When I got home with the jackets, I saw that they had done the opposite; put buttons from Jacket B on Jacket A. I promptly returned to the cleaners and approached the lady who had helped me originally and had done the work (and made the mistake). All I asked was for her to make it right. Fortunately she had kept the buttons from Jacket A. I requested that she put the buttons on the jacket as I requested. She proceeded to tell me that I would have to pay another $50 to fix the mistake. I told her that I didn't feel I needed to pay double to correct her mistake. She tried to lower the fee (as a courtesy) to $25. I told her that I paid $50 to do a job and that she didn't do as I asked and I didn't think it was fair that I would have to pay another charge to do what was asked in the first place. Based on this, I will not return to use their services and am now out $50

Just like normal I tried on the shirt and he pinned it as a guide for alteration. I asked a cost and he said $17 per shirt. Not a big deal I'm used to paying $14 per shirt back home. When I got the shirts home and tried them on they fit well, the problem is the quality of the stitching. From the outside the material is bunched up in certain places and he did not trim the excess material on the inside. It's too late now because nothing can be done once the sides were stitched. Unfortunately there are not a lot of seamstress places close to where I'm staying and the ones here have terrible reviews. So I rolled the dice! It's not a super fancy shirt, just a Michael Kors cotton button-down; no polyester, lycra, or other blend of material. I tailor most of my clothes so I know what's right and what to expect. I can say this though, the owner was extremely nice, super friendly, with quick turnaround time - but like others have mentioned the tailoring is not very good. As far as dry cleaning goes he seems to have a lot of customers dropping off clothes.

This is the last time I will use the service. Beware that their is an unwritten no-refund policy and because of communication barriers no dispute will end fair.

I wore them with the exact shoes they were measured with and I did not wash or wear any of the pants. I brought all five pants back in the store and spoke with the owner directly, telling her that all five pants were too long and they were dragging on the ground. I asked if I could try them on and show her. She said that if the pants were too long, then it must be because I wanted them to be long. I said, "No, you have hemmed many of my pants and you know I do not like them that long." I asked again if I could try them on and show her. She said "No, it doesn't matter. I don't make mistakes. YOU must be the problem." She refused to even look at the pants, so I left. BEWARE! I have taken my alterations to Shockoe Bottom Cleaners with a total of ~15 pairs of pants to be hemmed over the past 18 months. I chose them because they are close to work. I have never had a problem with them prior to this week - they are usually very nice, as I am a regular. I feel a true measure of a store's integrity is how they view customer service and if/how they try to please their customer. I am a regular (they know me by face) and they still refused to treat me with respect. It is a shame because now they have lost me as a customer. (I cannot speak on behalf of their dry cleaning services, although they seem reliable.)
