My home flooded and Servpro came out to do clean up and later demolition to prepare for reconstruction. The crew was careless and broke both my refrigerator legs and freezer shelf as well as stored the dishwasher on its hose (breaking that). In regard to the refrigerator, I saw (what I thought was the leg) and asked the workers before they left the house to fix the newly wobbly fridge. When they were leaving for the day, they did not attempt to fix the problem, and the leg mysteriously disappeared. I contacted the office immediately (workers still at my house). I was told that this would be taken care of ASAP. That was over two months ago. The dishwasher hose got taken care of as I purchased the replacement and had a handy person install it. The refrigerator was another matter. I have been going back and forth for months with Servpro regarding the refrigerator/freezer. Kallie, Anthony, and Rick have all talked a good talk, but nothing has happened and each person has passed me along to the next. Two things that really are upsetting is that if they will do this to my face, it has me question their integrity and wonder about what they did when I was not looking. It has me questioning their work, did they spray as much chemicals as I was charged for? Did that upsale really need to be done? etc. Second, I asked insurance to pay them directly. They were paid first and received something around $16,000 and they have nickel and dimed the repairs and the only thing completed is what I had control of. I hope to update this with a positive review or resolution, but if you see this Un updated, please consider yourself warned, do yourself a favor and stay away. I am also in talks with my insurance agent to see what actions I can take about them being a recommended company. If this does not get resolved soon, I intend to take future actions. If you need their services, you are probably not having the best of times, do not let Servpro make a bad time worse for you. Use their competition. read more

Andy and his crew and Shane and his crew were both excellent. They helped us to save a lot of our house from a leak, and were very thorough in the water remediation process. We greatly appreciated them. In the end, it seems like we have way less damage than what we thought we were going to have, and were grateful to SERVPRO for helping us save our home. They were very helpful in answering our questions, and very thorough in explaining what was going on. I also liked that they gave us advanced notice (30 minutes +) before coming out to our home, and were very kind and provided excellent customer service. They were prompt, attentive and solved the problem -- preventing further damage to wood floors and base cabinets. I should mention that the first incident (fire) occurred 3 days before leaving on an overseas trip. We had a major flood at the property I manage and from the beginning to the end the Servpro team was exceptional. I have to amend my review for this place as the first review was bullsh!t and only written to get 10% off the outrageous amount I was charged for very little work done. My finished basement flooded with over 15" of storm water on 12/20/2019 and under duress of the situation, and I hired these guys to help me with my problem. I told them that my insurance had already told me that the damages weren't covered because the water was from outside of the house. Yet they still charged well over $18,000 to haul away the carpet, remove damaged items, and flood soaked clothing. I did everything else myself otherwise my bill would have been closer to $30,000. Among the damaged items removed was an Xbox 1 that had been sitting on the floor when the basement flooded. I didn't even think about the fact that my credit card information was stored in the hard drive. Fast forward to April/May 2020 when I noticed that there were some charges from my Xbox on my credit card. I called Microsoft customer service and they identified that the charges did indeed come from my Xbox using the serial number for it. Lucky for me they refunded the charges and remotely deleted my credit card information from the hard drive. So did servpro sell my Xbox or did one of their employees take it home themselves? Did they sell any of my other belongings that they told me would be disposed of? I wish that I could afford to sue these guys for breach of contract and negligence. My apartment caught on fire last August, and my apartment complex recommended this company so I went with them because I didn't even really know what to do after a fire. They came like the next day which was awesome because I was quite anxious to get everything back to normal as soon as possible. Now my problem isn't with the job they did because they did get my apartment back to normal and in a good amount of time. My problem is with the COST they charged my insurance and the actual work that was done doesn't add up. Not to mention I didn't get a lot of my shit back that SHOULD have came back. Even the guy who came out Kevin told me I'll get it back in insurance which ISN'T TRUE so I personally came out of pocket for a lot of shit. I'm not very happy with that at all still til this day. They claimed things didn't come back because they were too "damaged" but I KNOW that's a lie. Case in point I had TWO metal mixing bowls, exact same bowls by the way. ONE CAME BACK. The other DID NOT. Both in the same place when the fire took place, so why would only ONE come back. Kana and Carter came out that night, and they thoroughly explained the process of what needed to be done and rolled up their sleeves and got to work. We had just had our downstairs remodeled, and they were extremely careful not not to damage our new floors. The next day, Nick and Andy came out to follow up on the project. They wcen wrapped our Christmas tree and protected every surface. After they left, you could not notice that anyone or anything was even in our home. My insurance company provided their number to me when I needed a pack out & pack in. For a 850 sq apartment my insurance stated they will be able to cover the moving expenses. This was until the invoice came for 26k. Ridiculous charge of $800 for bubble wrap, $1000 for cardboard boxes, and charges for their incompetency in time. The project Coordinator Lee Tran who orchestrates the nightmare will charge you for his mess ups. Servpro will make you sign paperwork to iron clad you in paying the difference your insurance doesn't cover after they have your items in storage as prisoners. The horror continues when they bring your items back to brand new flooring after you have warned them to protect the floors you find large dents and scratches. I had to seek legal help to deal with the mess. Don't trust your insurance if they point you this way! Ask for alternative. Save your self from these out right crooks. read more

