This time to deal with a clogged bathroom sink and to install a new garage sink faucet, along wiht "consultation" to help us wiht 3-4 other minor household plumbing and drain issues. Once he saw that I had already opened and checked the pea trap on the bathroom sink, he immediately referred us to Zoom Drains here in OC, which came out the next day and handled our issues without the usual rooter-guy pricing scams. Was able to easily schedule an appointment to align with new fridge delivery. My 1960's house isn't plumbed for fridge indoor water/ice dispenser. Derrick discussed options--through adjacent garage wall or hose through cabinetry. He was patient, polite, verified that any affected appliances were operational prior to his departure( fridge and dishwasher that was removed during hose installation) And cleaned up afterwards. Very pleased with Tyree's quick response, attentiveness to detail and willingness to ask for our input on where and how we wanted the sink installed. We had a cracked fiberglass tub and surround. We called 4 contractors/plumbers for quotes. One quote came from an estimator from a large company and it was very expensive. One plumber never sent the quote. One contractor came in lower, but he was slow to respond and it wasn't a complete job leaving us to patch drywall, patch flooring and paint. Jeff quoted a very fair price for all the work completed. Jeff did exactly what he said he would do. He started the day he said he would and worked all day each day until the job was completed. The tub and surround he selected are attractive and of good quality. The installation was perfect. The drywall and flooring were perfectly patched. it is not easy to find a good plumber and we were so lucky to have Jeff come out initially when we had a water main leak. Shaffer Plumbing is an outstanding outfit. I've had them out a number of times, and every time they came they were professional, efficient, and, most importantly, honest. One time I was trying to track down a leak that I feared was a slab leak. I had three different plumbers out, including Shaffer, to try and detect the leak. The two other plumbers told me that they had detected a leak inside the house and told me I needed a re-pipe. Shaffer told me there was no leak inside the house and told me instead to look at the outdoor piping. It turns out that was exactly where the leak was. A toilet needed to be replaced and there was a leak under the kitchen sink. The toilet was replaced on the first visit and the sink, due to complexity, was rescheduled for few days later and the second visit was as smooth as the first.
