Anyway, I've never had a problem here whatsoever. They aren't all warm and fuzzy, but I'm paying for competence, not smiles, and competent they assuredly are. They got out decade old blood stains out of a ball hockey jersey and have an average turnaround of 2-3 days, even during the holidays and wedding season. I can't recommend them enough. When we move, we will most certainly still be taking our clothes in here for dry cleaning and alterations.

The tailor saw right away what was wrong with the zipper and had a plan in place how to fix the problem. He indicated that the zipper needed to be stronger, wider and of a better quality. He suggested having a much better single zipper and for the zipper to not extend to the bottom of the parka. I readily agreed with him that this would be a perfect plan. Fabric would be put in place at the bottom. It also already had snaps. I brought it in on Tuesday and it was ready on Friday. I was ever so very happy with my parka and truly wonderful new zipper (YKK - great quality)!!! It works perfectly now and I have no difficulties with it! I have in the past brought items into the shop and have always been totally satisified with the service and reasonable costs!!! Do bring your tailoring needs here and of course drycleaning!

I recently needed a new pair of pants altered, and the folks at Club Monaco recommended John the Tailor. They said he was the best in downtown, and that most people in the city core love him. Well, you can add me to that list! The changing rooms are actually changing rooms with locks on the doors, not those small compartments with curtains that make you feel so vulnerable. With a quick tuck here and a single swish of his tailor's chalk, John has your measurements done in no time and you can be off to run other errands in the mall. He doesn't waste your time, and that's one thing I really like about him. He also hums and whistles while he works, which I think is rather endearing. I asked him if he could have my pants (two pairs) done sooner, and he said he'd try to get them done in a day. I came back at the end of the next day, and both my pants were altered just to my liking. It came to $34 for both my pants, which I think is fair for the quality of the work. It's like I bought them just like that. Taking in a pair of pants at the waist will cost more than simply adjusting the hems. The staff are helpful and friendly; one guy was conversing with an elderly lady when I picked up my tailoring. They seem quite busy here, as there is always someone there when I come by, and it seems you have to specifically ask for a rush order, otherwise it could take a few days because they have so many orders coming in. I'm definitely taking my clothes to John again the next time I need some altering done. If you're downtown and need a good tailor, remember -- John's the man! Thanks, John!

I was very satisfied with the service and always said I wanted my pants to be touching the floor without shoes on....every time! I don't know her name but i went in enough that she recognized me. I had taken in a pair of black linen pants and went through the whole scenario of trying them on, have them touch the floor without shoes and then I just picked them up a few days later. I didn't try them on right away because I've never had a problem. I took them with me on a trip a couple of weeks later. When I put them on, they were a solid inch and a half too short. I can't wear them. I took them back in to see if maybe she could let the hem down but it didn't look like enough fabric was left. She said 3/4 of an inch was all she could do But I would have to pay, Again!! I got pressed about having a receipt. I had taken another pair of pants with me that day that needed to be hemmed. I thought maybe she would even offer to do those for free for compensation, but the only solution was for me to pay for her to fix what she did wrong in the first place. Needless to say, I didn't leave my other pair of pants and found a new Tailor.
