Shanu meat and veggies
Doan L.

We had a craving for something on the lighter fare after several days of heavy eating in Las Vegas and Shabu Shabu came to mind. We headed to China town around 8pm and there was no wait. We got seated right way. It's AYCE, which is not the main thing we were looking for as quality means more to us than quantity. It was nice to have everything in the menu for one price, including appetizers and rolls, though. There were five types of broth to choose from. I went with the original house broth and added Yuzu sauce to it. There were eight kinds of meat which were all very tasty. The difference here is that there is a veggie and condiment bar that you can choose from to customize your soup. The goodies you can add ranged from bok choy, spinach, mushrooms, raw eggs, tofu, shrimp, squid, several kinds of noodles (ramen, udon, vermicelli, egg) that can be used to enrich your soup. We will be adding this to our must visit list when in Vegas!

Swai!

Morgan had come out here a couple months ago, and we were looking for something cozy to eat on a rainy day, so we popped over to Shabuya for hot pot! Such great value! The luch special was $25, and we had SO much food! The House broth and Sukiyaki broth are divine. Super flavorful. We opted for Swai, noodles, lots of veggies, and a couple of the meat options. Everything was delicious! The restaurant is clean, and I really appreciate how we both had our own pots and controls for heat. The tuna crunch handrails were amazing, and we liked the flavors of the karaage. One piece was slightly undercooked, which is the reason for the docked star. Service was polite and quick We will absolutely be coming back!

I didn't get to go a couple weeks ago for chinese new year because the wait was too long for a family of 10. So I'm glad I got to try it recently with just my husband and I. We were doing some work across the way and there was only a 10 minute wait when we decided to join the waitlist. We're glad we didn't have to wait long at all on a Tuesday night. First of all, our waiter was amazing. He was super friendly and gave us all his recommendations. We were chatting with him in between while he continued to take care of everyone else, and he always had a bright and genuine smile. I forgot his name but I remember on our receipt he had a name on the longer side lol. Anyway, I mixed the tongkotsu and miso soup, and it was such a great idea.. sweet and a little creamy at the same time. The hot pot was always boiling, and the recommendations were all on point. I loved the Prime flat iron steak and wagyu sirloin tip the most. Sushi was delicious too. We got the baked Alaskan, Spicy tuna with krab and crunch flakes hand roll. Size of the place was great, super new and clean, plenty of space for smaller to large groups. I've been talking to everyone about this place, and can't wait to go back and try more.

Went there with family. It was my first time doing Hot Pot and it wasn't really for me. To be fair, to each their own, and it would be unfair to give the business less than 5 stars. We were a large party. The employees did an amazing job of taking care of us. They were very attentive, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. For that it was our first time, they really took the time to help us through the process. From what I tasted. The food was all fresh, and depending on your palate, tasted good. If you like this kind of experience. I highly recommend this business.

We love this place! Best hot pot in town for sure! We've tried several other hot pots but we always come back to this one. I always get tonkatsu for my broth and add garlic, cilantro, green onion, and a bit of spice. Always comes out perfect! It's a buffet selection so you're able to pick whatever you want in your broth at your own pace. Since it is a buffet, it can get a little messy sometimes. Staff is not quick enough to wipe it down to make it look nice and clean. One ridiculous thing is their last call. It's never consistent. On the weekend they close at 11pm, but last call is 10:15pm when it used to be 10:30pm. Why even say you're open till 11pm?

I love this place! We've gone to other ones but this one is the best the buffet of vegetables & seafood they have that you can add to your mini hot pot is the best! Service is fast & the bring all the apps quick! Ambiance is great clean def no complaints & we will continue going!

The food and service was amazing! I loved the soup broth, meat, and hand rolls that we got! It was a clean environment and a good ambiance! Our server Kevin (Tamago) was a really good server!

