It took them three days to starch my jeans and I got them back and they weren't even creased nor could I tell they were even starched.‍ I'm moving back to Wyoming where the dry cleaners starch your jeans to the point where the crease will slice you open and they're stiffer than cardboard. And after my horrible experience with Hancock Cleaners in Hancock village who wouldn't even take our items, due to a questionable smell in one of them, possibly by a cat, she shockingly and RUDLEY refused us service to the point where it actually felt personal, especially how she just turned around to the next person as if we didn't even exist anymore, and were just left standing there. And so my child (my witness) and I packed up all of our items till I could figure out where else to take them. Puritan Cleaners were the first one suggested to us by a friend who told us how this business is very involved in the community! (Wow-what a major plus!) Puritan Cleaners were not only able to to accept our items without question, but they were able to have them ready by the next day! Our items came out beautifully and that one questionable smell in one of our items was completely gone! So, bummer for the mean lady at Hancock Cleaners for missing out on an opportunity to make a nice profit on the amount of items we needed cleaned, along with gaining a potentially valuable long term customer. I guess a business like Hancock has the right to treat their potential customers any way they want, and even turn them away, (even though I was expressing extra kindness to her, maybe even to a fault, to try and make her feel bad for how enraged I was feeling on the inside-I know I know-sigh, it didn't work anyway). Sadly, it's bad (and very sad) customer service like that that can hit someone so deeply that one might take their anger out on someone else who may not deserve it. My point here is that in regards to Puritan Cleaners is that they were there to turn my "bad" experience around-and pretty much immediately! BONUS note: is that the young folks working there (that we spoke with and who helped us) were SO KIND and VERY helpful and seemed really happy to be of service. I told them my story briefly (without any kind of rant)-and they listened. Blessings to them! And yes I've worked in customer service for MANY years, and I know how challenging people can be at times to the point we sometimes just want to cry. All cleaners have a policy about what they will not be liable for but this one had quite the list. Basically if they ripped on your garment, jumped on it and left Nike foot prints then burned it, they wouldn't be liable....for some reason, I still left it but not after questioning the young man (who didn't know the name of the owners....shady, I know) who worked there about the policy. He actually said "What do you mean?" When I pointed to the sign ABOVE HIS HEAD, he read it for the first time and laughed. Anyway, yes I still left my dresses, commented that I would ask them to please be careful with the zippers, paid roughly $6 and left. When I went back to pick the dresses up on the following Monday after 5 as suggested, the dresses were ready on time and handing. Before I looked at them he said, "you'll notice that the zippers are fine" in a flirty tone (I could see why, I was looking good that day), and I did note it and went on my way. Fast forward to today, I took one of the dresses out of the garment bag in their plastic and my mint and grey Guess dress (yes the brand matters in this case) was no cleaner on the front than it had been when I dropped it off. The mint green crochet was on a grey overlay and you could see the normal dinge from being worn previously. The dress was brand new (first cleaning) when I took it to them AND I specifically said "just from wear and touching the garment, you'll note that the mint green has some subtle signs of wear, please pay attention". I should have looked att it when I went back but you would really think that you don't have to check to see if the garment was laundered. Honestly, now I know why the zipper wasn't broken...THE DRESS WAS NEVER DRY CLEANED. Go down the street and pay a few more dollars but stay away from this place, the convenient location isn't enough. The interior also looks like he got the machinery on consignment and decided to open a shop...I don't know what I was thinking except for "this is convenient".

For 2 short s& 3 blouses, I paid $23 total. The Black-owned family establishment offers friendly, fast, and high-quality service. I dropped my items off on a Tuesday afternoon and they were ready two days later. I will return, though I noticed that their daily specials have been reduced quite a bit when compared to earlier former promotions (i.e. 5% off for shirts on Tuesdays and pants on Wednesdays, when before it was a 20% discount...). Be sure to bring your invoice at pick-up to ensure a smooth process.