I wish I could select 0 Stars or -5 stars. I manage an apartment complex and called Servpro out to our site after a resident left a sink on all night and flooded their downstairs neighbors unit. At a previous job I used Servpro and always had great service, and I can't even begin to tell you how disappointed and shocked I was when I encountered the crews and staff members this time around. First and foremost the "business hours" crew came out and spent hardly a hour in the unit. It was 2pm on a Friday, and obviously they had plans or somewhere to be. My office is literally next door to the unit they were in. They sneaked off site and left without checking in. What did they do in the hour they spent in the unit you ask? Created a larger mess, broke a bathroom mirror and left the shattered glass (in this occupied apartment) all over the bathroom, left the carpet SOAKING wet...literally caused more damage and fixed nothing at all. When I found out they left I was LIVID. I called the supervisor who had been on site prior to their arrival who continued to mock and laugh at my frustration... then sent out another crew who took 2 hours to arrive causing me to stay at work late at this point. Mind you, we called Servpro originally now 10 hours prior.... The now "after hours" crew according to their falsified invoice, spent maybe 2 hours... which we in turn were invoiced for 6, yes 6, hours of "after hours" work. The crew also tore out baseboard down the hall and in a bathroom not at all affected by the water leak, nor did they clean up the glass broken by the previous crew. At this point now, 7 different employees from Servpro have let us down. When I got the invoice... I seriously had to laugh. 6 hours of after hours service charged, 2 hours of regular business hours service charged, charges for removal of the trim board that was not asked of them and to my surprise a charge for asbestos testing... lol... so you're telling me that all the while causing more damage then the leak caused, making me stay late at work, not drying the carpets, not cleaning up, etc. that you had time to cut a bit of the drywall and drive to a lab for testing!? Well that's completely false as well. I used to work in a lab where we tested bulk material for asbestos... they did not remove any material and take for testing and I sure never saw or heard of any test results. So when I received this invoice on January 10th (remember now today is March 15th), I immediately sent an e-mail to all parties involved. I again sent e-mails and left voicemails following up on: January 11th, January 18th, February 8th, February 9th and February 22nd. How many more Servpro employees was in contact with via e-mail you ask? 4 more. That now leaves me with 11 employees of Servpro who treated me and my company with disrespect including: lies, being shady, damaging property, not completing work, laughing, mocking and now ignoring. I have worked within the customer service industry for 11 years now. Never in my life have I encountered employees or a business who treated a customer with such disregard, a customer mind you, who would love to pay them but would like to have an invoice corrected and concerns listened to. Wouldn't you like to know if you had employees lying, leaving early, damaging property, etc.? Well apparently Servpro could care less. Now on March 15th I called the office and was finally directed to a "supervisor" who is just now reading my 2 months worth of e-mails, and then would like to challenge me and curious as to why I am so frustrated with her.... I think I've made my point, but what I would like to express is use ANY OTHER COMPANY for your water extraction, clean up, restoration whatever services Servpro apparently takes care of. We called these guys when we sustained water damage in our basement after a storm. To their credit, they sent someone out really quickly. The person who came did a quick job, drew up a floor plan, and promised to email us an estimate by 3 pm the next day. One week later, we still haven't heard from him despite several phone calls. In the meantime, another company came, gave us an industrial fan to dry out the basement and pull water out of walls, then did another assessment, and necessary demolition. If we waited for ServPro we would still be living with moldy wet carpets. read more

