Competing with a variety of food choices in Dania Pointe, we decided to celebrate Padrino's 50 year anniversary. Our exact reservation time was honored. Greeted by the hostess and sat with several guests in a booth across from the bar. Ordered a large combo appetizer and complimentary bread but they were skirmish on the serving size. The steak with black beans and onions was excellent and the wife enjoyed her pulled pork entree. The dining room was beautifully designed with dim lighting throughout. The gender neutral bathroom boasted light wood flooring with blue flowered wallpaper and a FoxTail Palm tree in the corner providing a tropical vibe. The bathroom decor was nice but needed some TLC compared to the rest of the immaculate dining room.

What an experience! Hotel desk recommend Padrino's and they were not wrong! Great atmosphere, awesome service and delicious food! We ordered the slow cook pork and Cuba minute steak. For dessert we had a cheesecake flan (forgot to take picture), and oh my goodness it was delicious! If you're in Ft. Lauderdale/Dania Beach area check them out!

Guava'rita (happy hour)

I was in the mood for Latin food so we went to Padrino's Cuban Restaurant which was walking distance from our hotel. It was during their happy hour time we ordered Guava'rita and Fiesta Tostones along with my favorite sweet plantains to start. Our bartender was very nice. She always checked on us to make sure we were doing okay. We decided to order lechon asada to share with of course more sweet plantains as the side instead of the yuca. Wish there could have been more onions as I love pork, especially crispy pork, but the grills onions put it over the top. Ended with some flan which was amazing. Great spot for anyone in the area of Dania Pointe to try.

Recently went to Padrino's in the Dania Point plaza and it was amazing. Sat at the bar for happy hour and began with a Guava'rita. So smooth and easy to drink I had to order another one. For food I tried Fiesta Tostones which come in two and were delicious. Could have ate another two but optioned for an entree choosing the Lechon Asado. Perfect. Loved the pork with its crispy bits and the onions. Finished the meal with flan and savored every bite. Place was hopping which is a great sign. Service was excellent and can't wait to be back in town to try other menu items.

The pulled pork was super moist with a side of okra, black beans and rice. The server was professional but quick speaking with a heavy accent but finally ordered a margarita that was fantastic. Love the complimentary soft bread but needed more than one basket for my large table. Got one little slice but more would have went well with my cocktail while waiting for my entree. The dim lighting and music was nice during our meal but not too loud so that I was able to converse normally with my friends.

I didn't have a reservation on a Saturday night but they had space for me. It was busy mostly with families out on Saturday night. The food was so good. I asked the server a question because I was between two menu items and she told me which was more authentic. It was the right choice. I ate the entire thing. I tried the CocoLeo beer from Lost City Brewing, which was on tap. You can taste the coconut in it. The bathroom was clean and in all, it was a pleasant experience. I would totally come back if I'm ever in the area again.

I've been coming to Padrino's Cuban Restaurant since I was a little girl with my family, and to this day it's still one of my go-to spots. The food is always delicious and always hits the spot when I'm craving classic chicken, rice, and beans--period. I usually rotate between the chicken asado and the Cuban sandwich, and you honestly can't go wrong with either. The bread is amazing, the ambiance is chill and welcoming, and it truly feels like comfort food every time. They have locations all over, so if you ever come across one, definitely check it out!

I went tk this place and the ambience is really nice. Not too many people on a Monday night. The service was good very attentive and nice. I got the picadillo with rice and beans and tostones. Everything was delicious but a bit salty. My friend got the lechon asado with Moro and sweet plantains. Another friend got the palomilla steak with rice and beans and sweet plantains and his wife got the pork chunks with rice and beans and yuca. They were visiting and loved the flavors and everything. This a place if you're in the area you must try.

I never give 5 stars but this one is a win. We had a terrific dinner there. We had the Churrasco it was cooked a perfect MR, the rice beans and plantains were all seasoned well no S&P on the tables and it's not needed. We had the green salad present in a large bowl so it was easy to cut and not fall off the plate. The Cuban sliced garlic bread very light and was great with the salad. The Malbec and Pinot Noir were both delicious. Service was great. Atmosphere really nice. Clean and great vibe restaurant. Wish we had one at home! Thanks for a nice night out! Also got the Key Lime dessert to go.

