan & keema Kulcha Rabri falooda Moongdal halwa It is the ideal place to head for celebrations, romantic dates, and experiences to remember. It is a great go-to for New Yorkers in the mood for modern Indian cuisine. Must visit

Wonderful Indian eatery! The decor is so charming. The service couldn't have been more lovely; my server Dominick was very endearing. And the food was fantastic. I ordered the palak paneer (my go to) and it was full of fresh aromatics, creamy yet light spinach gravy, with the most tender, fresh paneer. Would recommend highly!

Cuisine: 3 Service: 7 Decor: 8 Value: 3 Overall: 4 Sorry for being brutally honest, but this restaurant in the heart of Jackson Heights just does not come anywhere close to its current 4.7 Yelp rating. Yes, it's a beautiful environment with fancy table settings and lots of chandeliers. Service was decent too. Unfortunately, the food itself just falls short of the robust flavors you expect from an Indian restaurant. The naan was alright in texture, but we could not taste the garlic whatsoever. Then came the Malai Kofta and Saag Paneer, which both lacked the spices and fragrance I expect from these dishes. Lastly, the server recommended their house special Chicken Angara Kebab. It was really not as spicy as he had described. More importantly, the white meat chicken had no depth of flavor and tasted very one dimensional. We were not impressed. I know the owners must have put in quite a bit of money and energy into the design of the restaurant. Maybe I have the whacky taste buds or went on a really off night, but I hope they spend more time improving the flavors of their food.

Dahi Puri

A great new spot in Jackson Heights! The restaurant is clean, stylish, and welcoming -- and the staff, especially AJ, is friendly and knowledgeable. Tip: Make a reservation for Friday dinner. The menu has excellent vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Don't miss the Dahi Puri -- crispy, tangy, little clouds. The steamed chicken dumplings are another great starter. For mains, the Lamb Parda Biryani is a showstopper, served in a dough-sealed pot and meticulously sliced open at the table. The goat curry, lamb shank, and the Red Chilli special chicken Angara kabab are all flavorful highlights. Highly recommend!

Tandoori chicken, garlic naan and a Mango Lassi

This place is probably the best Indian restaurant I've been to! The vibe, food is perfect for a date, birthday or any special occasion. The staff was very warm and welcoming and accommodating. Take my word for it you will love this restaurant!

4/5 Virgin strawberry daiquiri $7 - really good - slightly sweet & sour with hints of pineapple, tastes like a mix between nerds & jolly ranchers 4/5 Tandoori lobster- $26: 4/5 lobster tail - sweet, really good 2/5 lemon/lime rice- didn't realize it'd come with lemon/lime rice, too sour for me & I love sour stuff

Garlic Naan

Had to try the new place from the owners of Dosa Delight (go there as well if you've never been). Grabbed a reservation for a Saturday night and had an excellent meal here! My boyfriend and I shared: + Samosa chaat + Gobi Manchurian + Butter chicken + Garlic naan + Goat biryani The butter chicken was the #1 highlight, followed by the biryani. Samosa chaat and naan were also excellent. Only miss was the cauliflower, which had good flavor but I like it crispier. Service was great. We also had so many leftovers!!

Today I dropped by and had their lunch special which included a small side and an entree. I chose the vegetable samosa and the Kerala vegetable curry. The samosa had a nice flakey crust with a flavorful and substantial amount of filling. The kerala curry is coconut milk based with really great heat. The vegetables were firm and soft. And it was the great balance. Truly top notch curry for a lunch special. I was absolutely full, happy, and satisfied by the time my lunch break was over. Will certainly come back if im in the area.

We kicked things off with the lamb spring rolls, which aren't something you see on every Indian menu. They came out crisp, well-seasoned, and paired with a cool cucumber raita that balanced the spice nicely. Not life-changing, but definitely a fun and solid opener. For my main, I leaned into a random lamb craving and ordered the lamb vindaloo--and this is where Seva really delivered. Deep, rich flavor with a satisfying level of heat that doesn't hold back but also doesn't overwhelm. The lamb itself was tender and clearly given the time it deserved. This dish alone would bring me back. Service was attentive without hovering, and the pacing of the meal felt just right--no awkward gaps, no rushing.

The place has undergone quite a few changes, as well as physically moving, over the past three decades. It now sits in a more modern, smaller space. We met friends there for dinner. We started with the samosas, which were thick and filled with potatoes and peas and so satisfying, especially with a dabble of tamarind sauce. For our main meal we had the Goad Kadai, which was excellent, along with the Chicken Lajawab, the Chicken Korma, the Chicken Biryani, and the Paneer Kadai, all of which were proclaimed "very good." Service here is always excellent. From the minute you sit down, when we were given Indian crackers and dips, throughout the meal. You don't even have to ask for containers for the leftovers. They are brought to you as soon as the servers notice you are done eating and there is food leftover. Dinner for four with five entrees, a beer, an appetizer, tax, and tip was around $152.

Cocktails of Mai Tai and Margheritas were being drunk with joy. I only liked the mango lassi which was served in a tall fluted glass and was refreshing. All the curries had the same flavor which my friends realized that the cuisine here was pseudo authentic. We skipped dessert as we had brought chocolates to share. Sharon, the lovely server who has been here for ten years was patient and pleasant.
