I like to break it down into two sections: the upper and lower ends of the park which is "separated" by a small slope on the field. The upper end has a playground and during school hours, you can see kids from the Our Lady of the Snows School play during recess or doing PE activities. During the summer, you'll frequently see families and soccer games on both sides of the fields. Whenever the park is empty, you can usually find dogs and their owners enjoying the afternoon or evening. From what I learned, this park is supposed to be an on-leash park, but most of the time you'll see friendly dogs running around off leash playing catch. From our house the park is only minutes away so we take our dog here many times on the lower end to play fetch. The locals kept us aware that occasionally park officials would stop by, to which they would put their dogs back on their leashes and the park officials won't bother them. The park officials aren't too stern on the "on leash" rules but will approach you if you don't have them on when they arrive. In a nutshell this park is lovely place to meet well behaved dogs and friendly owners. You can also enjoy community volleyball games or take your kids to the playground.

There are a few picnic tables at the park. None of them have a gazebo to block the sun. There isn't a large grassy area to play sports on. The playground is fun and unique. The playground equipment is in good condition. There is soft padding underneath the playground. There are no swings at this park. There is a parking area to park in. Outside of the homeless people there is one other safety concern. There is a road which leads to the south end of the playground. I could easily see a car driving too fast on this road and ending up driving into the playground. I wouldn't recommend bringing your children to this park until the city kicks the homeless people out of it. Be safe out there. -Dadzone
