It was nice, dark and refreshing. I ordered 2 chicken and cheese pupusa. They were huge! I ended up eating only one there and I had one to take home for later. My daughter ordered steak with rice and beans. The meat was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. It's a nice place to stop in for lunch and very affordable. Both of our meals were only $30. We ordered the chicken tamal and it was absolutely delicious! We also ordered the carne asada with rice and beans and my husband really enjoyed it. I had the combination chicken, beef and shrimp platter with rice and beans and coleslaw. It was perfection! I tried them on a whim and will never consider ordering South American food anywhere else. We went for the first time. Prices are ok. Restaurant is clean and the waitress was friendly. I order a beef and chicken empanada (both were beef) they didn't have much taste and had a mushy texture. I asked about the daily soup (beef soup) and sizes. We weren't told that the medium soup came with rice so we weren't able to order actual plate. Soup was tasteless (had to add salt) the tiny piece of plantain that had the peel so I had to take it out. Overall I didn't like it. My son had the chicken finger and fries. That was actually good. This food is so good. And there's so much of it. Everything is handmade everything is made right there. The staff is really friendly it's a family-run business so everybody's related. It helps if you speak Spanish but there's people there who speak English. Is indoor seating news take out as well. There's one small table in front if you want to sit outside. This restaurant is a hidden jewel on Davie Road Extension. From the outside it might not look like much but it's actually a cute, clean, and tidy little restaurant that serves incredible food at great prices. I've only been here for lunch and there's almost never anybody here except to pick up phone-in orders for takeaway. It's nice in here, so it deserves a dinnertime sit-down crowd. The lunch specials are amazing: huge portions prepared perfectly for $6 to $7 including two sides. They have a variety of chicken, fish, beef, and pork dishes on special for lunch as well as the full regular menu. I had lomo saltado today, and it was the best lomo saltado I've had. It's an El Salvadorean restaurant but they serve Mexican food as well as dishes common to Latin America. Their corn tortillas, by the way, are fabulous. They explain what their specials are and how incredible each dish is.... I took one of their specials and it was delicious! Although I had the restaurant at great standards regarding their food , I recently have been very disappointed by one of their bullying servers. I've noticed that every time I go to pick up my order, this server always gives me a hard time if I ask for my receipt before I've paid my bill. Reason being is because they're automatically adding the 10% tip to the bill but don't want you to know and ask you for an additional tip on the credit card receipt.... too smart, huh? And when I ask for the receipt she always has some comment to add: 'you should have asked me before (in Spanish)".... oof, so much extra work I guess. Aren't they supposed to give you a receipt before paying...? And yesterday, after picking up my food, and even leaving an addition tip, she had the audasity to call me out when I grabbed a few napkins... (5 napkins). Always rude and nasty with me, they've lost my business. There are many more Spanish restaurants I can certainly find with better service. read more

Wow talk about finding a restaurant that doesn't look like much from the outside...only to find the inside is clean and the food is Excellent! I had a co-worker bring me food from here once and I said "WHERE DID YOU GET THIS FROM" little did I know the previous restaurant at this location was gone, and replaced with this little place that has a great cook/owner.
