We spent countless summer days having picnics and tea parties here when she was younger. She flew her first kite here as well. Flash forward, my youngest makes us play ice cream shop here in the playground. My family and I frequently visit on the weekends with the kids to allow them to expell their energy. This park is huge and well maintained by the city of Sparks. Kudos to you guys for doing so! The playground is the only one that has shade in summer. One reason why I'll always return. The last visit was for a family baby shower this past weekend. It was a perfect evening. I'm looking forward to cooler nights and strolling through leaves soon.

This just may be it!…read more I've had my eye on this park for a few months now and despite numerous efforts, I couldn't get there with my kiddo, until this weekend! The stars aligned and this was our chance, so play we did! The playground has the coolest climbing stuff I've seen including wacky ladders, rock wall type holds, and the coup de gras, the giant rope diamond in the center! There are also great slides and fun stuff to spin around in, plus a lot more. The grounds are kept clean. The parking is so easy. It's virtually brand new. And there are event tennis courts, a gazebo and a walking trail too. This is a great spot! Can't wait to come back!

The park is located next to one of the many Sparks Fire Stations. So if you or your child gets injured, the response time should be very fast. Side note: This park is fantastic. The issue I have with this park is the location. The park is located next to McCarran Blvd. There is a right turn which passes by the park. Cars tend to be driving pretty fast in this area. All it takes is one car to lose control and plow through the chain link fence. Hopefully that never happens but you never know. At least the fire fighters are close by, just in case. The baby had plenty of energy so she enjoyed herself on the playground. The playground was just ok. The 2-5 years old playground was kind of small. It didn't have much to keep my daughter occupied so she kept trying to play on the big kid's playground, which was too hard for her to get on. Although, the boys were happy that there was a basketball court, even though they had to share it with other people since there was only one full court. The park itself is pretty small so there's not much to do. I didn't see any picnic tables or BBQ grills either.
