Believe the two star reviews dear Yelpers, and consider other options…read more The Press Gallery did a good job on my floor-to-ceiling drapes but their professionalism leaves a lot to be desired. For example, I was told it would be 1-2 weeks for the service, and 2 weeks later, I still hadn't heard from them. Not cool, if the service is going to take longer than expected, the customer should be contacted in advance. I paid for take down and rehang service, so imagine my surprise when their driver stopped by (without contacting me in advance, as I had requested) just to drop off my drapes. He was equally surprised that he hadn't been told I paid for full service, and said he'd call the shop (it was clearly indicated on the receipt attached to my drapes - $84!). I didn't hear from them, again, so I called them. Oh yes, she said, we'll contact the company (CRDN) to do it. Then she never called me back to let me know a time. I had to call CRDN to find that out myself. I don't know anyone who has 2 days to wait around for a 15 minute curtain hanging job, so I was a little pissed after all this. Fortunately CRDN is good to deal with and understands the importance of timely communication. The fellow from CRDN seemed similarly aghast at the service I received but not surprised, which is telling. He also hinted that The Press Gallery overcharges for its services. At $400 for two sets of basic unlined linen drapes, not including the full service, I would agree. I suggest you try elsewhere.

It is my go to place because they use this Italian technology to clean your items that is moderately biodegradable, nontoxic and odour free. It is also PH neutral so it is gentle to the skin. One of my prized possessions is an Hermes scarf which I saved up for and bought about 8 years ago. I had never taken it to get cleaned until recently because A) I thought it might be crazy expensive to clean a fragile silk scarf, and B) I was worried it might be beyond cleaning, for over 8years of use I had let it get really dirty, and I didn't want it to be ruined in the process of the cleaning. Well, I could absolutely kick myself for not bring it to The Press Gallery sooner. They charged me something like $4.75 for the small scarf, and it came out looking like new!! So I waited 8 years for less then 5 bucks! These are the things they are supposed to teach you in "adult school" right??

For reference I am a 36 year old man that 5'0, needless to say I have had to get every pair of pants I have bought for about the last 20 years altered in some way or another and this place is by far the worst experience and end product that I have received. I brought 3x pairs of pants in on July 9 to be hemmed and tapered, $10 and $12 respectively on their website as I learned later, and was charged $60 per pair. I realized once I got home the huge price jump and figured I would address it and fix the error on pick up. Well pick up was delayed and they called to inform me of that initially, but then never called back to confirm when the pants were actually ready and left it to me to call them and check in. When I got there I asked about the price and was told that the website was 4 years old, strange since it had updated covid hours and is at the top of their receipt. I was also give a "break down" of the pricing by a woman that couldn't seem to keep her math straight and told me that the price goes up when they have to both hem and taper it and then just pointed at different parts of the pants saying random numbers, by her math I owed an addition $10 a pair by the end. As for the end product, it was honestly like they had forgotten that they were there and just took a pair of scissors to them, cut off a bit and then sewed a huge cuff back up. I would honestly recommend taking any future alterations to a high school home ec class or just donating them and the money you planned on spending on the alterations to goodwill.

Wasn't a long wait either, within a couple of days. Standard pricing - I tested it out with simple pant hems ($10 each) to see if they did ok, and will try going back with more complicated alterations.

Then he said he could wash all my coveralls for 20 dollars but not dry clean. I accepted this offer. Came back to pick up my clothes and his wife tells me 12 dollars a pair. And I said your husband said 20 For everything. She called me a liar and I tried explaining if I said no to 15 dollars for dry cleaning why would I be okay with 12 dollars and just a regular wash. I'd rather pay 3 dollars more and get it dry cleaned. She didn't care and Well I had to pay 50 bucks to get my shit back. Don't ever go here!! The Asian lady followed me to my car yelling at me because I told her that her husband said 20 and threaten to call the cops on me when I took a photo of her shop. Once my dog puked all over it and they were able to remove it 100%. The only thing would be having to wait 4-5 days to pick it up, so this may be due to the fact they are busy. Just something to keep in mind if you needed a certain turn around time for something. As I have never brought any garments here to dry clean, I can't give an opinion on that. But in the future if I need a suit or dress shirt cleaned, I wouldn't hesitate to bring it here.
