We were a party of 25 celebrating a birthday. We asked for a private room and no one new anything! Not even the manager!!! His attitude was the worst. The service poor. No knowledge of the words " excuse me" can I get you anything ", Was your meal ok,". We waited for our food over 1 hr. Pizza was burnt! Soda over priced, and I could go on. On top of all this we could not get a separate bill ! And they gave themselves a 20% gratuity. But the icing on the cake was charging my card the wrong price. I will never go back again. We had reservations that we made weeks ago. Our table wasn't even set or reserved. The hostess had blue hair and a bandana with old jeans. She looked like she came from working in the garden. DO NOT EAT HERE! I would give this place 0 stars if I could. We came to eat for a late lunch and took an outdoor table closer to the street. As we were eating our appetizer salads, the owner decides to water his potted plants located right behind us. Within a matter of seconds, myself and the other person in my party got soaking wet and dirty with topsoil. Better yet, the bottom of our table flooded with water. When we told him to stop and that he was being inconsiderate, he responded with "the hostess will find you another table". Visited here last Saturday night with a group. Ordered a pasta entree, AGNOLOTTI CON MOZZARELLA, which is a ravioli with pesto cream sauce. It did not come with a salad. It did not come with a vegetable. No bread for the table. I was 5 average-sized (1.25-1.5" square) raviolis in sauce...for $15 and one super tiny slice of italian loaf bread..not even 2" across. I am not a big eater. I can't manage an appetizer and an entree or usually even finish an entree. But to get neither a vegetable, a salad, bread basket, anything...it was kind of lacking. The flavor was fine. the sauce was good. They carefully spread the raviolis all around the plate so it didn't look as skimpy as it was. Interesting to note, I bought fresh ravioli at Aldi for ($2.49 for 11 of the same size) and it was just as good. I love the charm of Sette Luna. That portion was just super disappointing. And I had to consciously eat it super slow so as not to finish 10 minutes before everyone else at the table. Finally, Italian fine dinning in the Lehigh Valley! It's a quaint, cozy little place with cafe style seating outside. Quality ingredients that really shine with flavor. Olive Garden people need not apply -- if you want "egg noodles and ketchup" go to the mall! This is the good stuff, homemade, rustic and hearty. They charge a little higher than a pizza joint but the value for money is amazing because of the quality of cooking. Elegant sauces and rich broths -- these people have excellent technique. DW and I are back into a routine where we eat out in Downtown Easton on Monday nights before we attend a local class. We stopped by Sette Luna and had a very nice dinner. Arriving at about 5:30, there was no wait for a table. Our server was very professional and helpful. Both our App's and Dinners were as expected and were delicious. The menu cocktails were great and there was no scrimping on the alcohol content. A large group was seated near us before we departed and, while being very loud and in a party mode, were'nt a big problem or distraction. We will be adding Sette Luna to our routine as we continue our classes for the next several months. Highly recommended! read more

WAY too overpriced for what it is. We went for a dinner party- there were 10 of us. The atmosphere was cute, translate: cozy, but then when other guests of the place started coming in it was smooshed, not cute. The service was the worst part because we didn't know who was in charge of our table as they just have anyone coming over and plopping food on table, fetching water, taking orders so it seemed like they all just do everything there, which isn't entirely bad of a thing if the servers actually looked and acted like they liked their jobs. At Sette Luna all the servers look miserable. One even had shorts on which was super unprofessional. I mean, if you are going to charge the same money for a (smaller portion) than The Melt in bethlehem, then act superior in taste and service!! Our bill was over $500 and only a few drinks were ordered in total. Meal taker seemed put off when asked about special dietary needs of our guest. Too bad tip was included in the bill, but lucky for her. The risotto was so small and completely overpriced! The medium sized shrimps were so over cooked it was like my 5 year old tried cooking for the first time. (La Compangia in Quakertown has a magnificent risotto with giant succulent shrimps for less money and the portion is huge- in case anyone wants to know a great hole in the wall, plus it's BYOB). Pizza was just ok, nothing special. Pasta was the one thing everyone agreed on that was tasty. I will never go back here to dine. It was one of the worst places I have gone to eat dinner. Came here after a day at Crayola experience with my parents and children. While it's certainly not child-centric, the staff were very accommodating and wonderful to my kids. Pizza available. My son said it was The best pizza he'd ever eaten, and I would have to agree. The pasta was also delicious. We all left full and thrilled with the service and quality of the food. read more

I think this is another case of folks in the area mistaking a restaurant for excellent because other choices in the area are more dismal. Given the prices charged I expect bruschetta and pizza to not come to the table with burned, charred crusts. It's amazing that a pizza can be burned and mushy. How the hell does that happen?? Our server was vaguely unpleasant - very pushy trying to up sell booze and not particularly interested that we weren't interested. I don't have kids, but was dining out with a friend's children. The pizza for the children was not sliced well and as noted above burnt. On a mixed note, the butternut squash ravioli had good flavor but unfortunately was over cooked and mushy. Overall I'm comfortable taking a big fat pass on this place. Other folks may enjoy it but I found it to be overwhelmingly mediocre. read more