Hi everyone, today I ordered the Churrasco Steak with white rice and tostones. I ordered the steak medium-well and it was cooked perfectly. The steak was so well seasoned and delicious. My white rice was really tasty and the tostones as well. I drove an hour and forty five minutes to get food here and it was worth the drive.

Ox Tail, rice & plantains

I had never had authentic Cuban food and it was spectacular!!!! The drinks were tasty and I decided to be adventurous and try ox tail. It was by far the best meal I've had in a very long time. They had live music which gave the restaurant a great, chill vibe.

Service was pretty good and the food was great. I got palomilla which came with plantains and rice and beans. Serving sizes were decent and the cafe con leche was also good as well. Overall, the place was clean and neat. Parking was a little busy but overall was easy enough to find a spot.

Love this gem! First they have the best mojito's! My wife loves the shrimp, white rice and black beans. I got the flat steak. Palomilla. It was really good. My son got Ropa viejo and he said it's better than when he had it in Puerto Rico!! They have a green pesto type sauce that's really good too. Overall great spot. Only about 15 minutes from Dolphin stadium

The appetizer platter also comes with the same kind of plantain chips. Highly recommended if you want to try a bit of everything. Empanada has fresh homemade crust Lechon asado: tender and juicy roasted pork. I substitute the moros with fried plantains. I really enjoy it. Plantains are ripe and sweet but not mushy. Tostones are the biggest I've ever had. Well fried and not greasy. Plenty of drink options. Sangria is ok, not very fruity. Only has two slices of oranges . Mojito: strong rum from my favorite rum brand Don Q. My friend ordered paella. The portion is huge. You can share it with more than one person. It takes three containers to take home the leftover. Very tasty with fresh seafood.

The service was excellent, and the restaurant is beautiful with a very relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious. We started with the empanadas which had an excellent flavor and the mango salsa that it came with was really really good. For dinner, my wife had the Lachona Asada and I had the churrasco steak. Both our dishes were excellent amazing flavors. The meat was super tender, and the portions were a really nice size. I can definitely say that we're going to return more often, especially if the food continues at this level.

Great place to have a delicious Puerto Rican meal…read more Service was fast and efficient, no wait time when I arrived. Monday evening, holiday. Food was delicious, from appetizer to main entree. Recommendations were made and I went with all of them. Pork belly chunks that were seasoned with salt and pepper, and lemon was added afterward for a little more punch in the flavor. Shrimp creole was delicious. The red beans and rice mix makes you want to keep having more and mixing it all together gives you a flavorful punch in your mouth. Mofongo, aka , masked green plantains are only for those looking for something a little dry with flavor. Mines had steak and it was drizzled with mojito sauce and oil. Our server was excellent and recommended flipping it over to have the juice flow into the mofongo which she went ahead and did.. steak was well done and when mixed in had a great combination of flavor.. Ambiance feels like a local P.R spot, flags, art, music, and very fun ambiance. Enjoyed it. Definitely when I'm in the area will come again..

We were looking for somewhere to get a very satisfying dinner at a slightly early bird time. We were the first people in the restaurant for dinner and we wondered if the empty place held any bearing on the quality of food. Let me tell you... This was one of the best meals I've ever had while traveling. We were shocked and amazed at the large portions and the incredible flavor. We try to eat high-protein, and that was no problem here. We kept telling the staff to give our compliments to the chef. We had a few drinks, we had a really great long meal, and as we were packing up, more people were flowing in. We had leftovers, but since we were traveling, we couldn't take them with us, so we decided to sit tight until we had finished as much as we could. Worth it!

And it was very off putting to see that on the menu they had all these additional charges. It's +2$ after 3pm and then 2$ if you share food! That is ridiculous. I don't believe either of those are justified. Also if you get fajitas you only get 3 tortillas. Usually places are more generous with tortillas. Nonetheless , the food is solid. The chicken soup I got was very tasty and tasted very authentic. I also got the chicken sandwich with rice and beans. I opted for the breaded chicken. It was fried really evenly and the chicken was thin. I like that. The salsa on the side was vinegar based with big chunks of onion and peppers. I enjoyed that as well.
