I was looking for an authentic Cuban sandwich and this is where Yelp suggested I go. Thankfully I found my way and I am so happy about it. Parking in the warehouse area was quite difficult but luckily I found a space. Once inside, the place was quite small but there is an additional dining room to the right. My husband and I sat at the sandwich bar area because the air conditioner was blowing cold. The ladies behind the counter took our order and although the food took a while, we did notice that they were packing up a large take out order and there were other dine in orders ahead of our which we didn't mind because we were in no hurry. Beverages are located in a cold storage cabinet but they also have traditional cuban coffee drinks and a fresh juicing machine of OJ. There were also some fresh baked goods on the bar area. Our sandwiches were served in a plastic basket with no included side but they had a few reasonable options. The Cuban sandwiches were packed full of pork, ham and cheese. They have a special garlic sauce that I used for some extra flavor which was also used on their plated dishes and the daily special. I'm so glad I followed my fellow Yelpers' advice and tried this place. It's a small, well-kept gem tucked into an unassuming location. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but once you walk in, wow. The ladies working here are incredibly welcoming and immediately make you feel comfortable. There are only two tables and a bar, but somehow it didn't feel cramped. We ordered the café con leche, the chicken sandwich, and the grilled chicken plate with rice, beans, and sweet plantains. The sandwich is huge and really flavorful. Definitely add the cilantro sauce. It takes it to another level. The standout for me was the sweet plantains. Located in a small industrial area. It easy to pass if you're not paying attention . Small counter with a couple of tables inside. Staff was busy doing takeout orders but still took great care of me. I ordered the steak and eggs. The steak what's not when I was used to. A very thin cut of beef that wasn't super tender but had lots of flavor. It also came with home fries two eggs over easy and cuban toast. The eggs were cooked perfect.Home fries had lots of onions and the cuban toast was nice , warm and fresh. Ody's Cuban Cafe is a hole in the wall spot that serves hot and freshly prepared Cuban food. Everyone who works there were welcoming and friendly. They all had smiles on their faces. We had some ham croquettas, ham and eggs croissant, and double coladas for quick breakfast. The croissant was tasty and was prepared fresh. They have a pretty decent size menu that I would love to try all eventually. The place is located in a ratchet looking place so drive carefully and make sure your car is not going over anything that can puncture your tires! Will definitely recommend to others. This place is not conspicuous and you wouldn't expect such an adorable cafe once you step inside. I can't speak for the food, as we all stopped in for some coffee and didn't get anything to eat this visit. However, the menu looks great. The coffee was fabulous! Ody's is very clean inside, as is their bathroom, which tells me it's a clean kitchen. The new owners are so kind, and are doing a fantastic job of running this great spot. It truly is a hidden gem.
