This was my first laser hair removal experience. I discovered this spa through groupon. I paid for 6 sessions of a medium area & selected my underarms. The staff made me feel very comfortable. They were friendly & knowledgeable. I reached out for a consultation on June 2nd & got an appointment on the 10th. I arrived about ten minutes late due to traffic but they managed to work around it & still honor my appointment. When I walked in I was greeted by front desk staff, then was taken in by Joanna & Agee. They explained every step of the way including the new machine they were using which made me feel at ease. Unfortunately, I got started on my six sessions a little late since you have to wait 3 to 4 weeks between sessions. I have to move out of state for school in August. Staff was extremely accommodating and worked with my schedule to ensure I get all of my sessions. My skin complexion is on the darker side so I needed a machine that could handle all skin tones. Not only did it target my hair & not burn my skin, it was completely painless. Joanna did a great job. I wanted to write this review after some time went by from my first appointment which was on June 10, 2021. Three weeks later, & I've only had to shave twice. I recently received this email from Dr. Kim (ironically right after I posted my updated review - please see below) stating that an email was sent out letting us know they would be closed for 6 weeks. (I checked my email - nothing was sent) and that they would be reopening April 18 with a "new and experienced staff". My botched appointment with them was March 19. Bait & Switch Discounts! Buyer Beware I replied to an ad that Andes Med Spa had on Facebook offering $10 per unit. I replied right away by giving my information on their submission form. This was on October 28. Shortly after I received and email letting me know that someone would reach out to me via text to make an appointment. On November 3 I received a text that simply asked if I wanted to make an appointment with their "injector." I replied by asking if this was for the $10 per unit special. The reply back stated that their special was only for the month of October. That wasn't in the ad, that wasn't in the initial reply I received confirming my submission, and wasn't in any subsequent contact. I learned of the "expiration" after they confirmed my interest in services and contacted me for an appointment. What's especially telling - they knew I responded to me via their ad. When they reached out to me on November 3 wouldn't one think they would start with "Hey, the offer you replied to has expired but we would love to see you anyways at our standard rates - They didn't do that. Had I not confirmed I wonder when they would have told me? After I went to their office? After a consultation? After a treatment? Bait and switch. read more

I have just gotten my 3rd laser session a few days ago with Joanna who was doing my service with Ms. Darrill. I have had nothing but a great and comfortable experience since I started getting laser hair removal sessions at Andes. Prior to Andes I have already had over a dozen sessions at SEV Laser in Walnut Creek who are also really good but there definitely are differences in their lasers. The laser at SEV you feel almost everything, the zaps, the burns, all of that. It doesn't hurt much but you do feel it. The laser they have at Andes you feel nothing even at the highest setting .... or maybe that is just the way Joanna does the job. She is very gentle and very thorough and even at the higher intensities of the laser I have not had any discomfort at all. Joanna will ask you a bazillion questions to make sure you are comfortable and pays attention to every detail. The hair has barely grown back! The location is very comfortable in a office building in Concord. It is very comfortable and clean inside with a lot of parking outside. Also the girl in the front desk, her name is Masooma is pretty awesome, very kind and professional. I've had to reschedule a couple of times and her and Joanna have been more than accommodating when rescheduling me or moving me to a later time. I went to Andes Med Spa to refresh my overall appearance after a milestone birthday. My appointment was with Joanna, and let me tell you she's amazing! At no time did anyone try to upsell me anything I didn't need, there was no pressure to do more, and everyone in the office was very friendly and hospitable. I've never had lip fillers before and was a little afraid of that duck lip look. Joanna took the time to show me before and afters of other patients who wanted a natural look just like I did, along with the process, what filler we were using and why. Joanna is meticulous when it comes to injections and it definitely shows that she loves what she does. She explained the whole process to me, and was constantly making sure that my lips maintained symmetry and a natural look. She made sure to check in with me to see how I was feeling and if I was comfortable. She explained what I should expect for healing and welcomed me to call with any questions. I had a chemical peeling with Ciara on August 1st . The place is nice , the staff is very friendly and courteous . Ciara explained the procedure before and while doing it, she is very detailed , knowledgeable and caring. The peeling worked very well for my skin. I saw a moderate improvement on my dark spots by the next day. I do recommend the Andes Spa, they have very good professionals. I do believe that according to a negative review I read there is room for improvement regarding communication from the Nurse that applies botox/ dysport , because after my consultation I also thought we were talking about botox, however, we can't judge an entire company for one professional, she is nice and kind, just need to adhere to what the customer wants, or be very transparent when talking about another product. read more

