Stopped by on Friday, 01/16/26 to celebrate my boyfriend's early birthday and before my Asia Vacation trip the next day! This is my second time trying out Shabuya and my first time at this particular location. My boyfriend has been here numerous times and told me that this place was closed for a while and now they are back in business! $32.99 per person (after 3pm, weekends, and holidays). Also got one fountain drink for $2.99 and a draft beer (Modelo) for $8.99 with tax and $10 tip, the total cost was $92.85. I personally feel like this is worth the money because there are tons and tons of seafood options and mushrooms too! Next time, I would definitely take advantage by stopping by Monday-Friday from 11:30am-3pm for just $25.99 per person!

1st time here! Tons of selection on veggies, meats, seafood and dipping sauce. The broth was amazing and their sesame sauce was so good. I dipped all my veggies and meat in it. Service was awesome.

Solid spot for AYCE hotpot, been coming here on occasions here n there over the years. It's now $32.99 for AYCE dinner on weekdays and weekends which is decently affordable. Restaurant is pretty clean and very spacious. Tables are pretty big on the side and in the middle are table and chair type seating while the sides are one big table and sofa type seats. The meat selection for AYCE is sizeable, you can order 4 plates at a time, and they come out pretty quick. Soup base options are plentiful as well, but I opted for the original house special, but there are plenty of options as well. Since each person has their own pot, the options are endless. I particularly enjoy the fact that you can pace yourself as you go. Love the ramen noodle options here, fish balls, and veggies as well. Everything else is pretty standard compared to other AYCE hotpot spots. Overall, a pretty standard hotpot restaurant, pretty standard in food selections, price, and vibe overall. I'd say this is a decent spot for group hangouts, nothing stands out but also nothing to complain. Decent price for decent food.

I was meeting up with my buddy and fellow Yelper Ryan L. and Shabuya was a spot where he could eat well and I can eat healthy. Regular Pricing after 3pm, weekends, and holidays are $33.99/person. For all of those who are not familiar with Shabuya. This is an all you can eat shabu restaurant. Each diner gets an individual hot pot with a soup base of their choice between original house soup, miso soup, tonkotsu pork soup, huo guo soup, sukiyaki soup, and vegetarian soup. You are able to order meats from the staff, including prime chuck tender, angus beef brisket, prime beef belly, us wagyu sirloin tip, angus top blade, natural pork belly, natural pork collar, free range chicken, and lamb. They have a buffet area that is self-serve with plenty of vegetables, seafood, noodles, popular accompaniments of hot pot, and a sauce bar. Staff was really friendly and attentive. They came throughout the night to ask us if we wanted more meats. They also have a great layout where even though it was busy, it didn't feel crowded. There was even TVs throughout the restaurants for the sports fans. I really enjoyed my meal here and wouldn't mind coming back.

I stopped by Shabuya for a late night dinner and was able to waitlist on Yelp easily. The menu is individual pot AYCE - you're able to mix broths or just choose a single one. Ordering was a little confusing. For my visit it appeared that you order everything but meat with the staff (no dedicated staff for your table) and order on your phone through a QR code for the meat. Meat came out relatively quickly and was good quality. There was a self serve area for veggies, sauces, and seafood. The appetizers were also pretty good.

This place will hit the spot for your soup / meat cravings. Pick your broth soup base, choose your appetizers, then order your meat selection 4 at a time. Then grab a plate and load it up with the tons of selections to cook in your broth! Don't forget to make your sauce at the sauce station and if you want rice they have it there too. Drinks are separate from AYCE price. They have a young staff and they are quick with their service and the place has tvs when we went they were playing College Football Playoffs. They play good music so the vibes are flowing while having a good meal.

We visited their Vegas location recently and couldn't stop thinking about the deliciousness of Shabuya. So when we discovered there is a location near us in Alhambra, we made the drive to check it out! We loved the concept of the veggie and sauce bar and ordering the meats off the menu. My daughter and I came in on a random Monday and were promptly seated. The restaurant was busy for a Monday! Very good sign. We were very disappointed to see that they didn't have various items on their menu that we loved in the Vegas location. The only appetizers they offered at this location was chicken karage, fried potstickers, sesame balls, and veggie spring rolls. In Vegas they offered several amazing sushi rolls, potato patty and others. Unfortunately this location had "sold out" of their karage and that's not ok. It was after asking three separate servers where our karage order was that finally one said they sold out. For meats we ordered the wagyu beef, pork shoulder, and regular beef. They came out promptly. The self serve bar had steamed rice, tons of seafood, endless veggies, noodles, eggs, dumplings you name it for the broth. Overall it was a good experience.

