Wyatt was Amazing!! We needed a water pipe fixed ASAP for one of our customers and Wyatt was there in less than 30 mins and got it done in less than an hour! Both Wyatt and Micah responded promptly and had great customer service. Prices were fair as well. I would definitely recommened to anyone needing plumbing services! read more

They did an excellent job! The young man that came was very polite, great about explaining things. He was respectful of me and my house and made sure that my problem was solved, not just doing a temporary fix. read more

Showered upstairs; caused downstairs toilet overflow. I called Sgt. Smith's based on their rave reviews. Didn't know whether they'd come up to Portland area -- they will! Called on Sunday evening, spoke with a nice woman and asked for a callback in the morning (we stopped the flood.) Plumber (Ian) called us within 10 minutes and came out the next day. We had tree roots blocking the pipe to the street. He cleared it and came back next day with equipment that disintegrated the rest of the roots. Micah (owner) came out also as Ian was fairly new to using this particular machinery. They are both so professional, explained everything ahead of time, answered our questions, cleaned up when they were done and left us very happy! Highly recommend!! read more

We had a bunch of trouble getting anybody to come out and help us with a slow leak, but then we found Sgt. Smiths and thank goodness. They were prompt returning our inquiry and getting out to take a look at our issues. Once onsite, they were able to identify that an entire section of piping was on the verge of failing the same way. They were able to give estimates for various ways we could go about fixing it. I appreciated this transparency. They explained the pros and cons well. It ended up being a two person job done by Andrew and Will. They did quality work on time and as promised. We are very happy with the results and service. Two thumbs up, would use again. read more

What started off as a bit of a disastrous evening turned into an opportunity to meet one of the nicest people I've met in a very long time. We'd had some warning signs of some plumbing issues lately (which my wife took a lot more seriously than I did, and I should have listened!). It came to a bit of a head tonight when toilets were bubbling, water that was "less than clean" started bubbling up into the tubs, and water was leaking out of the outflow pipe in the basement. Not awesome. We made some frantic calls to a number of places. Several just didn't service our area. Multiple said that the soonest they could get somebody out to us was Monday (one said 10 weeks!), and MANY just didn't get back to us. That is, until we came to Micah. Micah not only was willing to come out, after hours on a Friday night, but I genuinely cannot remember the last time I'd met this nice (or interesting) a person. He got us taken care of (THANK YOU AGAIN!), and is already planning to be back on Monday to fix the piece that was leaking. I SERIOUSLY cannot say enough good things about Sgt. Affordable, reasonable Fast, and prompt service if I could I would put more than 5 stars. Highly knowledgeable and kind staff. I felt considered and valued as a person and customer. They were willing to accommodate. Even when I called last minute they were my saving grace when I called many companies that would not complete the job. My bathtub was blocked. My toilet was wobbly and was unable to flush. They solved all these issues within the same day They will and from here on out be the company I call for assistance! I can't  Thank you enough! read more

Saturday, February 4th, the coldest day of the season so far, and hopefully the last one, like tons of other folks, I had frozen pipes. Sgt. Smith van was at my neighbors house. I talked to Cody, who couldn't have been nicer, even though he was cold and tired and his day had just started. I went home and called, again the woman that took my call was awesome and within 20 minutes Andrew called me back. He said they probably couldn't get there until 5:00 p.m but they would get someone out there. At 3 p.m, 2 hours ahead of schedule, Will showed up. Again cold and tired but defrosted the pipes and didn't leave until I felt secure enough that everything was OK. Not only was Will kind and professional but he liked my dogs. I have 3 beagles, they're not for everyone. Highly recommend this company, all 4 folks that I interacted with, under the worst of circumstances, were outstanding. read more

Our toilet was loose with a tiny water leak into the basement. I called late on Friday afternoon & they picked up on the first ring. Jeffrey arrived on Saturday morning, texted when he was on his way, was super friendly/professional, and promptly fixed our bowl! Cleaned up everything when he was done. Pricing was reasonable and owner Micah was upfront about an additional charge for weekend or emergency work. DEFINITELY will be using/recommending these guys again. read more

