Cuban coffee and Cuban bread combo! Must try.
    Angelo S.

Located in a strip mall center near Hollywood Beach, this place is a hidden gem! When you walk in your met with great personal service, Cuban music in the backyard, and during the 2 times we went, it was busy with locals who know the food and price is better than anything on or near the Hollywood boardwalk. Everything was so good, we first came for lunch, and the next day came for breakfast! The Cuban coffee and bread combo is to die for. The best Yuke Fries in the area, the chicken soup is something your great grandmother would make you when you're feeling sick and need a lift, the steak and eggs will have you full until dinner time! Absolutely love it.

Breakfast menu. You can order after breakfast hours for an address charge of $1.50 per plate.

A great little hole in the wall with great food at prices that won't break the bank. The service is good and you can sit at the counter or one of the booths.

This restaurant is a GEM!!! The food is absolutely AMAZING!!! The service and atmosphere is welcoming. I'd eat here every day if I lived here lol

Cafe con leche y pan Cubano

Perfect little spot on Dixie Hwy! We were warmly greeted when we walked in. We were the first to arrive, right away we were given our menus. The cafe con leche y pan Cubano took me back to my childhood. Our waitress was so friendly and the food was delicious! Just like mi Abuelita made it. The portions are big and the food is fresh. The price is unbelievably affordable! Definitely Will be our go to when we're in Florida

This place was a little hole in the wall type of cafeteria but very clean and with two nice and attentive ladies helping out the customers. I was there early on a Monday morning and it was pretty packed. I ordered the typical Cuban breakfast that consisted of a Cuban toast with butter, cafe con leche (Cuban coffee & milk) and scrambled eggs with ham and a side of french fries. Not bad. Portions were ok. Taste was good. My cafe con leche was done just right. The tostada was missing a little more butter but that's simply because I love "butter & bread" instead of bread and butter...lol

Great tasting Cuban breakfast for an affordable price. I had the Cuban breakfast with two eggs, croquets, plantains, beans and rice. All for around $8 one can't complain. You can't really go too wrong on breakfast.I live in Cali where they charge so much for an egg that when you open it you'll expect gold to come out. Finding this place was a true blessing. The women who work here are very friendly and polite. There is very little space inside and packed. I would stick to small parties.

I would give a 0 if I could. Giving me a ham empanada when I asked for chicken is unacceptable. Not everyone eats ham. 0/10 stars

Food was delicious, from appetizer to main entree. Recommendations were made and I went with all of them. Pork belly chunks that were seasoned with salt and pepper, and lemon was added afterward for a little more punch in the flavor. Shrimp creole was delicious. The red beans and rice mix makes you want to keep having more and mixing it all together gives you a flavorful punch in your mouth. Mofongo, aka , masked green plantains are only for those looking for something a little dry with flavor. Mines had steak and it was drizzled with mojito sauce and oil. Our server was excellent and recommended flipping it over to have the juice flow into the mofongo which she went ahead and did.. steak was well done and when mixed in had a great combination of flavor.. Ambiance feels like a local P.R spot, flags, art, music, and very fun ambiance. Enjoyed it. Definitely when I'm in the area will come again..

The food was mixed . - Alcapurrias : 5 stars crunchy, juicy, proper size and flavor. - pork chunks mofongo: 4 stars, great flavor. Huge pork portion. - shrimp mofongo creole sauce: 3 stars sauce was on the saltier side and once it reached the bottom of the mongo it was "just too much" - churrasco (kids): 3 stars. A bit overcooked (kid refused to eat it) but it was decent flavor and tenderness. - beans: 3 stars, too salty - white rice : 1 star, felt dry and grainy like day old rice from the fridge.

It's rare to find a spot that draws you back 24 hours later, but this place is a total standout in Miami. Despite having a larger group this time, we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The service was excellent from start to finish--attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced for a family dinner. We kicked things off with the Cuban sampler, which was the perfect introduction to the menu and got everyone excited for the main event. Every dish that hit the table was a hit: the Red Snapper was incredibly fresh, and the Chicharron de Pollo had that perfect crunch. My wife really enjoyed the Chicken Milanesa, but for me, the Paella was the star of the show--rich, authentic, and packed with flavor. It's safe to say everything was delicious yet again. We've officially added this to our "must-visit" list for every trip to Miami. If you're looking for a meal that feels both high-quality and welcoming, you can't beat this spot. We'll definitely be back!

Needed to do errands in North Miami, so Little Havana came up as a place to go for Cubanos. It has…read morethree locations in Miami, with this one in North Miami being the original, opened in 1991. We dined in, and the visit blew away the food from the previous week. I really like Cuban sandwiches, so will be something my brother and I keep seeking out during short visits to Miami. We had a one-day rental car, so found Little Havana Restaurant, coming a bit after peak lunch time. It's on a major street, with surface angled parking in the back. There are a lot of wild birds in the area, with their guano being everywhere outside. It's a big dining area inside, and we were immediately directed to a prime location with views of their small lush adjacent green space, and the birds that live there. Elizabeth was our server, with water and complementary rolls being immediately offered by helpers. She and her team were great throughout, offering suggestions and bringing the food nice and hot. We ordered off the Happy Hour menu (11:30 - 18:00 M-F) and the Lunch Special Menu (11:30 - 16:00). We were greatly satisfied with every dish Shrimp in Garlic Sauce, appetizer size ($14.99) - 5 jumbo tail-on shrimp, sauteed in a scampi type sauce. It's what you expect when you douse good shrimp with a butter garlic sauce. The appetizer does not come with rice/beans, but we had plenty of it from the other dishes...loved spooning the sauce over the rice while eating. Roast Pork Lunch ($12.99) - what a deal. A dish of pulled pork with a big piece of fried pork skin on top...reminded me of the Filipino lechon, or even the Hawaiian kalua pork, with the tenderness of the mean. It came with a big scoop of rice and a bowl of red beans. Lamb Shank ($18.49) - This was recommended by Elizabeth when asked by my brother, what he shouldn't miss. It's a Cuban special, cooked in wine sauce. It was a big piece, still on the bone, coming with a big plate of rice and fried plantains. He enjoyed it, though he was struggling a bit at the end. Cuban Sandwich ($12.49) - A full size Cuban sandwich, cut in half. It had been grilled on a sandwich press with a little oil, resulting in the cuban bread being crispy at the top. It had the right mix of that same delicious pulled pork, along with ham, melted swiss, mustard and pickle slices. It was very good, great value for the price. Paying was done at the top, and we intentionally did not take any leftovers. There is a framed newspaper article from 1991 in the lobby, where you can read more about their origins.