Sette Luna can be hit or miss. I have been coming here for a little while now and have had both positive and negative experiences. On a nice warm, sunny day, dining al fresco here is quite nice. However, I would avoid sitting at the very small bar area as it can be quite cramped since everyone waiting for a table tends to congregate here. Their pizzas are quite good - crispy thin crusts and flavorful toppings. Standouts are the Giuseppe Margherita (spinach, prosciutto and roasted red peppers) and Piemontese (white pizza with sautéed mushrooms and gorgonzola). I tend to judge any Italian restaurant based on their Bolognese sauce (the ultimate sauce, really). This classic sauce can really be butchered if done incorrectly. Theirs was meaty and rich, but I felt there was a touch too much cream, but good overall. The surprising disappointment came on my last visit. My partner ordered the osso buco and I ordered the spring lamb. The osso buco was tasty but my spring lamb, although tender was way overpowered by the orange flavor to the extent of bitterness; not very palatable at all. Service can be sketchy at peak times but it is not as terrible as some of the other reviews stated. There is a solid beer selection and extensive wine menu as well. Prices are quite reasonable altogether. I certainly will be back, but it will be for their pizza only. read more

I've been to this restaurant twice. I enjoyed Sunday "jazz" brunch so I came back again with my family for my birthday. We had a party of 10 and 5 of us ordered the Tuscan Benedict, which is the main feature of their bunch menu. When the food arrived all but one of the 10 eggs of our plates were overcooked. Poached eggs are an integral part of eggs benedict and that completely messed it up. We were all so hungry that most of us ate our food without sending five plates back. My husband sent his back. He got new, poached eggs but no consideration from the staff. If you are going to charge $11 for eggs then you should get something as simple as poached eggs right. There also was no "live" jazz for their jazz brunch, just a CD. Last time I checked there was no shortage of jazz bands in this town looking for gigs. I emailed the owners since the brunch was such a disappointment but never got a response. I won't be going there again. read more

This place would get four stars, but the service is terrible. You also have to pay for bread -- come on now. Our waitress was trying to do 1,000 things at once and made me wonder why they don't just hire more people. The kitchen is "open" so customers can see what's going on behind the counter -- which I like. But one of the chefs (wearing zebra-striped pants) kept coming out to holler at the waitresses and he was just stressing them out and making things worse. It seems like this place is too popular for its size. They don't take reservations, which could also be a problem. While waiting for a table, they have you wait in a very crowded bar area, and waitresses are constantly coming through with trays, making it even more crowded. The restaurant has a "call ahead" policy, and to its credit we called ahead only a half hour and were seated after 5 or 6 minutes. So we didn't have to wait for long in the crowded bar area. I will admit that the food was really good. I had the butternut squash pasta and pizza, and both were superb. Maybe if they have take-out (not sure if they do) that would be the best option. No matter how good the food is, the service has to be at least mediocre in order for me to really want to come back. read more

This is definitely one of the places I miss. One of the common places the group would go out to for Friday lunch. They have specials with a salad and half a pizza. I've had the shade tree(?) panini which has portobella mushrooms and other ingredients and it's really good. My favorite has to be the pizza though. It's personal sized, and sports a thin crust. I've tried a couple of different ones, but I'm a sucker for the Pavia Bianca, a white/sauceless pizza with gorgonzola and baby arugula. Every time I get the bianca, I leave happy. I've been there for dinner twice. They have pretty good dinner food as well. I also applaud them on having St. Bernardus Christmas Ale, which was delicious and I haven't been able to find it anywhere (the bartender told me they were one of the few, if not the only, to get it). There are a couple things that I'm not quite a fan of... The service can be so-so. After many meals there, it seems as if you order just pizza, the order comes out relatively quick. Throw sandwiches in the mix...instantly add 10-15 more minutes. I've been to a couple Italian restaurants that give you bread while you wait for your meal. Sette Luna, however, gives you a TINY bowl of mixed olives. I can't drop this rating down from a 5 since their pizza always puts a smile on my face. That Pavia Bianca will always be something I'll remember. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Shocked by all the knocks on the service. It's like some of you were at a different place than I was tonight. They were prompt, courteous, professional... and most importantly, human. Food was excellent. Agnolotti & pizzas were both unique & tasty choices. They have several options of each. This time of year they have both indoor & outdoor seating, which is nice. As a bonus, the beer & wine lists are great. As a big beer fan, I was surprised they had such a large & cool selection of Belgian beers as well as US craft beers. I am obsessed with Sette Luna. You must try the Giuseppe pizza. I have had it three different times and the first two were the best pizza I have ever had, and I've had a LOT of pizza. The third wasn't as good (I came right before closing..don't know if that had anything to do with it) but it was still very good. Also try the pizza with egg and truffles...amazing. I'm also a beer nerd and they always have an interesting beer selection. Super intimate and cozy and outdoor seating is nice in the summer! Sooooooooo good! Seriously delicious on a whole next level. We had lentil salad, eggplant salad, two pizzas, beet buratta and three pastas. Omg just amazing! The craziest part was that I usually am so sleep after eating so much bread and pasta, but their ingredients are such good quality that I felt absolutely fine and awake, which never ever happens. Amazing food, quality, service and atmosphere with lovely jazz music. Although I have to warn, the tiramisu has like more than a shot of brandy at the bottom, very strong, so make sure you're not underage, pregnant or dislike the taste of strong brandy. read more