Shabuya Alhambra was a great experience! The space is huge and has tons of seating and tables inside. I would say it's 2-3 times bigger than the OG location in k-town, and the wait is much shorter. Staff is quick and efficient here. We didn't wait very long for anything and were also allowed to order many meats up front. The induction stoves here are individual vs the shared split pot you get at the older location. I prefer this because the soup seems to heat up faster w a personal bowl. Overall we loved our dining experience and will choose this location over the Ktown location any day!

Great AYCE Hotpot Spot! Has a self-service vegetable, seafood, fish ball, multiple types of noodles to choose. Great selection, the only thing you'd wish for is a bigger plate to keep stacking more toppings to add in the hotpot! Only downside was when attempting to grab from the buffet bar, some items in the farther back were hard to reach even with the tongs . I didn't feel like pressing my face against the glass, so I opted for another topping instead ): Other than that, vegetables were very fresh and a great addition to my flavorful pot! Large selection of sauces too & the buffet area was very spacious. This place has plenty of seating and a clean interior. Seems like a good place for larger parties too! Meat quality was decent. Note you can only order 4 meats at a time in every order for a party of 2! Each plate comes thinly sliced pieces of meat, it was very quick to grab and because it came out 6 pieces of meat at a time I wasn't worried about it spoiling either! Parking Details: Plaza parking available! Plenty of spots but I anticipate the lot to be quite busy on weekends I

FYI they are reopen now and 25% off till Friday, with free soft drinks. It's their soft opening so things were a little bit figuring stuff out but overall a solid AYCE place. You can't get half orders of meats since they are predone so it might be good to go in a group to try all the things and not be completely stuffed. It's nice and clean and easy to order. Check it out this week!

Lyn P.

Came here with family since they remodel it, didn't anything different. We got sat down right away, they weren't busy. Food here is very good and vegetables and seafood and meat looks fresh. The only down side is the guy we had he pour broth in the bowl of soup, he pour it and it splash all over the place, unprofessional and not good experience with pouring broth in the bowl, common sense and thats bad. This place you choose your broth and they bring out for you and you cook it yourself in your own bowl, you would have to get your veggie, seafood, and your sauce you can added to your dipping. There's so many to choose from. Will be back when im in town. Its all you can eat. Ambience here has alot of both tables and it can get really crowded after 7pm and its a long wait.

Vanna T.

Glad to see they're finally reopened. Can't say it changed much except you have to place the order for the hot appetizers now instead of grabbing it yourself. Service wasn't that great. Seems like they were short staffed or so. There were a lot of dirty plates piled up and no one to take them away. Meats arrived pretty quickly tho. The broth weren't as good. This was sorta disappointing for us.

4 order of meat at a time

Lunch price (11:30am-3pm) was $25.99. Dinner price was 32.99. Came Friday night for the soft opening (20% off) at 7pm. Put our party of 3 on their Yelp waiting list at 7:03pm. The estimated wait time was 107-137 minutes. Instructed to return at 8:55pm. Walked around the plaza before returning to restaurant at 8:30pm. FYI US Supermarket closed at 8pm. The host said he thinks they close at 10:30pm. We were thinking that works out since they limit 90minutes of eating and were estimated to be seated at 9pm. A new host arrived around 8:45pm. Took her a minute to figure out what's going on. We never got the text at 8:55pm so we asked her what's going on at 9:05pm. She said we should've checked in at 8:55pm... We hung around until we finally got the text and got seated at 9:15pm. We wait 2 hours and 15 minutes to get seated. It was hard to get service. When we did, were allocated 4 meat order per table. We were informed last call was 9:30pm. Are you fking kidding! We were allowed to ordered as many meat as we wanted so that's what we did. They didn't announce what meat was what so we're not sure what's good. We kept asking for water, but it never came. We had to ask multiple waiters for more napkins and soup. The "salad" bar was not good. They had basic vegetables like corn, bok choy, mushrooms, and lettuce. They also had chicken eggs, small clams, small mussels, shrimp, and tofu. Some of the trays were empty. We were sad there was no quail eggs. They allowed us to eat until 11:15pm before kicking us out. We did get the 20% off but would not return again. The wait was horrible. The service was horrible. The "salad" bar was weak. The soup was too salty at the end.

Disclaimer first, i'm a huge fan of chinese style hotpot. Luckily all that shabu offers a selection of broth and sauces. They are true japanese style, so don't expect mala here, even the chili oil is a bit hidden on containers a bit away from the sauce bar. I tried the spicy beef broth, it has miso flavor and slightly tangy undertone. It has heat, but not spicy at all. The spicy pine sauce and wasabi ponzu (the best!) fulfills my search for heat in this place. All the sauces (except sesame sauce) has acidity/tangyness in it. The meat are good quality and very thin so it's ready in just a few dips. The brisket is fatty, and it's my favorite but only at this place thanks to the acidic profile that cuts through the rich fats. The short plate is very thin and tender, the flat iron steak is more lean. The chuck eye is kinda the middle ground. Unfortunately lamb only served as dinner menu. The vegetable and mushrooms bar have adequate variety, but they only have two kinds of tofu which is soft tofu and fried tofu pockets. No beancurds/tofu skin. They have more selection in seafood though. There's ice cream, soda fountain, green tea and black tea, and even buffet food like fried rice and wonton etc. Overall it's a well-priced hotpot for good quality ingredients, with japanese style broths. And the best thing is they accepts solo diners.