First I would never recommend anyone to this company. Not even my worst enemy. Where to start. I live in a huge complex. The water line broke in the hallway right in front of my door. Servpro came in, got it dry and took care of things. That was great. But then the wait. After about a month ServPro started to finally begin work on restoration because they had to wait for the insurance to pay out. Ok, fine, I get that. They can't afford to start on a huge project because they probably aren't funded well enough to take that hit. I'm patient. My family was displaced into another apartment because the damage in our unit was pretty significant. We were patient. We understood. There's red tape and approvals and what not. We get it. But after over three months that they were approved money nothing ever got taken care of. I kept asking the property manager, she kept asking them. Kevin from ServPro would tell her and myself, a couple more weeks, we'll have you back in there. When that deadline came and left we got the whole 'another couple weeks' song and dance. I myself finally had to call the actual company HR and complain. Man! Where they on top of it. After me complaining and threatening to report them to the Better Business Bureau they kicked Kevin of the project and put Jason Weigel in. Great! Jason told me that he's gonna have some guys come in, measure and get things ordered and have me back in my apartment. It literally took a group of guys ONE DAY to finish cleaning and little things to be done. My family and I were waiting THREE MONTHS! I got the promise that a new bathroom vanity was ordered and it was on back order. That he would get in contact with me in about six weeks. Guess what, six weeks came I finally had to email them and I was told they have to order my vanity and they need access to my unit to get measurements. Uuuhhhh they had over 4 months of complete access to my apartment. And wait, didn't Jason tell me it was already ordered? Well apparently Jason doesn't want to answer my question of why he told me it was ordered and it wasn't and deflected his answer on to it being my fault stating "I will not get into any kind of debates of "why" anything was done or was not done. You have had to many conversations with to many people and I have no control over your take away from any of that." Uuuhhmmmmm I talked to Jason and Shannon McDonald and Kevin....all from ServPro. But I guess it's my fault. There is absolutely no integrity anywhere with that company. I have emails and documentation and I have a letter that is ready to be sent to the BBB. Hoping to get more signatures from others that were affected at this property also. Please don't trust them at all. They seem super nice and concerned. They'll even give you a big long line of 'Oh you all were so patient and nice and we appreciate your patience. We'll send you a spa basket with rum' No thank you. I just want my apartment back to normal and done correctly. That's it. Keep your basket. ServPro provided work to our HOA after our building suffered damage from a leaking roof. We hired them based on good experiences several homeowners had had in the past, but we were seriously disappointed with our interactions with them during this project. Our first complaint is that there was a vast discrepancy between ServPro's estimate and their actual billing. While we understand these figures often differ, the final bill was a 64% increase (multiple thousands of dollars) above the original estimate. At no point during the project did any ServPro employees mention the increase to anyone in the building. When we requested an explanation for the new charges, ServPro claimed that mold growth might have spread between the inspection and the start of work. However, since this interval was under a month, any mold growth in that time could not have been substantial enough to warrant such a huge increase. The discrepancy is especially suspect given that ServPro did not work on some units that had been included in the estimate. In addition, we were extremely displeased with ServPro's customer service. Beyond having neglected to consult with us regarding any additional work they felt needed to be undertaken, it was always extremely difficult to reach them for scheduling and questions. There was rarely a project manager on our premises, despite assurances than one would be available. Many of our phone inquiries were referred not to management, but to a Human Resources representative, who was unfamiliar with the details of our project. ServPro's work crew also exhibited a lack of professionalism. While running multiple large machines at the same time, the crew failed to bring in a generator to avoid overloading the building's circuit. Our electrician and a number of other construction professionals have indicated that in such circumstances, it is standard procedure to either bring in a generator or to create a designated, separate circuit. These same professionals have said that this oversight may well have contributed to the outage and subsequent electrical fire on the building's ground floor while ServPro's crew was at work. With no supervisor present, the inexperienced crew responded to the outage and fire with panic. It was left to a homeowner to call 911 and deal with the chaos. If she had been away, one can only imagine the damage that might have resulted, given that the crew was clearly untrained for such an emergency. With our attorney's help, we contacted ServPro to share our complaints and to try to open dialogue about the final billing for their work. We enclosed a check for the amount on the original estimate (minus the units in which no work was conducted). After two months, we finally heard back from ServPro's lawyer, who told us the company was not willing to alter its billing. He enclosed copies of emails between ServPro employees and our HOA president, claiming that they proved we had been informed of the increase. The enclosures contained no such evidence. After an exchange between our lawyers, ServPro offered a lowered bill (still well above the original estimate). Since we still have not received satisfactory explanation for the significant increase over the estimate, our HOA is not prepared to accept this offer. At the time of this review, our dispute with ServPro has not been resolved. We still hope to receive either a satisfactory explanation or a billing more in line with the original estimate. Regardless of the billing outcome, however, ServPro has left a very poor impression in terms of its customer service and professionalism. We cannot imagine any resolution that would persuade us to do business with them again. If you are considering ServPro for your home, we urge you to save yourself the headache, expense, and legal counsel. Hire someone else. read more

