If you're looking for some Cuban food in Broward, this restaurant is definitely a spot to go to. You can have breakfast at any time you could have Pastellitos anytime or even a big entrée meal with meat and rice and beans and of course don't forget your coffee (cafecito) The service is kind and helpful. The ambience and the place inside and out is clean, neat and up-to-date with beautiful and nice decorations. read more

If you asked me what is good here. One 5hing comes to mind right away, chicharrones and it is something I always get. They get the skin just right and it's crispy and good. My favorite thing here are 5he chicharrones. The Cuban coffee is great. I sometimes get the Cuban sandwich and always liked it. The restaurant has a window outside that you can order without coming inside. It is convenient for takeout. The customer service is not so good sometimes if you use the window. I feel it takes a little extra to get the attention of the counter person. They are always on a personal conversation. The restaurant has good daily specials. They are always posted at the entrance. It is a local's favorite. The price and food and always good here. read more

Wow! On a recent crowded Sunday morning we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, that was actually quite reasonable. My breakfast included coffee Cuban & toast along with eggs, bacon, and some of the best home fries I've had. The café con leche was so good! Just the way I like it with a hint of sweetness. Señor Café gives coffee shop/bistro vibes. Our server was friendly and patient with me as I practiced my Spanish. One minor thing, though I prefer my bacon a little more crispy, but that is just a personal preference. The price we paid for the quantity and quality of food was unbelievable. Next time we were here, we will definitely be back. read more

Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing prices. You feel like you're in Cuba. Must try cafecito

This is a rating for the service. I cannot rate the food, because I was unable to eat my dinner. I could not eat my dinner because it was delivered with no utensils. Despite the fact that I checked the option to include utensils, and included a note to please be sure and ensure that utensils and napkins were included in the bag since I was in a hotel. Despite that, no utensils or napkins were included. When I called to ask the restaurant about it, they hung up on me. Multiple times. Not just once, not just twice, but multiple times. Maybe the picadillo and moro rice were delicious. Or maybe they were average, or maybe they were awful, I don't know, since you can't really eat picadillo with your fingers. read more

I was very pleased with the ambiance! There is a walk up window to the outside where customers can just order coffee and pastelitos. The menu is extensive with a wide variety of classic Cuban dishes. I went for the breakfast and was happy for the portion sizes at the cost. VERY WELL DONE. It was a pleasant environment- you could feel the love and contentment from the servers at the counter. I placed my order to go, but I observed the patrons and how they were treated. Customer service is EVERYTHING these days and this establishment got it right! I'll definitely be back for more.... Did I mention the food was DELICIOUS?! Spacious seating with exterior natural lighting- it's a really nice place to visit. read more

Señor Cafe - El Don's Breakfast Special- scrambled eggs with ham, home fries, Cuban toast and cafe con leche - Cuban Near Me - Hollywood, Florida

We ordered takeout, ropa vieja, moros and plantanos, and chicharones. The ropa vieja dish and moros was the best I've had in a long time, maybe ever. The quality of food was generous. The chicharones were more like pork chunks. I didn't enjoy as much. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5. Definitely go. My new go to. Now I have to try some of my favorite dishes like vaca frita. read more

Went here for a late lunch. The inside was clean but the Service was ok, nothing special. It may be because it was around 2 in the afternoon. I had a Cuban Sandwich, it was very good. My wife had a Quesadilla, which was ok. I would give this place another try next time I'm in town. read more

Stay AWAY I am not surprised to see their low scoring Such a shame of a place Listen to this scam- They have a big machine of "Fresh Orange Juice" but it is only for decoration, one you order they go out of sigh and pour into your cup the cheapest most disgusting chemical like yellow liquid. I was picking my mom from the airport and wanted to give her fresh o.j after the long trip, she almost spitted it out, and when I tried it I was shocked. How gross. Mind you they charge almost 7$ and put it in a tiny Capuucino cup, it made no sense, so I paid more and got the large which was still very small and not served in a juice cup. What an AWFUL place I hope they go out of business. read more

Really nothing bad to say about this solid Latin alternative to Denny's or IHOP right here in the neighborhood. It's a reliable, no-fuss spot that delivers exactly what you want--comfort food with a tropical twist. The layout is very Calle Ocho, with the main restaurant on one side and a charming little walk-up coffee window--ventanita--on the other, which adds a lot of local flair. Inside, you're greeted by large, vibrant photos of Caribbean landscapes that transport you even warmer, beachier vibes, while the east-facing glass wall gives you a front-row seat to the hustle and bustle of US1. It's a fun contrast that somehow works. The food? Definitely above average, especially for the price point. The shrimp omelet is a sleeper hit, and their classic chicken soup is pure comfort in a bowl--like my Noni used to make. Everything comes out impressively fast, and that signature Cuban toast they bring out as a side is perfectly crisp and buttery, and a very nice touch. Service has always been attentive and welcoming, with staff who make sure you're taken care of without hovering. I can't personally vouch for the fake "fresh-squeezed OJ" claim that some have questioned, but I'll be sure to put it to the test next time I swing by. read more