I have been coming to this business for almost one year now, For laser treatments which I absolutely love. The staff is great and knowledgeable. My only complaint and this has been very recently, the office never answers their phone. I leave voice messages and no one ever returns my call. I used to receive texts, email, phone call reminders for my appointments and I was even able to see them on whatever scheduling system they have/had. Now I get absolutely nothing so I'm stuck trying to confirm my appointment to make sure I got the dates and the time correct and no one answers their phone. Very frustrating. I purchased a Groupon for Botox and laser hair removal. I was so excited because this was my first time getting Botox. I went in for laser hair removal first and then Botox. When I went in for Botox I was seen by Joanna (head nurse). I told her I had purchased a Groupon package and she automatically asked me what I wanted treated and I told her my forehead. She asked me to scrunch up my face and tried to immediately start injecting me. I asked her to wait and told her I was nervous and if she could explain the process since it was my first time getting Botox. She told me she would only use a little bit since I had purchased a Groupon and again asked me to scrunch up my face and started injecting. Everything felt so rushed and then at the end of our appointment she told me that if I left her a good review on Yelp she would include a free upper lip laser hair removal session on my next visit and when she saw the confusion on my face she added, "unless you'd like to pay for it". Two days later I woke up with "droopy eyebrows"; for clarification, my eyebrows were pushed down causing me to look angry. I was so distressed and called and asked to speak to the manager. I received a call back from Dani the business owner and I explained the situation and he apologized for how unprofessionally Joanna had handled my appointment and reassured me I wouldn't have to speak to her or see her again. We talked about how she should've drawn out lines/ dots indicating where she'd inject and that I could go in and someone else would see me to correct the issue. I also mentioned how I had purchased and went in for a laser hair removal appointment but hadn't seen any improvements and he also apologized and told me that the laser hair removal machine would be down and under inspection and that I would receive a call when it was available again but I never did receive a call back. I ended up going back for my correction appointment and saw a different nurse. Apparently, this nurse had no idea I'd be going in for a correction appointment and I overheard her telling the secretary she'd just go ahead and do the correction since I "have a tiny forehead and don't need much Botox anyway."The following day, I got a call from Joanna telling me that the person who saw me was trained by her and that the "correction" she had done wouldn't fix anything and that I needed to go back AGAIN to see her so that she could fix my "droopy eyebrows." I was so upset ! I told her that I didn't understand why I was getting a call from her since the owner told me I wouldn't have to talk to her anymore and she told me that he knew she was calling and that he told her to call me. At this point I didn't feel comfortable going back and receiving any more services from this spa so I called and asked for a refund. I was told by the secretary that I would get a call within a week to pick up my refund check but never did. I called back several times and asked to speak to the owner but never received a call back. It has been over a month, and after many calls and emails I still haven't received a refund or a call back addressing this. This is my first time ever leaving a business a bad review. I've only used Yelp to leave positive reviews but the way I was treated is unfair. Not issuing a refund just isn't right. Theirs no way I would feel comfortable returning and getting laser hair removal treatments here. I tried reaching the owner, Dani for OVER a month through many phone calls, I left messages and sent emails simply asking to please get a refund and was completely ignored. Buyer Beware-I have been wanting to explore other botox clinics, so came to this place because it was referred to me by a friend. I also wanted to take advantage of their new patient discount of $10 per unit. When I made the appt, I told them I had the $160 Groupon, but I wanted to get additional units using their new patient promo. I was told no problem and made my appt for a week out. Upon arrival they had me sign a quick form and took me back almost immediately by "Danielle" the medical assistant. She asked me what areas I was interested in, so i explained what I typically do and also brought up my Groupon and how I know I was going to need more than the 16 covered, but was planning to purchase more under the $10 pricing. She seemed uncomfortable responding to that and told me I would need to talk to "Megan" (my nurse) to go over costs and how much i need etc. I thought her response was a little odd, but figured maybe that was outside of her job duties. She swabbed my areas of injection with alcohol and told me Megan would be in shortly for me. I think i waited about 5 mins before I was greeted by Megan in my room. She seemed very nice, down to earth, and took the time to listen to me and my areas of concern etc. I didn't feel "sold" by her at all and felt she was giving her honest opinion on her treatment suggestions. After that discussion was over, I mentioned that "Danielle" had told me to talk to her about the new patient pricing and my groupon that would cover 16 units. She also seemed apprehensive on answering, but explained that they had recently pulled the Groupon and are trying to weed people out and that they are no longer honoring the $10 discount. I was shocked at this news, so explained the whole situation and how my friend was just there and their special was the main reason I even picked their clinic in the first place. She sincerely seemed to understand and told me she would talk to "Lina" and find out if they can still honor the pricing for me. I could over hear the conversation between them outside and could tell it wasn't going in my favor. I also heard Megan tell Lina to please explain it to