The best old school drive-in in the tristate area. Got a dog, English dog, cheeseburger and chicken basket with vanilla and peanut butter milkshakes. The English dog is the best hot dog I've had. The kiddo enjoyed the heck out of the chicken strip basket. Better than DQ! Staff were amazing and it just has all the right vibes. Highly recommended!! read more

If you don't love the fries and shakes, get a COVID test....your tastebuds are off. I am a big fan of the hot dogs and salads as well. Hot dogs are serious business in WV, so everyone has an opinion but these are my favorites. read more

Reasonably priced. Always fresh and hot. Friendly staff. Have had burgers, fries, onion rings and corndog so far. The only negative is on the onion rings, the portion was very small, unlike the fries which were plentiful. I plan to try the chili cheese fries next. I just moved to Milton a few months ago and can understand why they are always busy! read more

As soon as we parked, the car hop appeared to take our order. Both of us had the English Dog which was like a hot dog should taste. Sauce and slaw and the bun toasted. The onion rings were very good and not greasy. A cold diet root beer hit the spot on a hot day. We enjoyed our lunch at the picnic tables under the shade trees. Highly recommend!!! read more

Old style drive in type fast food. Several cars there when we arrived but the service was quick, friendly and efficient. I had 2 dogs with slaw & sauce and fries. The wife had a cheeseburger and onion rings. We both enjoyed our meals. The dogs were good and the fries were excellent. The cheeseburger was also very good and the onion rings excellent. Great place for a quick stop and good food. We'll do it again if back in the area. read more

Excellent spot for lunch and ice cream. In town for work and found this quaint drive in. Sit in your car while the servers take your order and bring it to you. Burgers, hotdogs and several sides to enjoy. Pickle fries & tater tots were a hit. Dozens of ice cream flavors to choose from and the peanut butter milkshake was great. Great staff also. read more

We just stopped for lunch on our way through the state (and visiting Blenko). We sat out in the shade on one of their picnic tables. The food was delicious and geneticist. The burgers were fresh, the milkshakes real and the onion rings super crispy and fresh. And great customer service! read more

In town for a short while so I thought we'd try this little drive-in. I read the reviews on yelp and saw that the onion rings were supposed to be good but unfortunately my onion rings were burnt. They were not very good. The french fries were also a little on the done side so not so great either. I had a cheeseburger which was OK and my husband ordered the steak burger. We didn't realize that what made the steak burger a steak burger was just adding on some sauce because that's the only difference we could tell. So overall not too thrilled with this dining experience. read more

WOW!! Awesome burgers. To die for actually!!! So juicy and melted cheese. The onion rings are 10/10. Fries are perfect burger fries. Small road side drive in. As soon as we pulled on Casey came bouncing up to our car to take your order. A lot of cars came and wen after picking up their call him in order. We had Bacon Cheeseburger and I had the steak hoagie. Both pretty good. Great service with a big smile read more

Food is absolutely amazing! My wife LOVES drive-in's and raves about Shaffer's. She's from Logan County, WV and said Shaffer's is "up there with Morrison's;" so that's a pretty big deal. All of the staff were just as great as the food. We will definitely be coming back! Burgers and hot dogs are great! Make sure you try the homemade potato chips. Yummy! read more

The food is great. The hotdog sauce is delicious and homemade. The crinkle cut fries are my favorite. The burgers are good and not too greasy or sloppy. My kids enjoy the hand scooped ice cream. Our family has visited Shaffer's several times, always having a wonderful experience. The food prep is a little slow, but it forces our family to slow down and enjoy each other. Whether we've ordered hot dogs, chicken tenders, cheeseburgers, or milkshakes, we have been totally satisfied. The young man who works there is very organized and attentive to all customers. He never slows down and is able to accommodate 7-8 cars at a time. Shaeffers has just introduced their peach and banana milkshakes. read more
