Simple cuban cafe serving breakfast until 11am then hot lunch specials until 2pm. Easy parking on the south side of the building. Sadly, no greeting upon entry into this small cafe, from the two employees in the kitchen with their backs turned. Waited at the counter then walked to the kitchen to gain their attention - hooray, one of the women on their cell phone smiled with an acknowledgement of my presence and poured me a strong cup of cuban coffee for a great price of only $2.00. Two other patrons were in the small dining area discussing international travel. The mini display case on the rear counter had a thin inventory of croquetas, empanadas and pastries. There was a walk up exterior window and small ledge near the front door, but unsure if it was functional for customer use. Basic interior decor with a withered lower wooden front door. Decent cup of coffee in a good location, but unfortunately not an inviting experience.

This place is not good... it's amazing!! Stumbled upon it on the way to the airport so glad I did. Yummy cortadito!

Finally dined in to try their breakfast & it was the same lovely service. We ordered a guava pastry, veggie omelette sandwich & ham omelette sandwich which were all good. The pastry was flaky & warm aka my dream. The bread was fresh, eggs perfectly cooked & the coffee was on point (like always). Love this cozy little spot. I always park in the lot located next to the new smoke shop next door.

If you love great Cuban cuisine, Cafe Toque Cubano is a place that you should try. The Cuban Coffee is excellent and if you didn't know better you would think that you are sitting in a cafe in Havana. The Cuban sandwich is amazing. It's definitely authentic Cuban style and it's grilled to perfection.

Local Cuban coffee shop. Cortadito is fantastic, strong and authentic. Tried the Guanabana Juice also. It's sweet and reminds me of a sweet coconut water or a subtle papaya flavor juice. I think I would have liked it better as a smoothie than just a straight juice. But worth a try for sure. The food here looks declicious and certified by the locals in the cafe. Service is very friendly, but it will help to speak Spanish. Cafe ambiance inside with a small seating area. I love that it is nothing fancy and serves quality, authentic meals at a very reasonable price.

Across the street from hotel went in for late lunch. Had the Loaded Croquette Sandwich, fries and Ironbeer. Nice Cuban bite. The bread was soft and crunchy. Small deli style seating with only a couple tables. Service was friendly and helpful. Might have to try some other items in the menu...maybe coffee and breakfast?

I got the Cubano supreme sandwich and it was ok. Sweet pickles instead of dill pickles and I didn't really taste mustard so not sure if it was a traditional Cuban sandwich. The veggie omelette sandwich was pretty plain but the bread was good and crunchy The beef empanada was good. The meat filling was better than others I had and the crust was good but not much meat to crust ratio. The cheese pastry was flaky and good but not much cheese flavor. Reasonable price for the value so that's a plus. I'd eat here again. Service was really fast and friendly Service alone would get 5 stars. This place was more 3.5 stars so I rounded it up to 4.

Ham. Croquettes, tostada ( Cuban Toast with butter) and café con Leche. They are very tourist friendly

This is the simple small yet friendly local neighborhood Cuban Café. Go and meet the owner. He's always there super friendly and very outgoing. Happy to teach to help. New to. Cuban breakfast or lunch? New to The Cuban way of coffee? No problem because they love to share favorites that you might enjoy. Try the ham croquettes, the cafe con Leche, the Cuban toast is out of this world with coffee. They can make it strong or light. Just let them know your preference. I enjoy the in house food. Everything is made here in the kitchen fresh. Try the pastries. Jose is the owner and our good neighborhood small businessman. They are open at 7am to 3pm.

Arrived at Café Toque Cubano directly after landing at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Int'l airport. The taxi ride was as quick as it was inexpensive. The owner José, met us at the door of his quaint and inviting restaurant - he was very accommodating even though we had with us some pieces of rolling luggage which took up a lot of space. When he told him we had just arrived from Las Vegas he brought us two complimentary shots of sweet and strong Cuban coffee. It's what we needed after a red eye flight! We ordered Cuban Toast with eggs; it goes without saying that Cortaditos were present to wash it down. The eggs were prepared exactly as I had requested and were seasoned perfectly, the bread was buttered and warm having come straight off a panini press. As our food was brought to us, more locals filtered in, all seemed familiar and to José which added to the ambiance. If you're ever in Fort Lauderdale and looking for a great spot for breakfast or lunch, I have to recommend Café Toque

Hostess was friendly and sat us right away. Our waitress was a hoot in a way that was great for us (I wish I remembered her name, shout out from the mamajuana ladies). We got a lunch special ropa vieja which was a decent size for lunch. The meat was good but the sauce was a little thin (tomato sauce like) for us. We also got a masas de puerco which was good (the onions were perfect), a little leaner normal if you want to be bad but not too bad. They carry a rum type called mamajuana that my lunch companion had told me about almost a year ago but we hadn't seen anywhere. They serve it in an old fashioned but we got a shot to try straight. While rum is not my first or even second choice of spirit, the mamajuana is my first choice of rum! I will definitely be back to try it in the old fashioned. Another highlight, our waitress introduced me to a light sugar colada (grew up in the 305 and never been offered that, probably sacrilege lol) and for me it was perfect!!

Mojito: strong rum from my favorite rum brand Don Q. My friend ordered paella. The portion is huge. You can share it with more than one person. It takes three containers to take home the leftover.