They then tried to charge me 50% over the quote for 1/2 the job they had done, having only done the clean up, not any restore work. Had a very pleasant experience with Servpro today. A fractured pipe leaked a bit of water behind our fridge (behind the sheet rock) into the crawl space over a period of about 24 hours. I suspected everything was fine, since it wasn't much water and only over a short period of time, but when I called Servpro they insisted on coming out to check it out and make sure. Dylan and David showed up and they were very professional, hard working, and just nice guys all around. They checked around the fridge area and pantry using moisture sensors, and confirmed no signs of moisture. Dylan then crawled into the crawl space and spent a good 10-15 minutes there inspecting the beams and insulation. He reported that other than an obvious dried out water spot on the vapor barrier when the water leaked, there were no signs at all of moisture or mold. He was also nice enough to check out the corner of our living room where there was recently moisture coming through due to a nearby bush that funneled water onto the siding. Once again, he reported no issues. It was very refreshing to work with professionals who took time out of their day to give me an honest opinion and charged absolutely nothing for it nor tried to sell me on unnecessary services. [So, one of my rental apartments had toilet water slowly leaking for two months while I waited the legally required amount of time to reclaim the apartment on abandonment. Water and mold damage abound. A plunge or a handle jiggle two months earlier would've prevented the following from happening.] I can't recommend these people. They do good work for a ridiculously high price. I basically got 4-5 days worth of work and a big dehumidifier and air mover and fan unattended for a couple weeks for $6500.00. They came, they ripped out a bunch of drywall and a bit of bathtub tile, let the machines dry everything out, and then painted with a special anti-mold paint. They did it well, but $6500.00 well, I don't think so. The project manager, upon me grilling him a bit and him offering an array of disclaimers, estimated the cost at a little over $2000. I thought that was reasonable, and I still do. As work progressed, about 20% more area was affected than initially thought. I expected that to equate to a 20% increase in the cost. The fact that the cost was going to be TRIPLE what was originally estimated was never communicated to me until the bill came in. Could this have something to do with the fact that initially they thought I was paying out of pocket, but then they found out there was an insurance claim? I wonder... The communication is severely lacking. I never knew when they were coming. They stopped in the middle of the job for about a week because of some insurance issue, and never even communicated that to me until I called and asked why no one had been around. I called in to discuss the bill. It's 10 pages long. Every little thing is itemized, and they have a standard line of gibberish to defend each and every one of the charges, even the ones about machines that weren't there when the bill says they were. So ServPro, if you're reading this, yes I'll be sending you the friggin' check. While the apartment seems to be water and mold free, it's far from habitable. Yes, I got an insurance settlement to repair and replace. After I pay your bill, there's very little left to rebuild the walls, reinstall flooring, paint, reinstall a kitchen and bathroom, etc. But you don't care. The insurance company paid and you're getting yours. That must be how you can afford that office in the biggest building west of the Mississippi. If you've got money burn and you don't want to be bothered until the job is finished, these are the guys for you. But if you're on any kind of budget, or if you'll want updates and progress reports and such, you might want to look elsewhere. read more

This company is a joke. I noticed a VERY bad smell coming from my crawl space (which is right below my kitchen addition) and when I looked in I saw water. My first instinct was that mold was causing the odor. We have three kids and you never want to mess with mold so I called ServPro as soon as I noticed it at 10:00 this morning. My first mistake was calling the 1 800 number where I explained my concern and was told someone from the local branch would return my call within the hour. Nope. No call. So I called the local number after an hour and was told they had just received the service order and their rep would be calling me. The receptionist couldn't get me off the phone quick enough. Two hours after this still no call so I called them back again. Same song and dance only this time the girl on the phone simply said there was a waitlist and If I wanted to wait they would eventually call me back. Waitlist? This was the first I had heard about this but fine. I had to press her on what this waitlist looked like...how long should I expect to wait to hear back. I thought maybe another hour or two, boy was I wrong. I was incredulous with her answer.....2-3 weeks!!! Are they insane? This company blasts all over their website that they offer quick service and that mold is nothing to mess around with. And if they were really that backed up why didn't anyone tell me this 3 hours before when I first called! What a complete waste of time! I got back online and called 911 Restoration and imagine my relief when they had someone out to examine the space within an hour. They discovered that it wasn't really mold causing the odor but something MUCH worse.....raw sewage. Good god. How could I have waited 2-3 weeks for that? Fast forward another 90 minutes and 911 had a crew at my house cleaning all the sewage out and treating the contaminated area. They finished by 5:00 pm and left all the fans/machines down there to do their thing. We have a plumbing company coming tomorrow to figure out where the pipe is broken. None of this is pleasant and the whole idea of mold or sewage in your home is very stressful. That's why you call the professionals. If it was possible I would give ServPro zero stars. No urgency, no transparency and certainly not interested in helping a homeowner who doesn't appear to have a lucrative job for them. Don't waste your time. read more