Shabuya combines two of my favorite things under one roof: sushi and hot pot. Is it gimmicky? Yes. Is it fun? Also yes. And the best part? It's unlimited. The interior is spacious, modern and clean. Everything is centered around the self-serve buffet in the middle and the bathrooms are spotless. The tall ceilings make for good ventilation and each seat has its own hot plate. Service and prices are typical, but expect to pay $30+ a person. The buffet is a self-serve medley of of vegetables, carbs, dumplings, and seafood. There is a station for making custom sauces. On the seafood front, they have a number of items that are worth getting including large (to peel) shrimp, oysters, crabs, mussels, and various kinds of pre-cut fish. Meat favorites include their prime flat iron steak, prime cross rib, beef, toro, premium ribeye, and Australian lamb. They also have chicken thigh as well as pork belly, and the tonkotsu/original house broth are my go-tos. There is also selection of appetizers (i.e. "izakaya") that include fish fillet tempura, takoyaki, chicken gyoza, spicy tuna crispy rice, potato croquette, and a series of fried chicken (karaage) that come in soy glaze and spicy (volcano). The carpaccio is limited to one per table, so I would recommend just ordering all of them. They include tuna, albacore, spicy albacore, seared garlic, tuna, and salmon. There is also a selection of specialty rolls, that are sure to please the Americanized palate. Think Philadelphia, California roll red dragon Alaskan roll, and even the sumo roll. During peak hours, the waits can be long. Do yourself a favor and sign up through Yelp Waitlist (Guest Manager) on the app and roll in when your table is ready. Come hungry and being in a group is always going to be way more fun.

My goodness is the food delicious here. Lots of meat, broth and veggies to choose from. It's well priced as well for all you can eat. Service was great and the waiter and host were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and well kept too. There's lots of parking as it's in a strip mall. I would definitely get on the waiting list if you want to do dinner cause it was pretty busy when we dined in for a lunch on a random Thursday.

It was our second night in Vegas, and after a full day of casino fun, everyone was craving something hot and comforting. We initially considered The Noodles at the Bellagio, but the estimated wait time was over two hours. Instead, we decided to head to Chinatown and found that Shabuya would satisfy everyone's cravings. At around 5:30pm, I placed a reservation just as we got into the car. To our surprise, we received a notification that our table was ready within just 2-3 minutes. Since we were about 10 minutes away, the timing worked out perfectly. When we arrived, we were seated right away and handed menus promptly. I immediately noticed the pricing was slightly cheaper here in Vegas compared to the Los Angeles Shabuya -- $28.99 versus $29.99. We had a party of four, two of whom had never been to Shabuya before, and they were pleasantly surprised by both the variety and the value. Each person gets to choose their own broth, plus access to a wide range of izakaya-style items and buffet selections. We chose the following broths: * 2× Tonkotsu * Spicy Miso * Original House We also added a Salmon Roll to share as an appetizer. For meats, we started with: Prime Cross Rib -- Great: Tender and flavorful, especially if you avoid overcooking it. Wagyu Sirloin Tip -- Excellent: Extremely tender and rich, requiring just a few quick dips in the broth. It melts in your mouth while still delivering a deep, beefy flavor. Prime Flat Iron Steak -- Good: Nicely tender with a solid texture, perfect for those who like a slightly firmer bite. Australian Lamb -- Good: Tender with a mild flavor; the lamb aroma wasn't overpowering, making it enjoyable even for those sensitive to lamb's natural scent. We enjoyed these cuts so much that we ended up reordering the same meats. For seafood, noodles, tofu, and vegetables, we helped ourselves to the buffet station, which offered plenty of fresh options. My favorite dipping sauce combination was a generous mix of mashed radish, green onions, and cilantro topped with ponzu -- bright, refreshing, and perfect with the rich meats. Service throughout the meal was excellent: attentive, quick, and friendly. Overall, Shabuya delivered a satisfying and cozy dinner experience. We'll definitely be returning on future Vegas trips.

It was our first time at Shabuya and we loved it! The menu has a wide variety of options to cater to most palettes. We loved the self served veggie and sauce bar, the attentive servers, the ease of ordering, and the delicious food! It was less than $30 for all you can eat and we were so pleased! My husband and kid loved that the sushi rolls were part of the all you can eat, everything was so tasty. My fave was the tonkotsu broth and my kiddo loved their house broth. Hubby liked the miso broth. We can't wait to go back!