Turns out our basement problem has been solved! The only plumber I called (I called ten plumbing companies that advertised 24 hours service) who really is 24 hours service came out at 10 pm last night and figured out that our new sump pump had a defective float mechanism. Great guy who used to be an intelligence analyst in the Marines. Hence the name of his company Sargent Smith's Drain Cleaning Services. The owner is Micah Smith. 207-432-9378. Great service and very fair pricing. It turns out the Zoeller pumps you can buy at Home Depot are not as good as the Zoeller pumps a plumber buys at a plumbing supplier that are made entirely of cast iron and have a more reliable float mechanism. Like the way Koehler makes "big box store" Home Depot versions of their bath products that are different and not as good. The float valve on the Zoeller we had in there was defective so it was running every 20 seconds and eventually overheating/ stopping every few hours... flooding our basement... bc it was only running on the backup float which has a very short run cycle. He also put in an alarm alongside the new pump that will alert us with a smoke detector type loud beeping noise if there is an issue with water in the basement. Couldn't be more pleased. read more

Our only toilet was blocked. We called Sgt Smith and the next morning will arrived before 9 o clock on a Friday of 3 day weekend. Will had the problem resolved in a few minutes. I didn't know Mr. Smith until we established a professional relationship. Mr. Smith was extremely responsive and got back to me right away, which was my biggest issue in finding a plumber since June of 2019. His availability was amazing and was able to get to us two days after giving us a VERY fair quote. I found Mr. Smith after months of searching for a plumber who will do both big and small jobs. I am a new homeowner and I am so happy I found a plumber that I will continue to use as anything pops up. Since writing this above review on his Facebook, I have called Sgt. Smith and had me troubleshoot something that I thought was an emergency. He came early the next day to make sure it wasn't something urgent. He is willing to do any job and is very fair and transparent with his quote and rates. This guy rules, I'm so glad he relocated to the area. read more

Called about a clogged main line . On a Thursday afternoon before holiday weekend starting Friday . Everyone from office member who answered call to technician who called me back to schedule to the tech that showed up was very friendly . Jeff showed up a mere couple hours after I called , he was friendly from the get , was sure to rule out other options before deciding I did need a snake and once we determined that, he quickly and thoroughly took care of the problem . I am an electrician by trade and know the value of customer interaction/pride in work and he provided both excellently. Price was fair with market and service was excellent would recommend . read more

Friendly and fast service. Didn't ask for emergency service but called in the morning and was attended to that same day! Everyone was very professional, from the office to scheduling and the plumber who came to our house. Very detail oriented and diligent on completing the job. I hope not to need their drain cleaning services again, but would be my first choice if I do. Services extend beyond just drain cleaning and I am very satisfied with the service provided. They made an unpleasant experience much easier to handle in multiple ways and the cost was very reasonable. Thank you for being an honest and great company. read more

Micah and his dad were extremely accommodating, affordable and professional, contacting us quickly and fitting us in the same day. Where do I begin.... My basement has never had any water issues, my husband has been away for work since June so it has been me trying to deal with this while he is away thousands of miles for work! We have had 3 floods in the past 5 weeks. My husband called Micah and he came right out to look at he issue and had us booked for a pump the very next week!! As bad luck would have it we got water in the basement last Thursday/ Friday, my husband called him told him of this and pushed us up for Tuesday:) Today Andrew came over to get a list of the things he would need for the sump pump, while he was here I showed him my side lawn with all the standing water! He immediately knew it was not normal as it was like a small geyser, asked if he could dig a little without hesitation I said please do! Minutes later I walked outside after calling my husband, and he said" want the good news?" He found the problem as to why my basement was flooding!!!! He found a very clogged drain, and unclogged it! Long story short no sump pump and and unclogged drain which we never knew we had and many dollars saved!!! These guys are a blessing, I have never been so thankful to have honest, dependable people. Andrew was a rockstar today, even told me to call this week if I had any issues after the rain. I will not use anyone other than these guys for drain issues ever again!!!
