After doing a set of laser sessions for brazilian and underarms at LaserAway, I realized the treatment did not work particularly well as a lot of my hair grew back and they were only slightly thinner. I purchased six sessions for SEV and I feel it has exceeded expectations widely. The hair is nearly gone on my treatment areas. All the staff members are extremely friendly and professional. The interior decor is very modern and minimalist. I feel welcomed and questions are all answered. I do not feel rushed to quickly leave the office either. Something about the customer service is just off. Definitely a quantity vs quality business. I did the Groupon and even though I called twice to make sure I was purchasing the right service, when I did the video pre-screening they said I bought the wrong one and of course I had to pay more. Of course they said the refund was up to Groupon and of course Groupon wouldn't refund me so I ended up having to buy 2 packages, 1 is useless. Even the nurse that did my service said I didn't really need the package I bought but there was no in between option. The ladies at the counter seem to have scripted responses for Groupon complaints. It's weird that there are tip jars. It's basically a medical service that should always be top notch. I don't get it. Not appropriate. Their appointment system is nonsense. You make an appointment. Yay. No. Two days before they text you. If you dont reply they cancel your appointment. That's not how appointments work. And if you cancel that late they charge a fee. So if you work out in the field in rural areas with no phone reception but plan to be back for your appointment, but no, you get home and it's canceled. Heaven forbid you are late but they have no problem making you wait. They have some scent in the lobby area that is overwhelming. I think it's a scented candle. It's only been 3 visits and my hair is much more sparse, thinned and slow to grow. The staff are very nice and professional and I love the aesthetic of the place. The only strange thing is that the nurses stay in the room while you undress and they don't provide any towel to cover up so I feel quite exposed as they ask me questions. There are a lot of different laser spots all throughout California but a friend recommended that I should try SEV. When you call them, they really give you their attention and answer any question that you have. They send you paperwork to fill out with a lot of information about safety precautions, aftercare and other medical information. Being a medical professional myself, this step really impressed me. Their staff includes licensed NPs that call you a day before your appointment to make sure medically you are safe before proceeding with the process and answer all medical questions you might have beforehand. When I came to the Walnut Creek location, their COVID protocols went so smoothly. You sit in your car before hand and they'll send you a text to come in. Once you step in the door, everyone has a mask on, there is plastic barriers to keep yourself safe as well as the employees, they take your temperature and make you wash your hands. LOVED IT. The front staff is also so sweet, they made me feel really comfortable and just made normal conversation while waiting. They are the sweetest girls! I had my laser done by Elisa and she's soooo sweet. It was my first time and knew I was nervous, she explained the entire process to me, made me feel really comfortable and asked me everything before doing it. It took less than 10 mins to be done- WOW. No scarring has occurred and I can't wait to use the rest of my groupon deal here. Each Groupon is specific to their location and only one per customer so it's recommended to use it for the largest area you want done if you're doing multiple so that way you're saving more money. i wish i could say their hair removal is effective but it's not- laseraway is more expensive but actually has permanent hair loss results. i first had 6 sessions with SEV for a brazilian and had basically 0 results even with increasing the laser intensity as needed. after 2 years post treatment i got sick of the hair and decided to try laseraway instead. their lasers are tenfold more effective, i've only had 6 sessions so far and haven't felt the need to go back to complete my last 2 sessions and it's been over a year since my last! that's how good the results are- i would say in the 3 areas i got treated i have between %50-%65 hair reduction. SEV is cheap for a reason, i dont think their equipment is as good as their competitor. read more

