We've been driving a Kia for 3 years and really liked the car. Upgrading to the Sportage made a lot of sense. We were already familiar with the workings of the Kia brand and were very satisfied with the quality of their cars. It was a pretty easy decision to stay with Kia. The new car purchase experience was very smooth. Our salesperson, Jeffrey Belmonte, was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and took very good care of us during this transaction. He communicated clearly and promptly. Lee Johnson is a good dealership and had treated us well over the years.

The one star is for their MALE service manager, the other one is something else. We negotiated a price, some safety repairs and tire replacements. They try and get you to sign things that are scribbled on a sheet of paper that say as is on a certified preowned vehicle, consult your lawyer about that one. The sales girl, Victoria has horrible follow through but her manager doesn't set the best example so it's almost understandable. We had to return 3 times after they did the bare minimum and LIED about doing repairs they didn't do. Ridiculous, but if you have to go there you may have to get the general manager involved and let them know how poor your experience is. The engine light went off twice, the back bumper was horribly messed up, the female sales manager has HORRIBLE customer service and that's if you can get them to answer the phone. One of the service people didn't give my husband our key back (mine was in the diaper bag) and he tried to tell my husband it was on the counter the whole time.....my husband left the loaner key on the counter, pretty sure it would have been seen. Just a frustrating time and everything we were trying to avoid in a dealership. Don't do it.

I went towards the end of the day just to do a test drive and ended up buying my new Subaru right then and there. The sales person Chris Hawkins, was polite, efficient and very helpful. The finance person, Jose Varga, was likewise polite and went through all of the many forms quickly and efficiently. There were a few misses, but these were most likely because I was there at the very end of the business day for them. For example, my mats for the car were not ready, and I had to come back the next day to get them. No big deal. After reviewing the documents thoroughly at home I realized I was supposed to get a full tank of gas. And I did not. This, again, was probably because we were trying to get this done at the end of the day and their final review of the car department didn't have a chance to do that. When I mentioned this to Jose, he was very apologetic and said that they would reimburse me for the tank of gas that I bought. (and I lost the receipt, but Jose said they would accept a copy of my charge on my credit card, and then he said never mind. He would just send me a check. Wow! ) And to my surprise a few days later, I got a call from them saying that they had missed giving me a rebate that I was entitled to, so they wanted to make sure I got that even though it meant they had to redo all the documents. I expressed interest in buying a fairly expensive accessory and Jose helped arrange that. I need to have regular servicing on my car and they have already helped me set up the appointment for the first service! They have a department that helps you understand your car, because they are so complicated nowadays. You make an appointment, bring your car in and they will go over anything that you need help figuring out. Amazing. I love my Subaru and, given my age, it is doubtful I will ever buy another car. However, if I did, I would go there and get a Subaru. I don't know anyone who looks forward to all the issues that are entailed with buying a new car, and And using your old car as a trade-in, but I felt very comfortable, unstressed, and respected at Eastside Subaru. I highly recommend this company.

The service advisor told me the warranty only applies to the original owner--it's not transferable. Not true! The warranty booklet clearly states that all 2024 Subaru warranties apply to "Every owner of the vehicle during the warranty period", and recommends that subsequent owners register with Subaru (which I did when I bought the car). This is basic information every service advisor should know. This dealer wanted me to pay for something that's covered by warranty. Not good.

He was fun to work with and made us feel comfortable and at ease right from the start. I would be happy to work with him again! As I think must be an industry standard now, the finance guy at the end did try to slip some expensive warranties in before I signed paperwork, as if I wouldn't notice the monthly payment was $140 higher than I had been shown in the other room. This really rubbed me the wrong way, but I think all dealerships must do this now. In the end, I repelled all those and got an outstanding deal on a nice vehicle, and had an excellent salesman...so the dealership gets an overall positive rating, and I would be happy to do business there again, just with the one cautionary reminder.

I have a new Hyundai and it comes with free oil changes . GREAT. First oil change was fine, though I do find their scheduling wonky as it took 3 hours. FOR AN OIL CHANGE. but whatever. it was free. Second time coming in, my appointment time was at 8:15 on a Saturday. I got there at 8:10. waited just to check in over 20 minutes. It was busy. One guy was too busy drinking his iced coffee and ignoring people to bother checking us in. Letting it go. We checked in, the person who checked us in was very kind. but we told him we were not going to wait. We would go get breakfast. Assumed he would call us or alert us when my car was ready. So we wandered around. After what we thought was enough time, we went back. just to find out, my car was in fact done, and nobody bothered to tell us. Something has changed from the last time, as I did not get a survey. and I would have told them what I think. this was horrible service, not to mention that it took over a month to just get in for my free oil change. I guess you get what you pay for. This place has gone way downhill and I sincerely hope they can figure it out. That is the only way I will go back. Otherwise I will find another Hyundia Dealership I guess. To his credit, the manager did say he is new and trying to fix the issues, and I sincerely hope he does and wish him the best of luck!