Hello...I love the Senor Cafe for both Breakfast & Lunch a 5 Star experience. I have not tried Dinner as of yet but looking forward too. This wonderful business is a great local community eatery that you need to visit. You can enjoy Breakfast as early as 6:00am. I had the "El Don's Special" also comes with Cuban or American Coffee and Cuban Toast or American Toast Ohh La La! Excellent Food, Hot, Tasty, and Plentiful. Great for one quest or ten guest seating. My waiter AWESONE Man and Server "Alex" ...One day for Lunch I had the Pork Chops...Delicious Yum Yum. The ambience is warm and friendly, like eating with La Familia. Recently coming from Los Angeles I highly recommend the SENIOR CAFE...hopefully I'll see you there...5 STARS... read more

This is My Place To Go for Cafe con Leche y Pan Tostada!, not to forget Media Noche. The prepared meals will not disappoint either. The Pasteles de carne were the worst I ever had, having lived in Miami for 48 years (No meat, just a Schmear)). Only 7 miles south of FLL OR A MILE FROM GulfStream Park RaceTrack. Breakfast today was decent. I got a build your own omelette which was good and the french toast which was pretty basic but good as well. The pricing is what I found the best as it was fair breakfast prices all around. Would definitely be a regular if this was close by home. Wait time for food was on the longer side which is why I was contemplating back and forth between 3 and 4 stars however the food impressed me enough to give it a 4 star. Will return eventually. Recently got takeout from this restaurant. I forgot about this place, as I only went for breakfast previously, & it had been a while. I was pleasantly surprised with my order of grilled beef flat steak with black beans & rice. Also tried the plantains, both were excellent, and it was so convenient . I usually go to Las Vegas, which is a favorite, but it was 5:00 traffic & my friend made the suggestion. I will def be a return customer. Food was ready, freshly made & pretty reasonably priced. read more

Quick stop for some cafecito and a something sweet, we meet Carlos who was very attentive and welcoming. My party has never tried Cuban desserts so we shared a flan and a guava cake. She ordered a cappuccino and I ordered a cafecito. We loved every bite of our desserts. Service and food was remarkable. Will Definitely come back for some cafecito and flan in the near future!!! read more

Pretty nice little place, coffee is good and so are the shakes (fruit). We came for breakfast and I ordered the pancakes with ham and hasbrown. The hashbrown was disappointing it was like those frozen ones you get from the cheap supermarket. Pancakes weren't exactly hot, very flavorless, and the type that my 8yr old can make at home. The breakfast burrito was good much better choice, your able to add whatever add ons you want; Vegetables, Cheese, Meats, etc. The batido de mamey was thick and good too. You have the option to have it with Milk or Water I always choose milk. All in all it's a good pit stop for a quick mini bite but not a full on breakfast. Service is pretty good. Plenty of parking, and plenty of indoor seating. read more

My favorite dining companion and I had a late lunch here after 14 days on a cruise ship. Underwhelmed. Visiting from out of state and was looking forward to Cuban food in south Florida. Everything taste better under sun and palm trees. To start my fiancé was propositioned by a prostitute outside of this establishment. We noticed she was approaching every man in the area but moved right past her and went inside...... Cold, apathetic, service from the servers but nonetheless placed my order to go. Plantains and yucca were cold and hard as a rock. Fried chicken chunks were good although way too salty! The skirt steak was the worse! It was incredibly chewy and nothing like the tender skirt we often eat in NJ. Chinese rice had mussels.... Eh since when? Not a fan. Tamal, croquetas, black beans, and white rice were basic. The beef pastelito had an odd tasting sweet beef vs savory beef at just about all other establishments in both Fl & NJ. This place overall is average at best. I would not go out of my way to eat here again next time we are in the area. read more

Our first stop after landing and getting to Hallandale was the Señor Cafe for breakfast. The service was awesome! Our server made sure my mini cup of Cuban coffee stayed full. I have bumped into this very nice Cuban food restaurant in Hallandale. The ambiance is nice, not for a romantic meal but it is clean, and the food is good. Don't even think about ordering from this place. Despite calls after the order was placed, they still screwed it up again (this is the third time they messed up my order). I used to frequent this place, but it must be under new management. the Manager never calls back (hiding from a complaint) and apparently does not care about their customers. they lost a good customer because of their lack of check and balances. Never Again Señor Cafè. I'd rather go to order fast food. read more

Just walking distance from our hotel. The menu intrigued me and we went. I had the Milenesa chicken with ham and cheese. One warning. It's HUGE. Very good. Fries were good. December 2/2021: This is obviously a neighbourhood restaurant not targeted at tourists. The service was slow & they were marginally polite. I could see that being authentic they were wondering what I was doing there! The sandwich on the other hand was delicious. It was fat with ingredients & tasted delicious. And what can you say about the Cuban coffee...always good to my taste. I definitely eat here again only I dine-in next time. read more