Servpro was recommended to us by a friend who discovered a terrible water leak and damage to our home while we were out of town. We called them and they responded very quickly. They completely and thoroughly inventoried the damage and posted a comprehensive set of pictures quickly over the next several days, which was extremely helpful and appreciated because we were out of town and could not see the damage for ourselves. Everyone we dealt with from the project manager to the senior manager to the workers on site was extremely knowledgeable, highly communicative, and professional. We were very happy with the demolition which removed ALL of the damaged components and did not to try to cut corners by saving things that should not have been saved or left in place. We were also very happy with the mitigation work they did, including drying the entire premises and the antifungal, antibacterial, anti mold treatments that were done to prevent subsequent damage. It was the combination of all these factors that lead us to highly recommend Servpro. They direct billed our insurance company, too, which was appreciated and well handled. read more

I was on my way to office today (merging from I-90 to I-5). A Servpro truck changed 3 lanes at once without even checking blind spots. I was almost hit had I not turned my car hard and luckily the lane next to me was empty so I had space. After this the truck still changed lanes like crazy on I-5. I am not sure if it was a drunk driver but I can tell quite a bit about the quality of employees they hire. read more

I hope I don't need ServPro again, but I'd call these guys again in a heartbeat. They returned my call within 10 minutes at 10:30 at night and they showed up the next morning to assess the water damage in my home. They had a crew in place within a reasonable time frame and proceeded in stages to ensure they didn't do more than they needed to. Jason, our project manager, responded to emails promptly, even over a weekend. The crew handled with care the personal possessions that they needed to move for the work. I had a water damage and Servepro came out in the middle of the night. It was going great until I asked for an estimate. They told me they don't do estimates after hours. So they stopped and left. When I called back the next day to see if they were going to come back out, they said that they wouldn't be able to come until the next day. So it had been 3 days now and still no estimate. I ended up using another company and they were able to provide me an estimate no problem, and they were really professional. Oh, and then I received a $450 bill from Servepro for them coming out and basically doing nothing. Do not use these people. read more

Just called today to get an emergency assessment associated with sewage damage to my property in my office. Was told no one could come out for two weeks. Now my insurance company wants to refer me to them, but if they treat me this way when I call, I'm pretty sure I can't trust them to get the job done and done well. read more

I had minor water damage in basement requiring lifting of carpet, trimming of carpet pad, and drying over days. The work itself was done well -- the workers troubleshot the problem well and were courteous and efficient. The bill, however, was much higher than anticipated. In addition the charging an extra flat fee for a weekend call plus overtime rates on the hourly work (both expected based on previous experience with a different Servpro group), there was also an undisclosed 4 hour minimum charge per worker (2 workers were there for about an hour each and I was initially charged for 8 hours of overtime labor). After I disputed this, the charge was reduced slightly, to their credit, but they retained a charge for drive time (an extra 3 hours for 2 workers). So I was still charged 5 hours of overtime for about 2 hours of work. The total cost ended up being more than what I had paid to a different Servpro group last year for what was a much larger and more complex job (also a weekend call). read more

When my upstairs neighbor's washer flooded our condo, it was a nightmare. With water, it's not enough to mop up the damage. That's easy. It's everything inside walls and ceiling that becomes the problem. The stuff you can't see, or fix. Waiting is not an option. This was the first time I'd been in this situation, but not SERVPRO! From my first phone call to describe the problem and schedule someone to look at it; to the project manager who walked me through what he'd found and a recommended course of action; to the guys who came, tore apart the things they needed to so everything that was still wet could dry; to their final goodbye when the jet-engine fans dried it all out; I was totally impressed. They treated me, and my home, with respect. They were meticulous with our 100 year old wood trim and floors. I could not have asked for a nicer, more professional group of people to help me through my nightmare. I totally recommend them all! read more