I always come to Shabuya when I'm in town. However, it was a disappointment coming back. We came around 5pm to avoid the crowd. We got seated immediately. Our server was not attentive. When we wanted to order more food, we had to chase her down or ask another server to tell her to come. We didn't give her the tips that she deserved and she gave us an attitude. For that reason, I won't come back again when I'm in town again. There are other choices out there. Food was still decent, still many options at the buffet bar. The bar was clean. However, the broth was very bland and meat was way too thin.

Shabuya is a pretty cool place to throw down some hot pot! We had zero problems with service as it was excellent, great self serve island so that you can get as many sauces, noodles, veggies as you want, and very clean as well. Don't remember what this place was before , but the booths are nice, the bar is inviting, and the restrooms are fine. What did we love? How about $58 for both of us to eat enough food to induce a meat coma. Also alcohol is buy 1 get 1 free. Lots of competitions in this space, but the meat was good and kept on coming so I can't knock this place that's half the price of another down the street.

Customer service was on point from start to finish, and every dish came out fresh and hot. We ordered a variety of items off the menu and were honestly impressed across the board. The gyoza ($6) was perfectly pan-fried with a great crispy bottom, and the filling was packed with flavor. The dipping sauce had just the right hint of spice to bring it all together. The takoyaki ($6) were hands down some of the best we've had at any restaurant. Super crispy on the outside, and when you bite in, the inside just melts and oozes out, so good and full of flavor. The squid leg karaage ($10) was a great starter. Squeezing fresh lemon over it and dipping it in the mayo and spicy sauce combo made it even better. Definitely recommend this one. We were especially excited about the soft shell crab ($9) since it's hard to find it served on its own. It did not disappoint... perfect crunch, great flavor, and the dipping sauce really elevated it. The tonkatsu curry ($13) was a standout. The jasmine rice was cooked perfectly, the curry had rich flavor with tender carrots throughout, and the katsu was fried to perfection... crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Easily a 10/10 dish. The curry udon ($9) is perfect if you're craving something comforting...just curry and noodles done right. The udon ($8) had a flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles, simple but executed really well. The crazy dragon roll ($13) was definitely a highlight. The amount of eel on top was impressive, and the roll itself was a great size. Everything from the rice to the flavor balance was spot on. Every dish that came out had us smiling, we genuinely enjoyed everything we tried. Highly recommend this spot, and we'll definitely be back again soon!

I don't think they are usually this busy though, as they were definitely understaffed that evening. Service was consistent throughout the night, and the servers were cheerful and doing their best to take care of everyone. The restaurants design is very relaxed, with some optional bar seating to watch the chefs cook and roast the skewers, with additional options for booths. After 10 PM, they offer a happy hour special with $5 hand rolls, cheap drinks, and basically half off of all their skewers, potatoes, and small bites. On the particular evening that we went, either they were extra busy and had too much customers from CES... but they ran out of sushi rice and did not have any hand rolls....How does a Japanese restaurant run out of rice??? We were super disappointed and ended up just getting skewers. Itzakaya Tora, you definitely need to step up your game and have better management in the future for these big events. I don't think they are that new of a restaurant, but they definitely let me down. Chicken and pork skewers ($2 per skewer, 7/10) - super juicy! You can definitely taste the charcoal and barbecue flavor. They do a great job of keeping each skewer, moist and juicy, that I didn't feel like I was eating burnt skewers like you get at some other restaurants. - $2 per skewer is pretty good for the happy hour deal, but I think it's much more expensive during the regular menu option. Don't think it would be particularly worth it with their regular menu. Overall, super disappointed that they didn't have any more of their sushi, rice and best do not have any $5 hand rolls during their happy hour. Also, the wait was super long to get in, and they were definitely understaffed. If they had all their food selections available, this would probably be a higher rating, but the long weight and lack of menu items was super disappointing.

