I called Eric in the mid-afternoon of 11 February when we noticed a quicky growing hole in the downstairs bathroomn. He came within two hours, and diagnosed it very quickly, as a leak through our rather old plumbing and from having used a plunger a bit aggressively. Positives: came to the house on time, did not smell of beer, did not bend over and show his ass crack while working, worked fast, was able to communicate in English, and told me I could get free replacement parts for my Pfister and Moen faucets directly from the manufacturer - that was useful information because apparently both of those companies offer free lifetime replacement part warranties and so today I ordered parts (no charge for the parts or for shipping) from both of them online to repair leaking faucets purchased years ago and for which I have no purchase receipts. Negative: charged $189 to replace one cartridge in one bathroom faucet, a two minute job. Would not give a price reduction when asked. So if just on the price issue alone it would be 1 star. read more

I don't tend to write reviews often but will do so when I get very good or very bad service... My wife had found him through the reviews of our fellow Yelpers and so gave him a call. Our problem was a very simple issue that Marc was actually able to assess and solve over the phone. However, given that my hands are best playing video games and not plumbing, we insisted Marc come out to check out the problem anyway. Upon arrival, Marc was very friendly and wore the footsies to keep our place clean. As he said over the phone, the problem was a simple one and within a couple of minutes, he fixed our problem. Also, during that time, he showed the reason for the problem and explained how we can resolve it ourselves next time. It was sooo easy that Marc didn't even charge us (now don't go expecting him to give you free service for a simple fix). I could see most plumbers charging us a service call and then a hour of labor for two minutes of work. This is another reason that separates Marc from most others. I then asked him about installing a new kitchen faucet and he gave me a couple of pointers as well as an adapter for one of the supply hoses without asking for anything in return. We found our reliable, honest go-to mechanics through Yelp and we just found our reliable, honest go-to plumber now. So , when was the last time you called a plumber who was a stranger to you and when he left, you felt like you'd made a very good friend? Me either - until today. My guest bathroom shower control was "frozen" - which didn't really affect me personally until I realized that next month I would be having a guest who would expect to be able to actually use it. From Yelp reviews, I found Marc. He arrived on time and he's just the nicest guy. He assessed the problem and told me that a new valve was needed. BUT, the old valve was ancient and if he couldn't dislodge it from it's resting place, the cost to replace it would be much, much higher because he would then be entering into the world of pipe replacement.