I'm well past 10 sessions and my hair is still growing back. It's obviously a lot thinner and a lot less but still frustrating. I've only had one nurse be thorough and the others seem to be lazy at their job. I've also noticed that unless I'm dressed up when I walk in, the front desk ladies are extremely rude when I have my leggings or sweatpants on. they've also given me the wrong appointment date on 2 occasions. After the first time it happened I repeated the date she gave me back to her and she confirmed it was correct so fast forward eight weeks later I go on that date and they tell me it's the wrong day. So I stopped having them give me the day, and I started selecting my own date and time myself on the SEV website. This is a yes! I was big on waxing so to have found this location that offers laser hair removal at an affordable price. Easy to locate in WC and parking lot usually has spaces but there's a garage nearby. The facility is cute and clean and all the staff were freindly. The service was fast in and out in 10 minutes & it was not painful. They run the machine over the skin and at the same time cool air is blown. It was a little odd changing with the tech in the room vs traditionally they would step out. Recovery was fine no issues. They recommend 4-8 weeks between laser hair removal services. I got my underarm treatment there and it worked really well. I went back for nose and upper lip. I scheduled 7 treatments/appointments on day one since they never have availability. It took over a year to get my appointments in since they kept having cancellation. (Always, something different, power outage, machine not working, someone sick/out). Regardless to say I was not happy but they were kind enough to give me 2 free treatments for the hassle. Regardless, my hair probably lessened by 50% at first and so I knew it was working. Now all the hair and more is back and it is thicker then before. I just had my 5 out of 6 appointments. I got the Groupon deal for my brazillian with underarms included. I suffer from ingrowns even tho I was, exfoliant, hydrate and all that stuff. Nothing works! My esti besties had been going to Sev laser so I finally caved. I'm so so glad I did. Hair has minimized (there's more on labia due to that being more difficult hair). I'm no longer suffering from ingrowns and my skin looks so much better. I feel more confident. If I need more sessions after the final 6th, I will still be going back to this location. I had laser hair removal on my armpits probably15 years ago. 6 sessions and no hair has returned. I don't remember the place since it was so long ago. I got my daughter the arm pit and lower legs. Keep in mind, both our hairs are not thick nor hairy. So I had high hopes and assumed like me after 8 sessions, she'll be hair free which wasn't the case. Yes, I mentioned my concerns to them. This place is super clean, well maintained and has really great pricing but the nurses are okay. I get full face and underarms. First time I went the nurse was really quick didn't & pretty laid back. A couple hours later I noticed I had a terrible reaction & so the next day I called to let them know and nurse Liya was so great, she answered all my questions & just so friendly I felt really comfortable with her. I did everything she recommended and in a couple days the swelling and blistering went away. About 2 weeks after that l I got a facial done else where and the lady noticed how I had some scaring from where I had the reaction and recommended I go somewhere else because they basically burned my skin. I didn't take her advice bc she wanted me to go to the clinic she worked at and so I felt like she was just trying to sell me on it. My next appointment came & this nurse was so sweet and genuinely concerned about my last visit so she said she was going to try a different setting. A couple hours later and no reaction! Yay! Welp, I should've made an appointment with her because my 3rd appointment wasn't so great. The nurse was very quiet and it hurt a couple times which it never hurt the last 2 so that was weird. I told her and she started changing things on the machine but wasn't really telling me what she was doing. I was in and out in under 15 mins. Once I was leaving I was told I wasn't able to set up my next appointment thanks to COVID 19. So they would give me a call when they open. Later that night.... the reaction came back! Woo. Blisters on my face, not as bad as the first time but still very uncomfortable and honestly not something I really want to have on my face! I don't want to be picky and complain so I'm just doing the same thing I was told to do by nurse Liya but now I'm afraid that I will have some pigmentation from this so I'm still debating if I should go back one last time but try to make an appointment with the second nurse or if I should just look elsewhere. Tonight I attended my second laser hair removal session. I purchased the Groupon deal which was a steal, and saves you a couple hundred dollars. Each room was clean and the staff were friendly. I had no problem making an appointment at this location. The laser hair removal doesn't hurt at all, seriously, it's less painful than waxing. SEV laser completes a consultation via FaceTime prior to your first visit, which saves time so you can immediately start your laser session upon your first visit.