me ( probably because she didn't want to be the one to do so and i don't blame her). Lina came in the room shortly after & I got a totally different vibe immediately. Her initial presence of "pleasantness" was extremely fake and quickly turned condescending and defensive when I didn't just accept her answer. I'm a very rational person, but was taken back by her attitude. She told me they could only honor my groupon with 16 units, but any additional would be at their regular price of $15. I about fell out of my seat with the price difference and responded that their prices were really expensive. Her response "that's the going rate in the area". (Mind you I've been getting Botox for about 10 years now and know 100% that is not true. This isn't Danville and these are not medical Dr's injecting patients. Try $12-$13 Max. ) I responded "that that isn't true, but OK". I tried to remain calm and took the time to explain to her again my interaction with scheduling, how my friend that referred me was just there with the same deal, and also brought up their instagram ad for new patients. She told me that they just took it down last week and just like retail they can't honor a sale that ended. Also, told me that I can't stack deals. All i could do was laugh and shake my head. Needless to say I left shortly after. This place has the worst business practice. The whole situation was strange and really shady. Not only did they lose my business, I will make sure anyone I come in contact with does not go there. Hopefully saving a lot of people from the waste of time I experienced. The bad reviews are 100% true. I find some of them amusing.. look at "Steven C" He quotes "he was told the $10 per unit new patient special was their "October Special". Interesting, because Lina told me they pulled it last week. Sketchy much? Yes! I also find it very funny that "Lina" AKA Employed by Andes Med Spa has left her own 5 star review explaining how $15 is fair per unit pricing. Nice try! My first visit to Andes Med Spa I expressed to Johana how disappointed I was with my laser hair removal results I got from Sev Laser after completing six sessions. I was very hesitant to try laser hair removal again, but Johanna assured me that the lasers that are used at Andes Med Spa are different and uses more advance technology. I can tell you that I started seeing significant results after my third session with Johanna. The laser treatments are far less painful then Sev and staff is so personable and friendly. Johanna does a great job at making you feel comfortable and is very knowledgeable. I came for the laser treatments, but now I'm looking forward to trying the other services like fillers and body contouring. I am not new to Botox but saw an ad that they were offering Botox for 1st time clients for $10 a unit. I jumped on that! Joanne took care of me and what I REALLY loved about her was she explained everything. I wasn't treated like just another person walking through the door for injections. The 1st time I got Botox years ago, one of my eyes dropped for 6 months. She explained why that happened and made me realize clearly that the person who did the injections then didn't know what they were doing. I felt so happy about her knowledge and expertise that I will be back for more things. I'm not trying to look younger but rather preserve what I have a little longer. This is my first experience getting laser hair removal, and I am Very pleased with the atmosphere of the spa, the attendants working, and I look forward to the results! I found this company through Groupon, and purchased 6 sessions for lower legs. I was able to book my first appointment within a few days, and had no issues finding the place along parking being very easy. After completing my lower legs, I had her add on armpits during my first session, no problem. They were able to give me a Groupon price without the code. I greatly appreciate them working within my budget. They were able to work around my work schedule, now that I'm back at work, and the assistant was kind and patient when booking my future appointments. I just finished my second session, and hoping to start my bikini line along with upper lip. The process is painless and the atmosphere is calming with aromatic freshness filling the cool air. The technician, Joanne is careful and precise, making sure not to miss anything by going over trouble spots many times. She is easy to talk to as the sessions take some time (15-20min) and makes great conversation while making you feel like you're catching up with a friend. We were late due to multiple accidents on the freeway and called in ahead to let them know, they said ok on the phone but when we got there she said our appointment was basically cancelled and that if we wanted another one we would have to reschedule and pay again. I have really mixed feelings about this place. I love my results however they are very unorganized. My first appointment they were over 30min behind and never said anything to me so I just waited in the lobby. My second time I went in for my laser appointment and the lady didn't even know how to use the machine. It was throwing some weird error alarm and she had to go get someone to show her how to work it. I had an appointment today at 2:15 and they just rescheduled it for 3:15 without a call or text. I received and email after the fact. So I went in for my appointment that I scheduled over a month ago and the place was closed. Heard about the $10 per unit promotion and thought about giving it a try. When I contacted them to schedule an appointment I was notified that the promotion ended in October and I would have to pay the standard $15 a unit price which is average in the Bay Area. That was totally okay, I don't mind paying for good service! Spoke to the nurse about my concerns and that I wanted lip filler but wasn't fully prepared for the commitment so she suggested a lip flip instead. I'm scared of needles but Joanna eased my mind and was so gentle I barely felt a pinch. All the ladies were very caring and helpful and I will definitely be back for lip filler soon!