I tried it again with my friend the other day because we were in the area. I thought it was just okay and probably wouldn't come back here specifically because there's just a lot of better places, but this isn't bad at all for the price. The inside was huge and dimly lit, and they had a large self serve bar for hot sides, drinks, hot pot toppings like veggies and seafood, sauces, and dessert. It was a great vibe! There's a pretty large variety of broths to pick from which is nice. We both got the spicy beef, which tasted rich and tomatoey so it was different than a typical beef bone broth that I expected! It was nice because the acidity helped to balance with the richness of the meats. Of all the meats, our favorites were the brisket and the beef short plate. Personally I like to know which meats are which but sometimes when I asked, the servers couldn't really tell them apart so it kinda sucked because I wanted to know which ones I actually liked to order more of those. They were quick with taking our orders though and meats came out really quick. For hot sides, they had a large variety of things, such as fried rice, crab, crispy fried chicken, kimchi, and more. I liked that there was variety! I just think that overall, the experience didn't wow me as much as it did back then, but definitely cheaper than most places and so you get what you pay for!

I read reviews which expressed frustration over the service, and I felt like that helped manage my expectations. I know it's a very tough time for restaurants, and I hope they are able to smooth things over soon. We were greeted when entered and we waited a bit to get seated. We were seated at a very large table, which felt funny since it was just three of us. It took some time to get menus. I walked up to grab them, but staff said they would bring it over. Once we ordered, food was quick to come out. Refill requests initially were promptly responded to, but as the first round of customers ended their meals, the service was backed up. It took some time to get refills and the check. Luckily we weren't in a hurry. The menu isn't entirely clear, so we had a couple ordering hiccups. Generally, easy problems to resolve. My family and I enjoyed the food. The vegetables, meat, and sauces tasted good. I really liked their goma dare (sesame sauce), which is my favorite part of shabu shabu. The brown rice portion was substantial, but the rice was reheated and dry. The ramen portion, while tasty was small, like ~1/3 of the rice portion. I personally, like to eat the carb throughout the meal, which means ordering more. The space is large with a lot of hard surfaces. I wouldn't say it is a quiet space--it is good for groups. We also sat closer to the door, so my elder family members were a bit cold while we waited. However, once the burners were going, it didn't feel as cold. The three of us ate for ~90 without tip, which can make sense for folks who don't want to pay $55pp for AYCE dinner. However, I think AYCE lunches at other restaurants during the week are a better value and can have smoother service. Just like many things in this world, my experience isn't black and white. There were things I liked and things that could be improved. I think it's worth a shot for others to try, as long as they can be open minded about the experience and patient.

Other places have passed them by in some respects First there is no sauce bar here. Just four small containers of sauces you can use. Ironically none of those sauces are soy sauce. I wanted more as far as the sauce goes and I thought a sauce bar was pretty standard these days Second there is no AYCE bar with small snacks. Kind of interesting When ordering the meat, I guess they wanted to save a plate so the sliced meats just came in plastic containers. That loses some points with me on presentation Other than that everything is fine. They charge a little less for the broth than a lot of places do, so that's nice Got vegetables, mushrooms, tofu, noodles and a couple of meats. Overall it's a fine experience, mostly Ok to Good. The staff keeps things moving and still manages to stay attentive. But honestly, my favorite part? The snack bar. It's such an underrated highlight. They have a variety of snacks available, and I always end up grabbing extras to take with me for later. It just adds to the whole experience and makes it feel like you're getting more than just a meal. Overall, this spot lives up to the hype. Great food, great energy, and definitely worth the wait.

I should have signed up for the waitlist before I drove over. I came here on a Saturday night and…read moreput my party in the waitlist. We waited less than 20 minutes. The hostess asked for our information to get us to a table more quickly, which I appreciated. The food options are vast! The basic meats are far cheaper than Hai Di Lao. The sauce and snack bar had many options that I couldn't decide how to build the sauce correctly. The soup bases were good. The cost is good for not having to drive to Hai Di Lao and getting basic meats. What's problematic is getting service. The servers are so busy, it's hard to get their attention. It took more than 10 minutes to get the bill and receipt. I would give this place better stars if they had more servers. Hai Di Lao is far more attentive and the tablet is very helpful. Lastly, the restaurant is small so it feels like you're in everyone's way when you're at the sauce bar.
