Also the brand of my SUV most places will automatically up charge me and make it an excuse just because it's a luxury brand, they don't do that here! Also, if you're a woman that is concerned about getting ripped off by mechanics over here they're pretty honest. Yeah, it's pricey. Most of the work they recommend I get done elsewhere for like half the cost but they are honest about it. Anything they recommend you need you actually do need. They always are respectful to me, I never get that talking down treatment that a lot of men give women at mechanic shops, quite the opposite they are very respectful. They also have been willing to special order parts for me that they don't have on hand to do repairs, like I said it is a bit pricey but they also were even willing to work with me on that. To the extent they can, it is a chain. But this location especially I really like the management! The crew is also very respectful. My car is always returned perfectly clean exactly like I gave it to them, which I can't say for a lot of places have taken my car to. Even though it is the law of abatement, still. Only one star down because as a chain, a lot of these repair prices are ridiculous. Which is not the fault of the people working at this shop, I know a lot of that is set by corporate. So anything outside of specials is rather exorbitant, other than that no complaints!

I was able to drop the car off and let them take care of everything, which made the process really easy. Ray called me later to explain what was going on. Unfortunately, my engine was shot, and he was upfront in telling me that it wasn't worth fixing. I really appreciated the honesty--it immediately gave me confidence in the kind of shop they run. When I arrived, Ray walked me through the issues in more detail. After talking it over, I agreed it didn't make sense to move forward with repairs. Even though I fully expected to pay for the diagnostic, Ray and the owner kindly waived the fee. They absolutely didn't have to do that, especially since I wasn't moving forward with any work. That small act of kindness during a stressful situation meant a lot to me. Their honesty, transparency, and genuine care have definitely earned my trust, and I'll be coming back in the future.

I only discovered it once I got home. When I confronted the shop owner, Pat, he admitted to the damages but communication from that point on became challenging and more difficult than it needed to be. There were long gaps without his response and at times the tone felt dismissive or unnecessarily tense, which made the situation even more stressful. I've made many attempts to work with Pat to find a fair and reasonable solution. To this day, I'm actually still waiting for a reply to my last message asking again to discuss a reasonable solution. After repeated non-responses and apathetic communication, it became clear that no compromise would be reached. The only option he is willing to offer is the one solution I clearly stated I'm not comfortable with: bringing my car back this same shop that damaged it in the first place. Given the damages my car received from 5 Stars Automotive, my hesitation is understandable. I even tried to negotiate a different solution by providing multiple repair estimates from other reputable auto shops and he responded by calling this practice "dishonest" (very ironic, I know). I'm leaving this review because I believe it's important to be transparent about my experience. I put my trust in this shop to restore my car's appearance, but instead I'm forced to deal with additional damages they caused.

Carros Baratos was amazing. One of my delivery truck…read moretransmission blowed and i needed a replacement FAST. Visited several dealers around OC and they all looked and acted like crooks. Ended up at Carros at 5pm and they had a nice Ram van with low miles for a good price. I explained i needed the van for the next morning, and i'll be back around 10am with the cashier check. When i arrived the salesman had ALL the paperwork already prepared in my name, and in 15 minutes i was ok the road and the van ready to take it's delivery route. Thanks SO much to a very good team.
