I read the great reviews and I can see there's a lot to potentially like about Mitch's Downtown Bagel Cafe. I had a very tasty breakfast burrito, with self-applied Cholula hot sauce. I like the general location, which is a covered courtyard. Nice and shady and peaceful, which is something I don't usually associate with busy the US1 area by the Big Easy Casino. Today there was some type of vendor show setting up here. I bought a 3-D printed axolotl. So why only 3 stars today? They are open until 3:00 pm and it was 12:30 pm. They were probably busy before we arrived, because they only had a few bagels left and they were out of home fries. Yes the bagel was good but it's not a deli in any sense of the word. It's an Einstein Bagel with a batter tasting bagel. No grits or any type of breakfast meals unless they are on a sandwich. I had an everything bagel scooped and toasted. I got an everything bagel with cream cheese and butter on one side smashed together, Really? In the deli world that's a big no no. I love getting an egg everything bagel with egg and cheese and add a hash brown! So yummmmm! My favorite coffee is an ice latte with hazel vanilla. I also love their chicken noodle soup, bagel chips with a nova dip. This is one of my favorite spots. read more

I had a delicious take out order awaiting me. I ordered on the Mitch's app seamlessly. It was quick and easy. The bagels were delicious. They tasted very fresh. I especially liked the everything and the onion bagels. The chive cream cheese is scrumptious. The plain cream cheese is good too. But, I like more flavor so I will definitely go for the chive cream cheese in the future. They have a nice lunch menu. I would like to dine in here one day when I am in the area. A clean and cozy spot with great tasting food. The food came out fast which is always great. The staff seemed friendly. If it's busy inside, there's seating options outside. I assume it's pet friendly as there was a dog inside. Now about the food.. It all tasted great! I'm not a matcha connoisseur by any means but I thought it was pretty decent. The only thing that threw me off was the size of the burrito. The bagels were huge and stuffing but this burrito came in a tiny plate. The size of plates you put your coffee mug on. Each half I ate in about 4 bites and left me still hungry but I guess the taste made up for it. For its price point, I would likely get a bagel or something else where you'll get more bang for your buck. Overall, a good spot for breakfast with tasty food. read more

Best bagel i've had in FL!! the everything bagel, which we got for both sandwiches, was excellent. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and all the toppings stayed on the bagel!! The hangover sandwich was sweet and with a little kick, the hash brown was crispy, and very cheesy. The nova was fresh and tasty, hearty amount of capers which I love, delicious cream cheese. Service was great, very quick and nice. Store was clean and spacious, with lots of tables inside and out. Okay okay! This place was prettyyyy freaking good. So I went with one of the favorites on the menu. It was a breakfast burrito that had egg, hashbrown, sausage, and red pepper aoli on a sausage wrap. Soooo i wanted a breakfast sandwich late night and google sent me all NYC locations. Unfortunately, i dnt live in NyC so i had to wait for another day to try again. I was doom scrolling on uber eats and i saw this bagel spot. I decided to check out their menu and the hang over bagel caught my eye. Now i was sober but i was intrigued so i decided to order it. I ordered it the 1st time on a plain bagel and i enjoyed it alot. The eggs were well cooked and the hash brown was flavorful. The bacon was also cooked to perfect, in my opinion. And it had the right amount of cheesy goodness. I also tried it on the asiago cheese bagel and it was just as good. I saw that they had the Hangover 2 which had the sausage but i can't sub out the Latke on the delivery app so i just stick with the hangover. The hangover 2 looks good but just a little too much for me to eat. Overall, the hang over has consistently been a really good sandwich. read more

That plus the chive cream cheese will definitely have me coming back. Every single person my group had contact with made the experience noteworthy. Mitch the owner also came by our table to ask us how everything was going and I hope this establishment never loses the personal touch. It reminds me of when the owner of every local spot would stop by the tables of the diners when I was a kid. Located in the newly developed Atlantic Villages building, they have both inside and outside seating. We decided to sit on their breezeway/ terrace. The cashier who took our order was friendly & patient, as I wee looking through their large menu and making my picks. Oh, and there really is someone named Mitch. He stopped and chatted with us and the other customers. Talk about first class service! It's not some ginormous chain, but rather a local biz with three locations in Broward. Besides yummy French toast bites for the table, I enjoyed their extra generous scrambled eggs platter with a generous portion of eggs. My plate included both perfectly crispy bacon and a slice of ham. My cashier was on point with his recommendations on the home fries (potato wedges) as well as cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese for dessert. read more

I ate here twice during my visit to the area. Both times I ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. The bagel was tasty, however, I was dismayed to see only carrots in the veggie cream cheese. On one visit, there was no green onion or anything else. Also, it's very expensive. I would prefer it to be 2 dollars less and give me less cream cheese. It was an obscene amount of cream cheese. I was most excited(and then disappointed) with the matza mall soup.
