I'm giving this Northvalley waterpark a five star. For being a small water park, it is fun and adventurous for children of all ages. Even though there's no large slide like wild island it gets the job done for what it's purpose is. The admission is fair for the waterpark. It is three dollars a person for children and adults. They have small shady areas for people who like shade. If you want a shady Area my best advice is to get here early. I've been here a few times now and I have not seen this waterpark overly crowded to where children cannot play. I really like how they reuse the water. There's a time in the day that it stops for about five minutes to recycle and sanitize. Waste not want not!!! If you have never been to the North Valley water park you should take the time and go check it out!

Review Highlights - North Valleys Regional Park

This is one of the nicest children's parks in the area year round, but especially for the splash park that is open in the summer months.

It's generally filled with teenagers just taking some time off, either relaxing with friends, playing football or using the small skatepark in the area. The skate park is small and not that well-featured with only one large bowl-shaped structure with a pyramid in the middle as well as a metal rail just above the lip of one edge of the bowl. When it rains it fills with water in some areas in the form of puddles, making some of the park unusuable. Typically, you'll find more people on Razor scooters than on skateboards trying various tricks and having a fun, relaxing time with friends. The park features a swingset, a playground structure with a slide for kids to climb around, a couple small fields, a concrete walking path around it, a bathroom, a non-operational drinking fountain and is adjacent to a little rope climbing structure, pipe through which kids can crawl and the school which has a decent size softball/baseball field and wall ball courts. There's another playground on the other side of the school, but it feels cut off by the school building from the leisure area of the park/east school grounds. You'll also find parents with kids and dog owners walking their dogs. From what I've observed it seems like a safe place for teenagers to blow off some steam and for parents to take their kids. There's also a dirt walking path around the western edge of the school and a dirt path that goes up into the Stead neighborhood starting on the other side of the fence of the east side of the park. In the middle of the park is a covered sitting area with a few metal picnic benches. Good views of Peavine and to the north from the park including of the (currently filled) flat area just north of Moya across from the park. I travel here with clients often and it's always clean and I've encountered no problems of any sort.

I love to take my daughter here to blow off steam while waiting to pick up my son from school. There is well maintained play structures, plenty of grass to run and roll on and even a small skate park area. If there were anything wrong with this park it would be that after the middle and high schools let out in the afternoon it tends to fill up with teenagers who can sometimes come across as menacing. I have seen several fights break out here, but usually a call to the school helps to quell that. There is also a small water feature that is available during the warmer months that kids love to run through to cool off. Bathrooms are available and are your standard park-style facilities. Not fancy but mostly clean and functional. When a little kid's bladder calls, these will suffice! It's always nice to have a park in the neighborhood and with continued maintenance, it will continue to be a great place to go with the kids.