It has a warm ambient glow that makes the whole place feel intimate, but noise levels can be a bit high due to the close proximity of the tables and lack of noise buffer. Their drink menu is also creative, with unique cocktails and seasonal specials worth exploring. We tried a bunch of different food items: Takoyaki balls: the BEST balls ever! And that's saying a lot because we've been to Japan ! Takoyaki itself is a classic Osaka street food, traditionally made with diced octopus in a savory batter cooked in molded griddles. Here at Hachi, these takoyaki balls are crispy on the outside with a soft center, sitting abed a rich mayo-based sauce. What makes these stand out is the contrast with the balls of delicious and, instead of a fully liquid sauce, there are small chunks of cream cheese blended in, so you have bites of that with the battered balls! Agedashi Tofu: Lightly fried tofu served in a delicate dashi broth. The exterior is soft with a bit of crisp, while the inside stays silky and custard-like. The broth is clean and, if I dare say, savory but light. Basically a punch of umami and extremely balanced! Karaage: They are known for their chicken karaage, and it absolutely delivers. The chicken lightly coated and fried until golden and crisp while staying incredibly juicy inside. Each bite has a satisfying crunch followed by tender, flavorful meat! I highly recommend pairing it with the negi sauce, which delivers a a tangy vinegar-based scallion sauce that cuts through the fat and oils, and it deeply enhances the flavor of the chicken. Yakitori Skewers: Yakitori is a traditional Japanese grilling style where small skewers of meat are cooked over charcoal. The focus is on simple flavors utilizing high-quality ingredients. We tried a mix of skewers, which comes with a slice of lemon on top to be squeezed over the skewers: * Wagyu skewers: rich, buttery, and cooked to perfection * Beef tongue: more chewy and textured, so not a huge fan of it * Chicken skin: ultra crispy with rendered fat and a satisfying crunch * Pork belly with green onions: fatty, smoky, and balanced by the freshness of scallions We also ordered a fresh scallop skewer, grilled shrimp with tartar sauce, and eel. The scallops were sweet and tender with 3 pieces per skewer. The shrimp was cooked and de-shelled and served with a tartar sauce. The eel was the most memorable with its rich, tender, and deeply savory taste. Eel (unagi) is considered a delicacy in Japanese cuisine where it's known for its sweet glaze and soft texture. Our favorites were definitely the eel and scallop skewers.

Chef Shuji runs the restaurant with his wife next to him in the kitchen. The fish here is flown in from Japan and of the highest quality as you can see from the sheen and fat marbling. The tuna melts in your mouth and bite after bite is a wonderful experience as you pair it with soy sauce, fresh Wasabi, yuzu Wasabi, or some combination of the condiments provided. This is also the first sushi restaurant I have ever been to that automatically brings out fresh Wasabi without having to ask. The portions are generous and we left feeling very satisfied. Even though we were very full, we took a look at the dessert menu. Not pictured here is a sweet potato with ice cream and brown sugar glaze. This dish on the menu was unassuming but the taste was so decadent. Quite possibly the best and sweetest sweet potato I have ever tasted. The chef slowly roasts them over a 2 hour period, rotating the potatoes every so slightly every 15 minutes. The sweet potato could be a dessert by itself, it was that good! Chef Shuji is a charming and funny host. He regularly comes out to greet his customers and makes sure they are enjoying their meal, very high-touch. If you know Japanese - even if it's just a few phrases, speak with him as he will be delighted. He was absolutely tickled when we said arigato and he shared that he is originally from Kyoto. Cannot wait to return to Shigotonin!

**Overall: 4.75 Stars**…read more Imagine omakase but with a show. That's what you get here at Kyara Sake Bar. I went to Kyara on a date, but it wasn't the quiet or romantic kind of place I thought it'd be. Kyara had great service but they visit you every few minutes and explain things before each dish and they may cook something in front of you or show you the fish (like the actual real whole fish from the same catch you'd be eating)! When we were about to be served the wagyu beef dish, we were shown the certificate and our server explained all about the cow. I felt like I knew all about Bertha and joked that we just went through her photo album and yearbook. Like how was I supposed to eat Bertha now?!! Aiyahhhhh. Kyara may not be the romantic type of restaurant, but it was more memorable and more of an experience! It had may "wow" moments.

If you're looking for a Omakase intimate setting, this place is it. We arrived at 830ish- no wait…read moreand were greeted and seated by a friendly young man. We had a choice for bar or table and we chose table. It was tucked in a corner so it felt intimate for me and husband. Menu was filled with some of our faves and some new things we never tried. Skewers were great esp the Wagyu- it was so good and tender. We enjoyed the agadashi tofu with was one of our faves here. Food was overall delicious and you can taste the freshness of the fish. We def want to come back and experience their dinner specials. Definitely a place to try if you're in the area
