One of the best Cuban coffee in town. So good that I fell in love for the first time and decided to order 15 big cups for my friend and family to try. Amazingly the service is quick and was packed so neat in the cup holders. The staff is nice and don't really speak English so I just pointed from the menu. I also got a chance to try their last cheese pastry for the day. The parking is available beside the restaurant. Definitely will come back earlier next time to try their other pastries and Cuban food with their great coffee!! read more

Simple cuban cafe serving breakfast until 11am then hot lunch specials until 2pm. Easy parking on the south side of the building. Sadly, no greeting upon entry into this small cafe, from the two employees in the kitchen with their backs turned. Waited at the counter then walked to the kitchen to gain their attention - hooray, one of the women on their cell phone smiled with an acknowledgement of my presence and poured me a strong cup of cuban coffee for a great price of only $2.00. Two other patrons were in the small dining area discussing international travel. The mini display case on the rear counter had a thin inventory of croquetas, empanadas and pastries. There was a walk up exterior window and small ledge near the front door, but unsure if it was functional for customer use. Basic interior decor with a withered lower wooden front door. We found this place near our hotel after our cruise. As soon as we entered we were greeted and they instantly pushed the tables together to accommodate our group of 10! They are so friendly here and the food is so delicious! However, the coffee was AMAZING. Absolutely recommend. I had the Cortadito and it was the best Cortadito I have ever tasted in my life! So smooth -- I could drink these all day. We also had the Colada and it truly awakened my life. If you are an avid coffee drinker (& even if you aren't) you absolutely have to order one of these because they are truly life changing. I'm so glad we stopped by this spot! read more

Local Cuban coffee shop. Cortadito is fantastic, strong and authentic. Tried the Guanabana Juice also. It's sweet and reminds me of a sweet coconut water or a subtle papaya flavor juice. I think I would have liked it better as a smoothie than just a straight juice. But worth a try for sure. The food here looks declicious and certified by the locals in the cafe. Service is very friendly, but it will help to speak Spanish. Cafe ambiance inside with a small seating area. The Cubano sandwhich is excellent along with either the fresh mango juice or the cubano coffee. My husband and I split the sandwhich, and is plenty. Small interior and nothing special but worth your time. Service is a little challenging due to the language barrier but patience is key. Be nice, they are patient and kind. Enjoy! I got the Cubano supreme sandwich and it was ok. Sweet pickles instead of dill pickles and I didn't really taste mustard so not sure if it was a traditional Cuban sandwich. The veggie omelette sandwich was pretty plain but the bread was good and crunchy The beef empanada was good. The meat filling was better than others I had and the crust was good but not much meat to crust ratio. The cheese pastry was flaky and good but not much cheese flavor. Reasonable price for the value so that's a plus. I'd eat here again. Service was really fast and friendly Service alone would get 5 stars. Had high excitement for a new Cuban restaurant in South Broward, a rarity despite how many of us live here. My go-to test is always a medianoche. If you can't nail this staple, some computer error is happening. There was only one person up front but through the kitchen doors you can see a bunch of people sitting down talking and having a good time. That would be no problem except it took a long time for my sandwich to arrive. Place got busy soon after we got there and again service was okay. Waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there and seem to be the only one hustling putting stuff together. Food itself was okay, not spectacular. The sandwich was a bit greasy and it had the bread soggy. There was ample amount of juicy pork meat on it to save the day and prevent it from being a lower star review. I order a ropa vieja with rice and beans and a coffee with milk. The cashier then walks to the back and I see the chef nod her head no saying she's not making the ropa vieja. She comes back to me saying that there'll all out but it's 10:50 in the morning so how are they out of ropa vieja already??? Anyway I settle for a tostada and it's the most dry tostada I've ever had and the coffee was horrendous. A disgrace on a Cuban cafe and by far the worst experience I've never had. read more

Arrived at Café Toque Cubano directly after landing at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Int'l airport. The taxi ride was as quick as it was inexpensive. The owner José, met us at the door of his quaint and inviting restaurant - he was very accommodating even though we had with us some pieces of rolling luggage which took up a lot of space. When he told him we had just arrived from Las Vegas he brought us two complimentary shots of sweet and strong Cuban coffee. It's what we needed after a red eye flight! We ordered Cuban Toast with eggs; it goes without saying that Cortaditos were present to wash it down. The eggs were prepared exactly as I had requested and were seasoned perfectly, the bread was buttered and warm having come straight off a panini press. As our food was brought to us, more locals filtered in, all seemed familiar and to José which added to the ambiance. Wow, what a hidden gem!! We stopped in here the other day to eat after seeing it rated 4.9 stars on Google Maps. (Sorry Yelp, it was easier to search that way while on the road.) When we walked in, there didn't seem to be much food, which at first was a bit of a turn-off. There was just a small food bar section with a few dishes available. But I decided to order anyway and am so glad that I did! I'm not sure which dish it was, but it had big cubes of beef with potatoes and a red sauce. They served it with rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. Delicious! Filling! Flavorful! It felt like home. Plus, the staff was so friendly and welcoming. I wish all the success to the wonderful people that own and run this little restaurant. My husband and I will definitely be back next time we drive through the Miami area. read more

Banana milkshake was delicious. Slow service. They charge for water, well they only offer bottled water. I felt like I was more of a bother than a guest. I ordered everything up front (cafe Cubano, banana milkshake, and lunch special). I sat down and waited several minutes then asked for a water and a cafe cubano. Several more minutes passed and I got my lunch special. I was half way through my meal and the banana milkshake came. Had ask again for water and cafe cubano. If you are staying at the Windham Hotel on Federal avenue. When you leave the hotel, turn right and walk about two blocks crossing the street on the way. The cafe is maybe a bit further and there was a Cuban flag outside at the time. We had a great breakfast at a reasonable price. The cafe was small, but ,"clean and well lighted." Above all, the waitress was pleasant, happy, helpful, and had a great giggle. The cook created some great breakfast food for us. We love small restaurants like this.
