Buen servicio. Y bien barato. 10/10 Moral of the story: amazing all around and I would highly recommend!! 10/10 read more

An end unit in the Dunkin' plaza and needed a jolt before playing cards. Greeted with a big smile by the staff upon entry. There was a two sectional dining room and not busy during an early lunch time. The charred skin on the roasted chicken was glistening and smelled spectacular in the display case next to the homemade empanadas, although, sadly no spicy beef. The medium dark roast Colombian espresso was excellent with a great aroma and for $2.00 it's a steal. Pollo Tipico does not personally deliver but offers Door Dash. The gender assigned bathroom was clean with beautiful light brown wood panel flooring. read more

This used to be one of my favorite Dominican places to come, but after the last couple of experience, I stopped going yesterday my dad wanted to go to this location. I said it's been a while. Let's give it a try. We got there we got seated. The waiter was very friendly and took our order. We both ordered the same and had a couple of beers while waiting. The food was great fresh and the restaurant was clean. Glad to see that the restaurant is back in Service like it was in the beginning and I will continue to come and would recommend if you're into Dominican food. read more

A Dominican restaurant located in Hollywood, just steps away from the Hard Rock Guitar Hotel. It's a place where you can enjoy exquisite rotisserie chicken paired with your choice of two sides--such as rice, beans, fried plantains (tostones), or salad. And don't forget to try the chicharrones--wow, they are super crispy! read more

Pollo Tipico - The best hot food to go! - Dominican Near Me - Davie, Florida

Ok, so I've been in Florida for nine years now, and one of the very first places I visited was Pollo Típico, and it's still one of my go-to spots. This place is solid all around. Home cooking style food, always fresh, and a menu packed with options (in a good way). This time, I stopped in around 10am for breakfast and went with the guineos with fried egg, salami, and cheese instead of the mangú. But, my friend ordered the mangú, which was smooth and flavorful. We also grabbed a pound of chicharrón and some aguacate, and everything tasted just made--crispy, fresh, and on point. What really keeps me coming back is the consistency. The servers and counter staff are always friendly, patient, and accommodating, even when it's busy (which it usually is) . There's almost always a crowd, but that just means fresh food that never sits around. From pastelitos to sancocho and everything in between, it's all reliable and well done. As for the ambiance: it's no-frills, and feels like a neighborhood spot you need in your life. You hear Spanish music, smell food cooking, see regulars coming and going--it has that old-school Latin cafeteria vibe. Nothing fancy, but exactly what you expect from a place that focuses on good food. And the real star? The rotisserie chicken!!!! For sure some of the best I've had in South Florida. So if you're in Fort Lauderdale, or Broward County, or nearby, Pollo Típico is absolutely worth a visit. Always consistent, always a good choice, and for me, it gives me a taste of back up north with both the food and the service. Heads-up: if you dine in, you'll probably leave smelling like cooking oil, but honestly, that's a small price to pay for food this good read more

When I am craving mofongo I head to Pollo Tipico. I have been doing that at least twice a year for many years. There's a decent amount of parking spots, and you can dine there. I never have. There is a separate, plain dining room away from the take-out area. I always get my meals to go, so I can take them home and share with family members. The takeout line is often crowded and very busy. So I was happy to see only four people ahead of me today. They usually make the mofongo when you order it. So wait time is about 8-10 minutes, once you place your order. Servers are always friendly. I got my meal with stewed chicken and took it home to share with hubby. I love that the pork cracklin is mixed into the mofongo because it gives it a nice crunch. I don't recall this problem in all the years I have been going there, but the chicken was super salty. (I have gotten various meats to accompany my mofongo in the past, including oxtails, beef, and pork.) I noticed another review that complained about the same issue. Please cut back on the salt. Customers can always add salt. They can't subtract it. Because of this, I subtracted a star. The portion size is decent (two of us ate my one order) and prices are reasonable ($15.99 for my dish). I plan to return when my next mofongo craving hits. And I hope the too-salty issue has been addressed. read more

Yes l recommend the Food , service, ambiance , the restaurant offers fried dominican foods , rice , and beans, and refreshments

Never disappoints!! Food is ALWAYS good. Never had anything I didn't like. Chicharrones are AMAZING!!

Excellent chicharrón! I've been on a kick lately. This spot is tucked away off 441 near Stirling and worth the trip. Most competitive prices and the dishes all looked super fresh. Food is served from a line lechonera style by the pound or dish. The service is swift and efficient and kind enough. Server got a fresh piece of chicharron out the back without me asking and graciously gave extra onions on request. One piece of pork a generous side of yucca and one queso frito was about $13+tax. Inside is like a large no frills homegrown cafe with pictures of family all over. Will certainly return when the craving hits! read more

Cannot believe I didn't know about this place! The food is amazing and the prices are insane!! A wonderful gem

Quick grab and go. You get in line, tell staff what you want from buffet table and they put your plate together. Multiple rices, meats, vegetables and soups daily. Friendly and fast service. My go to spot for Dominican food EVERY SINGLE TIME! Located in Hollywood near the Hard Rock but I now drive from Kendall when I need a fix and don't want to cook (it's that good). Their original spot is in Lawrence, MA so if you're Dominican you know it's legit. The BEST moro (arroz con gandules), rabo (oxtail), pollo guisado (stew chicken), sancocho, batata, tres golpes, batido lechosa...I've never had a bad meal here and I've been coming for over 15 years! Favorite Dominican place. Excellent food and ambience. The portions are filling and prices are reasonable so overall a must try.

Chicken was dry, food was cold, chicharones was dry old. Tostones was the only hot item. Waitress did not check on us until we're done. I informed her about the sub standard food. She was unapologetic. She offered to microwave the the dried up chicken. She actually asked if wanted to order desert or coffee. Can you believe this waitress (Spend more money here). I said no thank you. She left and did not return. I had to search for her to pay my bill. It is a real shame this place used to be a good restaurant but not anymore. read more

Good stuff going on here! Tastes just like the food you get in DR. The place is super casual - so don't even think about taking a girl here on a date. I know my DR brothers haha! I was sent here by a coworker stating that they have "the best chicharrones de Broward". This was going to be the test if I can trust him with food recommendations in the future. Buttttttt he was right. Broward is definitely not the place you think of in South FL to get the greatest dominican food but this place is legit! Apparently they've been here a long time too! Who knew? The chicharrones and tostones were fried fresh on the spot! Major points for that! It's always better piping hot! I ended up "splurging" and getting a country club soda too and the grand total was $10!!! That is what I'm talking about people! Adding this as one of my stops when I'm back in town. read more
